Who's your barber, Stevie Wonder?

Killa I was just in Mississippi over the weekend on my way to New Orleans. Next time I want to stop in Biloxi and hit the casinos and take the lady to the beach.

Beautiful down there, but them CAC are running things down there.

If you know some Black owned restaurants let me know.

Gave my barber $25 and left the shop looking like a young Mike Pence.

I fucking hate this city sometimes

Man I cut my own shit. Got a good set of Andis clippers and a edger. I’m damn near a barber with my skills. The crazy shit is I’m only good cutting my own hair because I know my hair pattern in the back. I once cut my boys hair and fucked his shit all up he had to go bald. I warned him. I can cut my sons hair good now too.

I haven’t been to a barber since maybe around '08 but it was bordering between $20-25 even then to get a cut...get your beard lined up plus a fucking tip

i was paying 25-30 in detroit. but the fades were top notch.

i moved to memphis and was paying 20-25. the first dude i found was good. but i was living in the rural areas and he was an hour away. i would call/text him and he would make an appointment. that nigga didn't show up one too many times and i said fuck that.

then i tried to find someone else. i had too many niggas fuck my shit up and or i would be waiting hours for a cut. i was already maintaining my shit between cuts (and i always lined my own beard) with some wahl 5* liners a straight razor and wahl adjustable clippers. i said fuck it two years ago and started cutting my own shit.

i'll be damned if i am coming out of 25 bux for wack ass fades AND in some instances having to wait 2-4 hours for a cut. and i am cutting my shit better than they did. people ask me where i get my shit cut. wtf???

$20-25 for a cut is pretty normal most places. Most of the barbers in my area do $17-18.

This is the first time I've seen tiered pricing for kids though it does make sense.

Nah, just good down home Southern folk. See, some people value relationships over money guy. By keeping prices the same he has kept clientele for decades. Plus he is right next to the Atlanta University Center...gets a lot of students with these low prices.
and by keeping the same prices for decades his business has had no growth, while inflation and living expenses get higher.

He seems to be doing rather well and good with where he is in life. You don't know how he invested his money over 50 years.

Just stop speaking on a person you have no knowledge of.

what really is a barber expenses... Clippers are prob cheaper now than b4... Some toothbrushes and other cleaning items to clean the clippers, them smell goods they spray on you ain't expensive... If he got other barbers he make money renting chairs...depending on state the property might be cheap plus he might have 1 of them long as leases where rent don't really go up

Those prices look about right I’m just too lazy and impatient to cut my own hair I could shave myself with no problem but cutting my own hair I let somebody else do it

By the way, he owns the shop. He has other barbers paying him rent to work in his shop. His expenses other than rent, taxes and business insurance probably don't change much and if they do, he can raise rent on his barbers without raising it on customers.
