Red Dead Redemption 2 (spoilers)

I seem to have left him and Saint Denis. What I'm saying is I don't know how. When I whistled for him they said he was too far to whistle. I went back Saint Denis and returned to Valentine and he was there. I can't figure this shit out
Just save and then load your game man. Instant horse transmission. You're making it harder than it is.

I was leaving valentine in cinema mode crossing a bridge and was robbed by some bandits. Luckily I just saved 10 minutes prior so I reloaded and the same thing happen again, but this time I was prepared.

Caught slipping enjoying the scenery...smh..
It’s called the Wild West for a reason. 3 niggaz tried me the other day. Yeah too bad for them I was trying out this new tonic that I made from some roots I found fortified and filled my Dead eye. Two shots to the head for each of them bitches. Here’s the thing that pissed me off tho, I lost honor and someone saw me so I had to pay off the bounty:furious:

Btw if you do get robbed and then shoot the bandits you will not get your money back. Searching the bandit and the horse saddle turned up nothing.

Fuck riding. A lot of bad shits can happen along the way (wolves, I heard a cougar attacking somebody as I rode past with my gold, you can also get robbed).

I suggest you catch the train to Saint Denis. It cost $10 but each gold bar you have it's worth $500. In Saint Denis, you can catch the fence who will give you money for the gold. I haven't done much with it besides Buy a faster horse, get a good saddle & Stirrups.

The fence is not that far from the post office

Well, hell...

That's why I keep a revolver. How the hell the robbers gonna rob the robber?

that’s fucked up
Is there a way to deposit money into the bank? I've got $45000 (thanks gold glitch), and the last crew that rolled up talking about I was going to give them a big donation I rode off in the other direction rather than fight them

I don't want to lose everything

you asking the wrong brother...I definitely haven’t made that much progression

You got more money than you're need right now. Upgrade the camp, buy some weapons, some clothes and enjoy the game. Between bank robberies and treasure hunts you're going to get more money. Save when you're free roaming and always keep your dead eye meter full. If you die reload the last save.

The only way you can legit lose everything is if you get arrested.

I’m really trying to take breaks with this game but I’m sucked in like I never have on anything before ...

Some days... I just like to shoot a deer and bring it back to camp for some stew..

Shit is crazy.
It's just so much to do

I'm late because I didn't know this about the skins. smdh

looking through the scope or binoculars will tell you if the hide of any animal is 3 stars

I forgot to post that if you go hunting... you can carry several animals / skins on your horse.

Pretty sure you can carry at least 4-5 skins... each one is layed flat & piled on your horseback, then you can strap down a larger animal (like a deer) on top of the skins... plus you can attach a smaller (whole) animal (like a wild turkey) on each side of your saddle... plus you can skin several more smaller animals (like birds, rabbits, foxes, etc) & carry them ALL at the same time.

Skinning animals allows you to carry the meat, feathers, horns, major organs & hides. And these animal parts will ‘stack’ in your saddle bag inventory, and take up less space.

I’ve gone hunting for long periods of time.... and killed & brought back like at least 10+ or more various small/mid-sized animals & fish in my saddle bag & one large-sized (whole) animal on horseback, all at the same time.... However, I dunno what the actual ‘limits’ are. :dunno:

So you can bring kill & bring back like 5+ or more deer to the camp, if you keep one whole & skin the rest. And all the same ‘animal parts’ are available to the Butcher. Whether whole, or skinned.

Map looks intimidatingly big. Is traveling on horse THAT fun or do you dread going from place to place unless you fast travel?
Assist...

Traveling by horse is alot of FUN....... because it's highly unpredictable.
And that's what this game is all about. It puts the 'Wild'... in the Wild West.

You will ALWAYS encounter various side missions that pop-up on your radar... or wild animals that will dash right in front of your path... or (enthusiastic) bounty hunters & lawmen... or rival gangs who might try to rob you... or you might hear people screaming in the distance... or hear gunshots being fired... or see people being chased (or robbed) on the side of the road... or see prisoners attempting a jail break... or you will hear dangerous predators (like wolves, bears & mountain lions) growling in the distance... or there might be a 'change of weather' that will slow down your current travel pace.

On horseback, it's very, very easy to get distracted (or caught up ) in some WILD-ASS event (or chase, or gun battle)... that will lead you far away from your 'intended' destination.

It's always a 'mixed bag'... of different DYNAMIC events... that will occur while you ride from one territory to the next. But in my opinion, that amount of 'randomness' is what makes it sooooo enjoyable. Because you can (literally) ride horseback for HOURS.... and not have the exact same thing happen 2X twice (or in a row). :smh:

You don't need to 'fast travel' all the time :smh:, unless you really want to AVOID any mishaps / or risky encounters while you are on your way to go do something else.

But you have to be mindful of how far away you are from a camp or a trader because the skin and the meat of the animal will go bad. I’ve had meat go bad several times.

Also...

I don’t know if this has been mentioned but try to take a bath anytime you are able...

People will definitely treat you different if you look and smell like shit.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention.... 'stay alert' and pay attention to the behavior of your horse at all times when riding through the countryside, especially off the main roads.

Even if you (yourself) cannot detect / see / or hear a LARGE (silent) predator... oftentimes your horse will get highly agitated whenever 'impending doom' is at hand.

Your horse might start to breathe very heavily, or buck, or shake its head, or sneeze, or whinny, or shuffle sideways, or (briefly) rear up on its hind legs, or turn in small circles... (or do any combination of these)... depending on the 'level of danger' it can detect & how far away it is. (And the more you 'bond' with your horse, the easier it becomes to detect these signals & its mood right away.)

If there is a dangerous (human) enemy lurking nearby, or a Grizzly Bear, or a Mountain Lion, or a pack of Wolves... that is (silently) stalking you... your horse will be the first to let you know... which gives you a little bit time to get ready. Sometimes these 'subtle hints' in your horse's behavior can make all the difference between life & death.

The realism is on point.
