Are they still doing construction? I thought they lowered the speed limit to 35 when they started working on it.
Corporations and rich people get tax breaks and they make up the money by squeezing the people who can least afford it. I'm not opposed to keeping pedestrians safe but there are many, many different factors that go into that. Including educating the pedestrians. When's the last time you saw a cop giving a ticket for jaywalking or crossing against the light? These mfkrs are just going after the low hanging fruit.

I’ve known dudes to lose nice cars over speeding tickets in DC. Bamas couldn’t pay all the fines they ended up accumulating, so there goes the S550. I am surprised I never got hit with tickets while driving in DC to work. Then again I drive super slow anyways. All across the DMV they have those speeding cameras. It seems like everyone wants their cut and want in on this racquet.

Yes 25mph is excessive and considered “Reckless” driving. It’s always been that way, cops can impound your car and arrest you in some states for that.
Regarding 15mph, unless it’s in a school zone. Do you know how hard it is to drive 15mph?
Also many in this thread are talking about getting speeding tickets in general. Five miles over the limit will get you a $100 ticket or more.
Have you driven in DC? They will put a speed camera right off of an highway exit into a street where they purposely have a speed limit of 25 mph. By time you realize what the speed limit is... boom the camera flash gets you.
It isn't hard to go 25 mph in these situations.

Well they should change the law about allowing the bicycles on the road. It is some bullshit behind this just like it was bullshit behind that stand your ground law. Which was really another version of a ****** hunting license. Some things are being tested in one state at a time. I am glad I am not living in DC right now.
They have always been doing that.. And a lot of changes are being made in every state. It always causes the citizen to bow down to money and authority more. And you will always have those that do not know they have totally sold their soul to the system. Changes do not effect them unless they no longer are totally and easily controlled.
In Alabama we have a highway that goes from Alabama into Georgia. The speed limit use to be 70 they changed it to 55. They claimed they changed it because of construction going on. But the construction has been over with many years ago. The question is why didn't the speed limit go back up?
