Just watched BLACK PANTHER and.......

Killmonger was clearly a villian
Coogler did it brillantly when he killed his girl with that headshot.

So no debate necessary

But just because he was villian doesn't mean his motivation wasn't justified.

He was complex amd layered he was so focused that he had to die. Those two can't exist in the same place.

And it wasnt t'chaka who made him

It was the colonists.

Just got back and was moving. Saw it with my son and 2 of his little mans. They were all on the edge of their seats. Love that it can create new dialog about our conditions and where we need to be moving.

Also the challenge scenes were great to see with my son, because couple hours before we lost our last and only game of the season. We had long talk after about just putting it all on the line.

Dope movie. After one watch it was very dense and kinda how I felt about first listen of 4:44 it was lot to unpack. unquestionably my favorite superhero movie.

Killmonger is US.

from his history his legacy being robbed

Him not being born here or immigrating here

Him being stolen enslaved and brought here in chains

Seeing his father treated not as the royalty he IS, but as less than a man

Living in the projects

Seeing his people SUFFER...

All the while KNOWING there is a better place

unquestionably my favorite superhero movie.

granted this list is a bit outdated but black panther easily takes the #2 spot...I need to rewatch watchmen to decide if it still ranks #1

Watchmen
Batman Begins
Iron Man
Dark Knight
Kick Ass

All in order...

list might look more like this now...

Watchmen
Black Panther
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Batman Begins
Iron Man

There was scene that really disturbed my little girl she clothed her eyes bring her face in my chest...

She couldn't watch the challenge between BP and killmonger

Later on she said she hated seeing two black men fight each other like that

That isn't what Wakanda is about.

She FELT killmonger hate

And she was frustrated that black person could HATE another like that.

"Black Panther is not a movie about race, it is a movie about ideas and ideals, about our shared humanity. Our hero is not in favor of protecting ethno-nationalism, but rather a healthy form of nationalism.

If T’Challa is Trump, Killmonger is Black Lives Matter.

Did I just write that?

Yes. I. Did."

...
"for decades, a big complaint of mine has been Hollywood’s marginalization of black actors. I cannot tell you how many times, in some supporting role, I have seen a charismatic black actor or actress — one who would blow off the screen these metrosexual pretty boys and shapeless forever-girls we’re being force fed — and said to my wife, “Why in the hell is this person not in every movie ever made?

thats trolling at its finest ... he's actually encouraging cucks to see the movie!:

"Multiculturalism is a cancer. Diversity is code for “hire more leftists!” I hate all that stuff. What I love are movies and movie stars — masculine men, womanly women — and Black Panther is buried in movie stars — real movie stars. The women are sexy, the men are men, the talent and charisma overwhelming."

its a great opinion piece / review... that is a talented writer much better than the regular Breitbart hack....
Because sarcasm doesn't always translate well via text, are you saying that the review had a few bright spots but was a reach overall?

Ummmm...

W'Kabi a buster.

He went against his brother
his country
and his woman over a blood debt.

And that got you what?

Tribes who were at peace warring like savages in a black paradise.

You trusted an outsider who EMPOWERED the white man you hated in the first place.

Selfish myopic buster.

If nothing else he made them THINK about us.
Every time I speak to someone about Killmonger I remind them that he was actually trying to save US lol
we ain't wakanda natives.

Man, I felt like that shit went over everybody head except mine on a deeper level when he said it. Then me being privy of Forrest Whitaker's dealings IRL. Shiddddddddddd. Them Igbo folks won't finna play no games with o'fays.

I keep thinking there was something about this movie that I felt was missing. I wanted more. More Wakanda, more BP out doing shit.

It wasn't missing...

All that is deliberate

They world building now.

Marvel proven successful formula

It is coming...

BP and crew gonna be on some black James bond next up.

He literally came took over and was ready to move out in a day or two.
He had his fucking spies ready for WAR ALREADY
this shit wasn't by accident

He aligned with a man who's parent was also murdered.
Who is Wakandan.
While everyone else didn't seem to care that his parents were dead. They didn't hunt Klaw to the ends of the earth. They kinda went after him kind of sometimes.
When T'Challa came back he treated it like... damn man yea I forgot to get your fries. That's how he treated it after he gave him his word he would kill him or bring him back
AND THEN
here comes a son of Wakanda bringing him to you???
He got revenge for the person who murdered your parents brought it right to you
what would you do?

Support my brother.

Period.

T'Challa was king for damn day

Klaw been wrecking havoc for over 30 years.

He fails specifically because of killmonger master plan.

Ok he doesn't KNOW that but still he is an OUTSIDER...

He Wakanda by blood but has no loyalty to the country or crown no matter his reasons

Baki was loyal.

He went against his brother over th corpse of a dead colonist who killed your parents.

T'Challa father was murdered by colonists too

Baki is a LEADER of men

Allowed himself to be manipulated

Worse he went against his woman for a prodigal son.

I UNDERSTAND

and it brilliant writing story telling and acting.

But he was a buster

And knelt with the humility and wisdom he lacked intially

that goes back to the original sin...
T'Chakka abandoned his own blood to poverty and orphaned in an attempt to keep secret that his brother, a member of the royal family, committed treason.

He should have killed Eric or adopted him...

The second sin- they prioritised remaining isolated over taking responsibility for Klaw and making his capture a priority
Countless people were killed by Klaw and his allies for decades because they refused to act
