Just watched BLACK PANTHER and.......

she was about to unleash @ 0:52

Weird, I think we all know and understand racism but continue to coon and buck dance to keep up our way of living. She has a history of dating cacs.... and she knows her country history.

when they try to do some type of community college film school analysis to somehow JUSTIFY their opinion.

Just say I liked or I didn't like it

when they start to try to get all deep...then they get in a whole mess of trouble.

Cause yo expose either your ignorance or biases that have NOTHING to do with the actual movie.

Which is sad bc it’s easy to simply state themes and struggles in the movie that are great without going deep into biases.

So...I’d love to see black celebs talk about their reactions along with their kids and not some simple photo ops.

don't bother to sit and think about it...

Batman 89?
Iron Man 2?

War Machine was my favorite Marvel character growing up. I have my reasons for liking these movies. I'm not real big on comparing movies against each other anyway. Maybe if its a remake, I would compare the original material.

At this point I see more division then healthy discourse

which goes AGAINST everything BP is about.

first and foremost

a movie like this is supposed to do ONE THING...

ENTERTAIN

that is it that is all.

If it didn't entertain you black white Asian etc..

that is OK.

Your NOT a racist or a sell out.

But you CANNOT get offended that you are left out or don't respond to the themes and messages in the film

you can't get defensive.

It just wasn't for YOU

La La Land was a Oscar winning so called classic film

I aint like it

these white folk loved it

And it didn't bother me and I didn't feel the need to tweet about it or PLEAD my case

I didn't like it

it was NOT for me.

And that is OK

And I don't need to MAKE people like Panther either, so don't look to ME for that.

Its OK

Cause if you REALLY feel a NEED to shout from the roof tops AGAINST the MASSES who love it?

Well then you really need a serious by yourself meeting

and address some deep rooted issues YOU have on race culture and Black people.

Cause fam it AIN'T THAT serious

you just feel left out.

maybe T'Chaka was right

you can't be bringing all these muthafukas back to Wakanda

cause they just gonna ruin it.

Fuck integrity, fuck your pedigree, fuck your feelin's, fuck your culture
Fuck your moral, fuck your family, fuck your tribe
Fuck your land, fuck your children, fuck your wives
Who am I? Not your father, not your brother
Not your reason, not your future
Not your comfort, not your reverence, not your glory
Not your heaven, not your angel, not your spirit
Not your message, not your freedom
Not your people, not your neighbor
Not your baby, not your equal
Not the title y'all want me under
All hail King Killmonger

— Kendrick Lamar “King’s Dead”

:itsawrap:

I will say tho that this doesn’t necessarily or just reflect killmonger’s attitude toward wakanda but the oppressive nations he wanted to bring down and what he has learned from them (colonizers)

interesting black panther review on Golic & Wingo on ESPN radio right now

the replacement guy and Mike Golicwere giving their reviews...

it was the most uncomfortable exchange of the new regime

they were tap dancing like muthafukas...then getting DEFENSIVE

finally giving the movie 3 out 5 "doughnuts"

and felt compelled to talk with the ONLY Black staff member (on some black friend sh*t)

who promptly called them haters.

And of course, black twitter assembled to drag them.

Honestly I really don't like this idea that EVERYONE HAS TO LIKE Black Panther

We really need to let go of that, cause much of that movie WAS NOT for THEM anyway.

(and it was NOT perfect)

I think white folk getting in trouble (and even some Black folk)

when they try to do some type of community college film school analysis to somehow JUSTIFY their opinion.

Just say I liked or I didn't like it

A lot of shit in BP went over their (white peoples)heads. They show arrogance when it's pointed out to them. Like such a thing is impossible

BOOM

I couldn't find the words thanks fam

But what is even sadder is that some Black people are also getting defensive

instead of being happy knowledge is shared

they take it as some type of indictment on their own blackness

In a defining moment for diversity and Hollywood, Disney's and Marvel Studios' Black Panther debuted to a record-shattering $242 million at the Presidents' Day box office, according to updated estimates.

The bold superhero film passed up Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($241.6 million) to earn more in its first four days than any movie in history at the North American box office, save for Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($288.1 million), not adjusted for inflation. Black Panther also scored the biggest Monday in history with $40.2 million, besting Force Awakens' $40.1 million.

They taught him how to do it.
He wanted to use the tools they gave him against them.
The calculation. He infiltrated America like he Infiltrated Klaw's crew.

Ironically I loved the first 2 Thor's and fell asleep during the 3rd. I accept my opinions may be unpopular, but I also go with my gut and I form my own opinions rather than going with the mainstream thought process.

you're just different. it's all good.
the 1st 2 thor's were decent at best. 1st was trash cause they tried to make him fabio.
2nd one was a little better but couldn't let go of that fabio shit
3rd one we finally fucking saw thor.

Medicinal snow? :roflmao3: bro you got me dying laughing over here

Medicinal snow. Cold actually retards the dying process. Ric Flair's life was just saved from a medically-induced coma. It works the same way, just naturally.

Think of it as semi-cryofreeze. You take the molecules and you slow them down to the point where they're barely moving

Medicinal snow:roflmao: you own the internet for the night bro. You own the motherfuking internet I'm still laughing my ass off
your explanation derives from what you AND I already know from real world situations.

the movie is not the real world, and i'm a comic book writer.

if it was JUST about keeping him cold, they couldve controlled his temperature in any cold place, rather than keeping him in a warm place then putting him on ice. M'Baku said its the only thing keeping him alive, if you take him out of the snow, he will die in moments.

he did not say if we dont keep him cold he will die.

it wasnt the temperature that was keeping him alive. they had cold temperatures all around them.

it was the snow. it didnt melt, and BP wasnt wet.

None of those places took measures to SUPRESS the slave trade but i was just talking about the Dora Milajae being specific to Dahomey and being the slave trading empire that it was. There can be debates about other places but Dahomey by no means. They were slave traders.

You're probably one of da few that's willing to talk about what many consider to be taboo when it regards Afrikan history and I dig that shit.

wow, you really think that? I thought it was just from what you said-- the part about we KNOW in the real world about what cold can do. Of course in the REAL world, snow wouldn't be enough, but it was enough for us to suspend disbelief.

But yeah, I would have liked it if it showed THEIR intelligence in being able to preserve him. Are they not in Wakanda as well? I dunno, I'm asking

Didn't know you were a comic book writer. That's actually cool as shit.
