BGOL BLACK PANTHER Movie Thread [Denzel Washington to star in Black Panther 3]

ok.... so when is this shit gonna be posted so we can download the shit???? I did my prt! I paid the full price of admission, $10! how much longer we gotta wait for the shit to be posted in the movie section??? We "ALL" pay to be members here & part of that payment covers the access to the hottest & newest content! Yo cant be stallin mufukkaz out in an attempt to force ppl to go pay to see the shit!

I ONLY paid to see it so I wouldnt be left out of ALL the convos which will be had after tonight about the flick! I went to a predominantly white theater.....It felt good sitting there & cacs having to listen to the messages being told to them....... so that alone was worth the $10.
Aww, the CACs were mad. Coming out of the theater one of the workers ask a white guy in front of me how we like the movie and he said, "I didn't"

I told the worker, "the movie was boss." And we shared a 'you know why he said that' look.

...Black Panther is beautiful enjoyable film.

Reminds me of Captain America:First Avenger or 1st Thor film (origin films) that lay groundwork for the character

Mixed audience during my viewing.... 2 after credit scenes

First Stretched Out Thoughts:
  • A lot of deep themes about the African diaspora explored
  • Too Short music playing in Oakland 1992
  • General Okoye stole the film
  • Michael B Jordan’s Kilmonger had righteous rage
  • I’m joining the Jabari mountain tribe (CACs not allowed to speak)
  • “Ancestors knew Death was better than being captive”
  • African culture looking regal and traditional other than inferior
  • Shuri has Tony Stark like ingenuity and tech.
  • Weaponized rhinos
  • Lots of subtle humor for black audiences
  • Angela Bassett doesn’t age
  • Oakland home of Black panther party in opening scene
  • Power of the drum featured... polyrhythms everywhere
  • Vibranium methaphor for all stolen resources by colonist
  • Stan Lee gets his chips

SINCe this is the discussion thread...

My review is short. I went in with an open mind and I prepared to overlook that it’s a black made superhero film. I looked at the film for what it was.

Was the movie perfect? Shockingly... it almost was. There was a slight drag in the middle but it wasn’t noticeable. This is probably one of the best written marvel movies.

That was probably my only complaint....
This Shit was outstanding... I mean absolutely outstanding. I’m not one to say that a superhero flick deserves an oscar for best picture but this one is fucking close. Actually a lot closer then Wonder Woman and I love for Wonder Woman.

But as Wonder Woman was basically a retread of the FIrst avenger. This movie was completely new. Everything about it was new. Hell its the first earth based marvel movie to not have a single scene in America.

Also My man Chadwick needs to be put in his own action movies. I think he has that Type of presense about him.

Finale.... You can make a legitimate argument that this was the greatest female lead superhero movie ever created. I mean a legitimate argument.

Movie is an easy 10....

This is my top Marvel flick. I thought The Winter Soldier was unbeatable but this movie did it.

I’m going to see it again... when the number of US dies down in the crowd. There were moments were the talking was out of fucking hand. I love us. I swear to gawd I do.. but gawd damn why must we always talk in black movies.

Man I'm almost ashamed to say this movie almost made me cry when it was over.
Still kinda misty eyed. Its not a perfect movie but if your black it will feel like that way to you.
Won't post any thing about the story not to spoil it for everyone but bring your kids, family and neighbors. Shorty I went with loved it and it will be liked by all sections of people. There were some moments where the white people in my theater were nervous and you could tell. LOL. I will say this Disney gets props for putting this movie out and putting up the money to do it justice. This movie has the potential to change the mindset of black people its that powerful. Love the tie in to african-americans and blacks all over the world.
WAKANDA FOREVER!!!!!!!!

Exit scores are the best indicators of how a movie will perform in the long run. Word of mouth is going to be huge! Black Panther could be a beast domestically. $300M+ seems like a given at this point, but I think there's a chance it could beat Wonder Woman's $411M domestic total.

Stretch man I would listen to your stretched out observations of chewing gum

You've got to create a site for your Game of Thrones stretched out observations. That shit would blow the fuck up

The imagery was fantastic the storyline was divisive.
I was talking to my boy and said that if MLK and the entire NOI, not just Malcolm X, had taken the best of each others beliefs we could have taken over the world.

All attack doesn't work any more than all passive. They needed pieces of each other to work

i bought 10 tickets....they had assigned seating at my theater...i bought every ticket around my seat....

i was tryna make this the number one movie in the world ..this weekend...by myself...

i dug it...koogler did his thing...

shuri was funny...at first i thought she was gonna be annoyin'....but she grew on me...

great storyline...i could see both sides....T'challa made good points...and Kilmonger made a great argument..as to why he wanted to sit on the throne and do what he wanted to do...

shoutout to michael b. jordan..for gettin' in shape to play the villain...i love when actors....sacrifice to transform their bodies...and if you gonna play a super hero or villain...you should look like one..

lupita's skin..and those thighs....damn...she was lookin' right....

hope we get more movies like this...action..sci-fiction...fantasy....those are mainly the kinda movies i dig....and the person who makes them...is gonna get very rich....

This movie really has me thinking...

Why haven't many of US left America to go live in Africa?

Like why do many of us stay here?
The movie depicts only a fictional good version of Africa. Alot of Africans still live in poor surroundings. Some also live in good surroundings. Also since Africa is split up in different countries and each country has it's own president you never know how strict one can be over the other. It's not as sweet as you may think. I know cause I have family who live in Ghana and I have been to other parts of Africa as well.

Man SHUT YO DUMB ASS UP!

Overall like I said before I enjoyed Black Panther, but me personally I liked The Avengers better. I hope to see more Marvel films in the future though cause I'm a fan.

Watched it. Dope movie. However, still on that Kumbaya tip aka we can get along with white folks and its all good BS. The Martin Freeman character was not necessary. 9/10.

Not true. Character was completely necessary to THE PLOT. Anybody that has seen Winter Soldier will know why. I can't say here - spoilers.

U know the deal. No way it coulda been any other way given the gatekeepers.

See above post.
Am I wrong for wanting a threesome with Lupita and Danai?

No. Both of them looked good as hell but DAMN... LUPITA put on some weight and muscle for this role, she was sexy as hell.

Man , Lupita was banging ....

See above post!

Winter Solider

WAIT...

dope movie. alot of layers to peel back. i understood michael b jordan's character stance on world affairs and the person who passed it down to him. he was angered by blood of what happened. t'challa, left to clean up your parents' mess. it was different flicks roll into one.

WHAT...

The only thing I wish they would have did is at the end when the lil boy asked him who are you. He should have said I’m your brother. That would have took that movie to the next level.

THE...

Anybody caught the white wolf reference

FUCK?!!

DON'T Y'ALL HAVE NO FUCKING RESPECT FOR SPOILER FREE???

I know its hard to hold back fam but damn yall can use the spoiler tags. They right there. Look at @fonzerrillii - he wrote way more than y'all, gave a quick review and everything without any specifics.

CO-SIGN EVERYTHING EXCEPT...

My theatre was full of all ages of folks and for some reason, it was pin drop silent. From beginning to the end. White girl next to me was crying her heart out on certain scenes but she kept it down. I ain't never seen a theatre so quiet for such a hyped as film. Standing ovation at the end credits.

You must not have seen the same movie I did.
