LeBron James to the Lakers

Why give up assets with no guarantee. I know PG13 backed out but I doubt the same scenario will play out.

because these niggas are not turning down the supermax
its really that simply
thats why he's trying hard as hell to get traded now

Pop can go screw himself. They have no leaverage. He's gonna bounce regardless. The longer they wait the less they gonna get in return. I really hope we wait until next year. We will have depth with Ingram & Kuzma. The only move we should make is move Ball and one of our young fowards to Portland for Lillard.
Ain't no fuckin way in hell Portland would do that shit. :roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2:

Well, I guess we will wait until next year. Kawhi will sit out, and we can keep all our stuff and the Spurs will get nothing. They to take just Ingram, Deng, and 1st round and call it good.

Lakers need to do this deal. Kawhi and LeBron will attract more free agents in 2019. Plus it’s unknown if Kuzma, Ingram, Hart and what other picks they give to the Spurs will end up being great players.

"...And then they say, ‘It’s LeBron’s team.’ No, this is Lonzo’s team. He’s coming over here. We ain’t going to Cleveland.”
-Lavar Ball

Lavar is right. Lonzo is gonna make LeBron better. Handling and distributing the ball and playing tough defense on the opposing teams PG.

Portland ain't winning with their dynamic duo backcourt. Portland needs a 3 and they're replacing their starting of and getting picks.

Nope.
It don't make any sense to trade the face of their franchise for scraps
If they trade Lillard they'd need more than a 3 so that shit ain't even close to even in any way shape or form

You can't sell me bs I know the prices fam.

For c.j. it MIGHT work
For Lillard? Haha yeah right

Bills do you agree that Portland needs to trade 1 of those guys cuz they cant win with both? And Im not even saying to the Lakers. They both shoot volume and like low percentage shots. That first round sweep wasnt pretty.

dude there's other teams he can be shipped too
people are acting like they can only trade with LA
he will end up in philly
old spurs coach, same system, and he has a chance to go to the finals

Ok Let's say you are the GM of (insert any team name here that is not called the Lakers)
And I am the GM of the Spurs...
  • You already know that Kawhi wants to play in LA...
  • And you already know he will be an Unrestricted Free Agent next summer...
  • Which means you can get Kawhi for 1 single season before he probably leaves town...
Your phone rings.
Its ME on the other line, and I say to you....

"Listen, I want to trade Kawhi to you. But I want your very BEST players on the team + a bunch of future Draft picks."

Now which players (and how many draft picks) are you willing to give ME.... in exchange for getting Kawhi for just 1 single season?? :dunno:

This is the whole dilemma that the Spurs are in.

1 of those guys yes.
The guy is cj.
Lillard shows up in the playoffs for the most part
He fights
He tries
He's usually out there by himself this as CJ shows up only sometimes at best

They've lost 13 straight playoff games so it's way beyond just this last 1st round 13 straight.

So you can absolutely trade cj

You ain't trading Lillard who's proven with some decent help he can lead a team to the playoffs as well as win playoff series
For scraps.
Picks = scraps

Not really cause they can get something good for him and trade him east

They just not gonna help out the Lakers in any way

That's the Lakers price not the price for other teams

I hear you, but I'm not saying the Spurs are trynna 'help out' the Lakers. :smh:

The point I was trying to make is... exactly what you are alluding to...

The Spurs will not be able to get *a lot* for Kawhi... if they trade him to ANY other team... because every other team is not gonna give away their BEST players (or the most draft picks) for 1 single player that is only gonna be on their squad for just 1 single year. :smh:

The Spurs would only get *the most* in return, from the Lakers.

Because the Lakers would be the ONLY team that is negotiating for a *long term* scenario.
While everyone else is just negotiating for very *short term* scenarios.

That's the dilemma that the Spurs are currently in.

Honestly, I think the BEST thing the Spurs could do... is to try to negotiate a 3-way trade... with the Lakers and someone else.

To me, that would ensure that ANY 3rd team involved would be negotiating for players that would stay either *mid term* or *long term*.
With a 3-way trade, everyone involved gets something/someone that fits their needs for MORE than just 1 single year.

Just my opinion.

Spurs are not about to help the Lakers in any way tho
So it's really all or nothing
Kawhi already said he'd be open to signing an extension in Philly - according to sources
So if I'm Philly the only players off limits are Simmons and embid but you can totally package tons of shit and picks for the future cause if you have Simmons kawhi and embid you don't need much else if abything at all in the east

The big problem with that whole scenario is.... the Sixers do not have anyone else BESIDES Simmons and Embiid that the Spurs would take in exchange for Kawhi. :smh:

Click Here >> Look at the Sixers current roster today.
The Spurs ain't gonna take a few draft picks + Markelle Fultz + Dario Saric + (insert any name here). :smh:

There aren't any good combinations of players & draft picks you could put together... in exchange for Kawhi. :dunno:

So either Simmons or Embiid MUST be a part of any deal involving Kawhi. Nothing less.
Which brings us right back to square one, imo.

Just saying.

They're going to help the LAL indirectly. If not directly. Pride is the last thing to go.

Damn near the same pieces I've been proposing are the same pieces that are being talked about by the media. It would take less to get Lillard than it would for Kawhi. Makes more sense to pull the Lillard trade and get Kawhi next year.
Unless I'm getting something I think can help me out I'm not helping a division rival fuck dat shit.
