Red Dead Redemption 2 (spoilers)

The Gawd damn O' driscols did the same thing to me in the middle of a Bridge....

Thank gawd I had a save right before that shit..

I didn't make it. Shit came out of no where.
try to slow down - use the light gallop when riding on roads - gives me enough time to avoid and force them to chase me
- I usually lead them some where that I can come around and ambush them

If I need to avoid setups and bushwacking I ride off road
If I'm going north south in Lemoine I usually go along a river or creek

another reason I'm loving this game is because almost every IRL trick I know on how to navigate woodlands without being seen works in this game

I saw that shit. There's even a white. Buy it. I don't know if I'm supposed to do something with it or not

Also, I got bitten by a rattlesnake and I don't know what to do. My health core keeps showing a red Skull. I took some ginseng and it said I was healthy, and then it flash that I'm still feeling the effects or rattlesnake bite AND Im immune two ginseng for a day

Yet and still my healthcore still shows the Red Skull occasionally.

How do I heal the snake bite?
ginseng + miracle tonic and maybe eat some meat or stew from the camp

Did anyone take a bath at the hotel and get washed by that dusty ass big tittie bitch? Game is amazing yo!!!!

Did not have a head to collision but I did back into a train inside this long dark ass tunnel near the top of the map. Shit had to be inside a mountain..

After I backed into it... I put on the mask

And proceeded to go murder the conductor cause I pissed off that dude was behind me blowing that gawd damn whistle..

I pull out my lantern cause it’s dark as shit and I wanted to sneak up on the passengers like white el Diablo..

Turns out the trains was a cargo train and protected with Pinkerton agents ...

Ended up having an epic pitch black shootout involving two trains in a long ass tunnell....

Me against 5 agents...

Once I killed them.. I was going to loot but the wanted sign popped up ... so I got back on my train and dipped.

See these are the cool unscripted moments that you get in this game...

You can do cool random shit in Gt5 but never like this..

Drive the train into Blackwater next time and tell us how it goes.

there are multiple ladies in distress that caught me or almost got me slipping in this game

after the first one or 2 - I now roll up on every person in distress with my pump shot gun in hand
I haven't run into them yet. I know in the first game they were constantly trying to set you up.

For the hunters trying to build up the camp without doubling back to find out what you need

FYI: the perfect pelts aren't pooled together between Pearson and the Trapper. So if each require a certain pelt, you have to get it for each one, respectively. Kinda sucks.

Jesus this game....

On my random travels.. I ended up in at this house and killed all the dudes inside .. stole their cash

Now I’m on the mission with the Irish dude to rob the house and Arthur casual says.. you know I’ve been here before. I didn’t know you meant this place.

Man if the money didn’t respawn because I already robbed them..

I’m going to trip.

Agreed. :yes::yes:

Btw, speaking of ‘navigating the woodlands without being seen’... whenever I get a “Wanted” Level... I usually ride my horse on the nearest train tracks to escape lawmen & bounty hunters. Because they tend to form a posse & stick to the main roads, footpaths, shortcuts and open fields... but they rarely get on train tracks for any long period of time.

The added bonus is... if a train ever comes down the track... you can use it as a blockade to put some distance between yourself & the posse chasing you... just like they do in Western movies.

Works like a charm.

Another Tip for those who may not know >> Keep some canned food & health tonics at all times. (And keep some food & tonics for your horse, as well.)

Most Canned food will restore your main ‘core’ stats (the big icon in the middle) for health, stamina & dead eye. And the tonics will fill the outer rings. Some do both!!

Plus you can eat food (or drink tonics) for yourself / or use the horse tonics while galloping at full speed... Arthur will stick his horse with a syringe injection, which provides a burst of adrenaline. Enough to get you to safety & regroup.

It’s a ‘must’ if you ever get involved in a massive gun battle... or you are outnumbered / or taking too much damage.

Or when some old fool pop out the woods and challenge you to a race. Shot my horse up with some shit and took off on his ass.

I got robbed in Saint Dennis today. A guy calls me over and ask if I wanted to make some money then another guy sneaks up behind and knocks me out. I wake up in the grave yard and they took some of my shit and $5000 :fuckyousay:

I help as many strangers as I can but I haven't got caught slipping yet.

When I get off my horse to see what's up I'll have that pump shotgun in hand. Nigga run up on me it's dead eye and shotgun blasts for everybody.

And did anybody ever just sit and watch the kkk before going all in? They are a bunch of screw ups on the three stooges level. First time they set a member on fire then all run away scared and screaming. Second time while trying to get ready for the meet up while trying to stand up the cross it falls and crushes the people that were trying to stand it up.

And arthur hates slavery... I unknowingly did a side mission where I go get a ledger for this old dude and it was a slave ledger.
He was PISSED when he opened it and saw what it was.

Arthur brought the stuff back to him, threw the ledger in the camp fire and talked a lil shit to dude in the process.

Yup, I did this mission.:yes:

At the very end... when he was on his knees, all crying-n shit over his little campfire.... I executed that old fucker & put him out of his misery... shot him right in the dome... for being 'proud' of his old job / being 'angry' that times had changed & slavery ended. Felt so damn good.

Hell the REAL racism is in Saint Denis...

I walked past this dude on the street and he was going on and on about the superiority of the CAC race, hated "co-mingling," and the purity of races is what God intended

Had a desk and pamphlets to hand out, think the sign said "the science of eugenics"

did this happen during a cutscene or did you have a fair chance of fighting back?

Just a heads up y'all... I think there may be a minor bug with the documents / letters / photos. :dunno:

PROBLEM

Whenever you read a letter (or view a photo) that you have acquired... once you select "Put Away"... sometimes a new location / side-mission will be unlocked on your map. But it doesn't always work.

For example: in a saloon in Valentine you will meet a writer named Calloway, who asks you to track down a group of 4 famous Gunslingers. He gives you a photo of each one. Basically, he wants you to find them & kill them... and then take a picture of each of them.

Important: Most of these Gunslingers have a 'unique weapon' they will drop, when killed. You want to pick these up.

Whenever you get a new photo/book/or letter, you might open the item right away (or wait awhile :dunno:) >> then read it / or view it >> then just put it away, and completely forget about it. But viewing the 4 gunslinger photos & just putting them away doesn't always unlock their related side-missions, for some strange (buggy) reason. :dunno:

I viewed these photos when I first got them... even flipped them over... then selected 'Put Away'.... but nothing happened. :smh: However, when I went back and opened my inventory & looked at the photos a 2nd time (a few days later), I noticed something...

SOLUTION

If you use the D-Pad to scroll through your 'document' inventory, it should unlock (previously unknown) side-missions that were supposed to work earlier. Including this one & others.

STEP 1 - Open your satchel

rkq63q.jpg

STEP 2 - Select the 'Documents' menu tab.

10r5y0j.jpg

STEP 3 - Open an item (like the Gunslinger photos, for example)

2mqje2u.jpg

STEP 4 - Use the D-Pad to open the next item.

be63op.jpg

Use the D-Pad method (whenever possible) to open ALL the items in your 'Documents' tab.

This will probably unlock any (related) side-missions that were previously unavailable. (i.e. unless a particular side-mission is not supposed to be available until your reach a certain point in the 'main story' missions)

Hope this helps.

I'll add that you should always take the time to go to fire and cook your game meat. Game meat will restore more of your core... while the canned food will restore a small amount.

Dunno how it happened to him :dunno:... but I can verify there are SEVERAL different ways you can 'get jacked'.
  • Sometimes there is a discussion, first.
  • Sometimes, you have the opportunity to fight back.
  • Sometimes, you get ambushed & they already have their guns drawn. :smh:
  • Sometimes, you have the opportunity to 'refuse' to help a stranger who might seem kinda 'sketchy'. :dunno:
  • Sometimes, you merely just 'approach' a stranger and get mollywhopped from behind (once you get close enough, before you can even 'interact' with them)... without any hesitation or warning.
It all depends. :dunno:

You can shot him the second time you see him.

It wasn't a cut scene until after I was hit and they were talking afterwards.

It starts like a lot of the stranger missions with the guy saying follow me, so I was probably just caught off guard.
