I thought I would start a MAC thread supplying my unjustly deprived MAC users with some shit they can use to enhance their lives. I got everything you need from photoshop CS3 beta to final cut 5.1 studio. I am a lazy poster, I must admit, but I will try to supply you malnourished fiends with some shit periodically to keep you going till the next hit. I dont know how many people on this board use MAC so I will see the general response after this first post to determine how far I go. TiVoToGo -- at last on the Mac
Mac users of TiVo Digital Video Recorder (DVR) systems have long sought a Macintosh-compatible version of TiVoToGo, software that enables you to transfer television programs recorded on a TiVo to a computer. Blu-Ray comes to Mac
With new desktop Blu-Ray drives finding their way to market from Sony and other companies, Toast 8 Titanium now supports Blu-Ray Disc burning. Blu-Ray discs are high capacity optical disc that can store up to 25GB of data on a single-layer Blu-Ray disc, or 50GB on a dual-layer disc. The new format is one of two competing for the attention of consumers looking for High Definition (HD) discs for their widescreen TVs, and is gaining traction among computer and computer peripheral manufacturers.

Toast 8's Dynamic Writing feature lets you use a Blu-Ray disc as you would a regular hard disk drive; the icon appears on your desktop, and you can drag content to and from the disc without having to rewrite or burn it separately.

Data cataloging, spanning
Toast 8 Titanium now creates an offline catalog of any disc it burns, so you can track data you might have offloaded to CD or DVD. Imma hold off on that for a few reasons:

1. Nothing against you but this is your first post. If some more of the vets request then I will put it up sooner. Either way its gonna get put up sooner or later.

2. Imma post the WHOLE FINAL CUT PRO 5.1 STUDIO VERSION UNIVERSAL BINARY which if you know bout final cut this is the absolute latest version and inlcudes MOTION, SOUNDTRACK, FINAL CUT, LIVETYPE, COMPRESSOR, and DVD STUDIO PRO.

Howver, when I do post it I suggest you have a rapidshare account cuzz the whole package is gonna be over 300-400 rapishare links (like 60 gigs of info).

3. Also...unless you have at least a 1 gig dual processor I would recommed to dont even bother. Even that is beging generous.

Who knows......I might just put up final cut pro 5.1 b/c that should only be like 10 RS links instead of the whole studio.

These reasons are ultimately why Im gonna wait on posting this one. B/C the effort involved to put up is not worth only like 2 people getting it

BTW, in all honesty you really shoulldnt be having any spyware or virus trouble at all.

the only known spywares on mac are keystroke loggers
you can find some of them searching on versiontracker.com

And the only way a keystroke logger can end up on your system is that somebody knowing you system pass has installed it
Or you've entered your system pass while installing a compromised application

The other known spywares are applications phoning home when you are using them
These apps can easily be blocked by Little Snitch

Another possibility are applications that require that you enter your password.

The vast majority of them are using the System AuthorisationTrampoline.
It's a process in OS X to secure requests of the password by applications.

But some applications aren't using the AuthorisationTrampoline, so they can keep the pass for further use

An example of these applications that aren't using the AuthorisationTrampoline is Cocktail
I don't say that Cocktail keeps your pass, but it isn't using the AT

Super Get Info by Aladdin System seems to use the AT but it keeps your password, if I remember well.

The AuthorisationTrampoline's window is easily recognizable.
It has a Details button and a Help Viewer question mark button.

But it can easily be falsified

Apple recommends that all applications use the AuthorisationTrampoline

How do I chop up files with rapidshare.
