You're an intelligent guy, but you're spewing PURE PROPAGANDA in the post above!! Or you really didn't read the site. There is nothing in the ADOS101 agenda that says "don't vote" or even implies it. They specifically state that "
#ADOS #AmericanDOS sets out to shift the dialogue around the identity of what it is to be African American in an effort to move the discussion from melanin, and properly center the discussion around lineage".
I wish some of you motherfuckers would stop trying to shift the narrative to being about "not voting" or "xenophobia" or "Russian bots" and other dumb shit!
HERE'S WHAT THE MOVEMENT IS ABOUT!!! Slavery and its legacy! If you can't relate or it's not your heritage then simply fall back and STFU about it!!
Naw Fam.. I read the site several times.
This is a Don't vote site... Of course it's not going to come out and say it... that's to obvious.
If you tell a grown man..... "Don't eat this cookie".... That grown man is going to say... "I'm a grown man. How dare you tell me what to do." and he will eat the cookie.
But if you say the right phrases to make him think that not eating the cookie was his idea..... then he will likely not eat it.
(Not the best comparison... but I know some will catch the point)...
While I like the concept....
The problem is in the intentions...... Specific words were used to incite a specific response.
Everything negative was geared towards the Democratic party to lead one to say that the African American population is nothing but the lapdogs of the democratic party...
While at the same time..... Everything positive was said towards the Republican party... And I mean everything...
Could they have left all of that out to convey the same message.. YEAP...
Should they have highlighted blame on Both parties....... YEAP.....
...... Should they identify how they actually intend to accomplish anything with this movement ... YEAP..
This movement is specifically designed to create dissension among Black people...... Just look at the comments in here. Look at the comments on the website..
You have a movement .... that intentionally wants to separate on the Census those who are Americans Descendants of Slavery from Black Immigrants..
http://ados101.com/black-agenda
Has anyone even asked... How the fuck are you doing to do that? Are you going to ask everyone that looks black....... "Did your family come in on a Slave Ship?"
Did anyone think... Oh snap.. There were blacks that came over here that were never slaves? They were free their entire life. Do their family fit under this?
"Slavery was legal and practiced in each of the European colonies at various times. Not all Africans who came to America were slaves; a few came even in the 17th century as free men, sailors working on ships. In the early colonial years, some Africans came as indentured servants who were freed after a set period of years, as did many of the immigrants from the British Isles. Such servants became free when they completed their term of indenture; they were also eligible for headrights for land in the new colony in the Chesapeake Bay region, where indentured servants were more common."

What about the 300K White people that were shipped from Britain in chains and treated as Slaves prior to the Colonies using African slaves? Do they fit?
I'm in no way trying to trivialize the plight of our people...... or true grass roots movements... But I also hate to see us drawn into stupid causes....
But right now....... This isn't passing the smell test for me.
