Kawhi Leonard reportedly no longer wants to play for the Spurs

You think Pop is going to help the Lakers and take Lou aww Dang?

:lol::lol::lol::roflmao:

For Lavar Ball and Kuzma?

Lakers ain't getting anyone. If they do, it will backfire worse than the 52 mil they have Kobe instead of hitting him with that amnesty and doing a back door deal

If the Suns would be willing to trade #1 pick for Kawai, I'm all for it. That is a possibility coming out of Phoenix. Funny how some people are willing to give nothing for the Spurs and get Kawai in return. Spurs are a better organization than that.

Doc Rivers and owner Steve Ballmer may win out. Clippers have two lottery picks (12, 13), Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, and 7'3 center Marjanovic for the Spurs to choose from.

They will want way more than that!!
As a Laker fan I don't wanna part with Lonzo or Ingram based purely off their potential. But I know the Spurs will want either Kuz or Ingram. We can part with Ingram if were getting Kawhi but Kuz can be a stretch 4. I would move Randle in a sign and trade along with Ingram (he can reach his full potential in San) take Dengs contract off our hands and give them the 8th pick.

Bradley is a free agent I believe. Plus Pop is trading him within the conference. I don't see Pop helping a conference rival.

not enough, if Im the Spurs.....

It’s not like Kyrie who had 2 years left in his contract. Lakers could wait the Spurs out and not give up anything.
Wait them out until next summer?

And you think the Spurs wont have atleast 10 other teams throwing them offers in the meanwhile?

Leonard doesn’t have to sign a long-term contract with any of those teams. Everyone know he wants to go back to LA. That’s two teams: Clippers and Lakers. Those teams have the leverage. What squad will give away valuable assets to the Spurs knowing that he would not sign a contract with them?

:roflmao3:@Kobe sta- err "Laker fans" not wanting them to sign LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard to save Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram.

All the Spurs can do is trade Kawhi somewhere as a 1 year rental. Not alot of leverage at all. If Kawhi wants to be a Laker he will be a Laker.

A team traded for Kyrie with 2 years. A team traded for PG13 with one year. Kawhi is twice the player as both. Teams will absolutely trade assets for a year of him and a chance to sign him long term. Look my man, there will be no shortage of teams blowing up Spurs phone for a chance at a top 3 pick.... even as a one year rental.

Why would the Suns give up the #1 pick in the draft for a player that only has 1 year left on his contract and is almost certainly not going to re-sign? Y'all keep making GM moves but not understanding how complex it is when you try and trade for a player on the last year of his deal. That player has leverage. Spurs cannot get but so much because unless they are dealing with a terrible GM who has many assets and who is willing to trade away his best talent for a 1 year rental, the Spurs aren't in the best of trade positions.

Yeah Pop is gonna have a sit down with Kawhi and see if they can repair things. Worst thing they can do is gut their team when they don't need to. Its the exact thing the Knicks did when they got Melo. Gave up too much when they could have waited.

Kyrie had two years. George at least acted like he would consider OKC. Leonard has made it clear that he is leaving one of the best coaches and organizations of all time (and a 5-year, $219 million deal) cause he wants to be closer to home (LA).

Agree
They gonna get him then spend the entire year convincing him to stay

Nah
Leonard wants to be closer to home
But if none of the fuck shit would have happened he would sign with the Spurs
The Spurs are the reason he'd rather be elsewhere and if you'd rather be elsewhere you'd prefer to go home

He just don't want to be there

Spurs will not trade him to the Lakers, Kawhi should forget about that. The best place for him is the Celtics.
Yeah but Boston can't offer shit but Kyrie. If i'm the Spurs.....I got Murray. I can live with Murray as my point guard if I get a deal with Kuzma and Ingram.

Idk about that for the Spurs only because the Spurs probably feel they could get something better with those picks
Plus why trade him into same conference?

I mean when it comes to trades........I don't worry about the other team. I worry about does it make my team better.

Now how these teams think? You probably are right. They may fear making the Lakers a good team. The draft and lottery process is such a crap shoot. When the Cavs traded Kyrie....we all thought okay......they getting IT, Crowder and a top 3 pick. That bitch ended up being the 8th overall pick. Not terrible....but they are gonna miss out on the top 6 players in this draft class more than likely.

IT depends what picks they throw in. I know there's some weird lottery protections with the Kings and Grizz picks.......I feel like Ingram has star potential especially in the Spurs offense.

Jaylen Brown has nice potential...but I don't think its what Ingram's ceiling is.

Brown, Rozier, Picks >> Ingram, Kuzma, Pick
It depends what picks......Spurs like Murray. It depends on what those picks are. If its Brown, Rozier and Grizz and Kings picks? I'd take that deal over the Lakers deal.

Remember what happened the last time the lakers tried the super team experiment... Gary Peyton and the mailman

You ain't doing nothing, Cube to E in NWA movie.

What else are they going to do? Worst case scenario, the Lakers are poppin again.

That young core isn't turning into a dynasty. A dynasty needs a nasty coach and/ or system. And Walton isn't it. He can share some intel, they beat GS with Walton, I believe, but going forward, nobody is going to save the Lakers outside of this plan.

George James and Leonard??? I mean how many balls they going to play with?
Thing about them though.....is that none of them have to have the ball in their hands to make a impact. Those are also 3 of the best defenders in the league. That's a smart 3 to try and build a team around. Leonard can put a 20 points without his number being called. George the same. And we already know how Lebron get down.

?

Everyone had a good year besides Peyton who stuggled with the triangle, Kobe had his rape case going on and missed some games, plus Kobe and Shaq were beefing pubically.
They still got through the gauntlet west and made the finals , then Karl Malone got hurt, had to play Slava Medvedenko's garbage ass heavy minutes, and Kobe hijacked the finals in his beef with Shaq.
Wasnt like that team was trash.

Not even CLOSE to the same situation
