'This is harassment and racial profiling!' California woman forces Border Patrol agents off a Greyhound bus using the Fourth Amendment after they demanded to see everyone's documents
  • Tiana Smalls was riding a Greyhound bus from Bakersfield to Las Vegas last week
  • As they reached Nevada border patrol, agents tried to inspect their documents
  • Smalls told passengers not to show anything because agents had no authority
  • The agents then allowed the bus to pass without confronting anybody on board

A woman has told how she confronted border patrol agents after they demanded to see her visa documentation while on a bus from California to Nevada.

Tiana Smalls said she was riding the Greyhound from Bakesfield to Las Vegas on June 5 to see family when the altercation took place.

Smalls recalled on Facebook how she challenged the agents for having no authority to check papers so far from a border, after which they backed off.

Not being able to speak Spanish, Smalls said she translated the remark using an app on her phone and tried to reassure Spanish speakers on the bus.

When the agents actually boarded, she reiterated: 'I'm not showing you sh**! I'm not driving this bus, so you have no right to ask me for anything!

'And the rest of you guys don't have to show them anything, either! This is harassment and racial profiling!

'Don't show them a gotdamn thing! We are not within 100 miles of a border so they have no legal right or jurisdiction here! Google it!'

They don't get it. If racists and bigots ever actually ever deported everyone they wanted to, we would be the ones on the receiving end of their full attention. This is why we need to support ourselves, along with Native Americans, Mexicans and other groups. WS fears black folks and other PoC uniting. We are keeping our own selves separate and diluting power instead of forming alliances.

What people of color want to unite with blacks? Why is it always blacks wanting unity with everybody? You think they think like you? I don’t see the same mutual respect coming from them. Black people only have this fantasy. Your thinking is gonna get you used and taken advantage of.

There has not been a time when black folks did not have support of some other group. During slavery we had white folks helping us escape and helping on the underground railroad. If you look at the footage from the 50's-60's both MLK and the Black panthers had diverse crowds in support. Recently with BLM, we had diverse crowd, all those groups and people from other countries too. Even to getting laws passed to get the right to vote required white folks to act. We've never done any of it ALONE.

Not bullshit, March 2017, I drove from the Southern Rim of the Grand Canyon to San Diego. When I got to the Cali border on the 2 lane highway, there was a fullstop border patrol. We were no where near Mexico. I pulled out my drivers license, the officer took a glance looked inside car my family and sent me on my way. I thought it was weird not being close to Mexico, but I thought it was the norm.
 
She's caping hard for them Mexicans, because she probably wants sexual access to the men in that community. Thats the biggest reason people cape for other groups tbh.

Now lets see a Mexican woman go that hard for Black people.

You don't see they asses at any rally's to protest discrimination against blacks. They never show up, but always want to claim part of a victory for people of color after black people fight the battle.

I disagree. We can't unite with no other race but ourself. Every race looks down on us when they come up will side with white people.

30% of Hispanics voted for Trump. If Trump wasn't fucking with immigration Hispanics would be cool with Trump fucking with us.

We got dogs sucked on us. We got bombed and everything for civil rights by yourself for the rights of everyone. I think that's enough we filled our quota for helping people.

History is important so you won’t repeat.

Irish, Italians and Jewish people were once not white. Each of those groups once had this alliance with blacks. You had people like Camille saying the same shit about them back then. But once those groups got their feet in the door, got what they wanted, got white status, etc. they turned on niggaz.

Native Americans had blacks as slaves, they too hunted down blacks, despised blacks and fought to keep blacks enslaved.

Today most native Americans booted the blacks out of their tribes.

For some reason blacks don’t learn. They don’t think history will repeat.
 
There is a need for a strategic alliance...this does not mean that Black people should forget that many Hispanics despise Black folk and actively seek to displace Black people....there is a middle ground there...this sister did a good thing but this does not mean that Black Americans should make the rights of illegal immigrants a primary political goal...what's good for the Democratic party is not necessarily good for Black people and each case must be looked at on a case by case basis

I disagree. Man we been carrying every other race on our backs. They been free loading off of us then turn around and bite the hand that feed them.

I don't see no Mexican Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Dr. King. But they all benefited from our leaders and our strugle.

Look at the prison system the Mexican Gangs team up with whites to attack the blacks. We don't need them fuckers we built for this and can stand alone.

It might not look like it but black people are winning and will eventually claim our throne again.

I still see the need for strategic alliances in certain situations but I don't disagree that Black people need to do for self...we have no choice...definitely will say that unity among ourselves is far more important than unity with others
