I made cilantro mac and cheese with a few diced up jalapeños. The pickled kind, not the real hot ones... Shit was banging... But everybody talked shit without trying it. But them same muthafuckas gobbled up Mac and cheese with a bunch of egg in it as "binder" and the shit was good??? As diverse and we are as a people I will never understand why were so closed minded when it comes to food. Unless you put lobster, crab, or shrimp in it...

I'm sure she didn't exclusively use cream cheese though. A little probably made it creamier. Never tried it, so I can't vouch for it. But it's not as weird as mom was making it out to be.

Man thats how shit went down last year. Ninjas called on Tuesday like "I heard you were cooking this year." I dont normally cook, cause my fam are them same simple asses with tastebuds like 6 year olds, and her fam are a bit more refined. I like laughing at the culture clash, not having to mediate it. So against my better judgment I agree to host. Every household was supposed to bring a dish, Ill let you guess whos people did as they were instructed... Only one side complained about the food... Again... Ill let you guess whos people complained. So year, I talked cash shit and showed my ass. A few of the fam didnt talk to me again until summertime.

Ok, I hear you. We do a family BBQ first Saturday of June every year. My sister works her ass off every year to make it right, and we all have a ball. About 4 years ago my cousin pulled some fuck shit, after not contributing at all, and she air him the fuck out. He hasn't showed up since.
