*Solo A Star Wars Story Spoiler Discussion*

I too thought it was decent.

Truthfully (and I came to this conclusion on my 3rd viewing of the last jedi) its nice to see the broader scope of the star wars galaxy.

We deal in the original trilogy with the classic coming of age story of Luke on the hero's journey

It's nice to see the stories of the helpers mentors to fill in the gaps.

Absolutely not.
The last Star Wars movie I really enjoyed was Rogue One. Yes, it was fill in the backstory fan service but it was exceptionally well done. :D

The Last Jedi has pretty much killed any interest I had in seeing these characters develop any further.

As for Solo, I have no interest in seeing it. Plus, they turned Lando Calrissian into a "pansexual" lothario who'll now pretty much fuck anyone or anything. (Men and androids alike).:smh:

And what's so fucked up about that is the fact that Lando Calrissian was the 1st prominent Black character in the Star Wars story. I remember as a kid just how important this was in the Black Community back in 1980. So naturally; they decided to undermine the coolest, most important Black man in the galaxy him by making him sexually ambiguous.

I just got back from seeing it. It was decent, not great but decent. Great effects, Donald Glover was definitely memorable and one of the best parts of the movie, if not the best

Is it me that the entire movie seemed unnecessary. Han Solo came off as too soft, but at least it did solve the "Han shot first" Theory

Thank God for MoviePass. I don't have to see it again (because you can't with MoviePass now) and it cost me nothing
 
If you read the books and comics you already know HE would appear in the movie just based off the crime organization's name alone. It was a good movie. It seems the movie off the the main movies are good, like this and R1.
 
Yea they pretty much turned Lando into SW's version of Captain Jack Harkness..(rumor is that Billy Dee actually signed off on this after talking with Glover)

Shouldve gotten Joss Whedon to direct this,seemed a bit similar to Firefly/Serenity IMO.. Thandie and Emila both can get the biz

The people making these movies forgot that part of the allure of
science fiction is to take the viewer on a journey to new alien
worlds. However, all the worlds in this movie looked the same,
and like earth. There was no Camino; there was no Coruscant;
there was no Kashyyk; there Geonosis. Even when George Lucas
of accused of telling weak stories, the visual aspect was never
lacking in beauty or imagination. The only thing we saw was
that Solo was a storm trooper for 3 years, and fought in war...

The theater where I saw the movie was about 10% full and I do
not see what that should improve

I think it has to do with the whole Pansexual thing. Which is disrespectful..

The Gay Movement wants almost half the new movies to feature gay shit.

Don't worry its coming soon, but thank god for china.

Alot of gay groups are trying to push the gay agenda on BlockBuster Movies like Star Wars and Marvel Franchise. Thank god for places like Russia and China Where they will totally ban a movie that has any kind of gay content.

If it wasn't for Major Markets like China, You will see alot of gay charactors and trannys in blockbuster movies..
 
I don't think pansexual means he is gay

It's like Captain Kirk, he has sex with anything. Think about the world they live in.
