Ok so there's a few things going on with this thread and with Monique

1. Because Monique isn't pretty she's attacked a lot more than would be the case. Especially here on BGOL where so many dudes in here have a hatred for Black women
2. Monique's husband is hard to work with and has been a detriment to her career for awhile. Thats a known act in the business.
3. I saw when Monique posted up the details of her contract. Netflix saying they own the content and that she can't use her material for TWO YEARS is insane. People in here forget thats how comedians make their money....by touring. Its not easy to come up with enough new material for a 1 hour show so that portion of the deal was bullshit.

Mo’Nique has been in the headlines latley for boycotting Netflix and coming for everyone from Roland Martin to Oprah.

In case you missed it, back in January, Mo wasAmy Schumer, who is White, got $11 million.

Now, it looks like there are some additional financial issues for the 50-year-old. AJC.comis reporting the Oscar winner owes the U.S. government $560K in unpaid taxes. “In 2016, she had a tax lien filed against her for the years ending 2013 and 2014 for a total of $389,904.98. Last fall, the federal government said she was late paying her taxes in 2015 as well to the tune of $170,720.74. So the Oscar-winning actress now owes the U.S. government $560,625.72.”
