#MeToo movement has a major problem

They were probably only choosing to mentor women they wanted to gain the trust of and get close enough to fuck anyway. How many of you choose to mentor someone simply for the purpose of grooming a company asset or seeing someone personally excel? For black men I'd buy them grooming a sista to get more representation of black folks in an office or industry, but men in general? Nah.

I cant speak fir all men in general.

But you make a fair point.

I can't see myself mentoring a white woman

Amd I accept u may be wrong for that

And I have went out if my way to mentor black people.

Almost 100% positive.

But full disclosure...

Many times my interactions with women in that situation had sexual overtones.

Not EVERY time but yeah.

And most of the time the women started it and the age of the woman was at times older than me.

Again I speak for all men, but it wasn't a predetor thing...it's an office thing.

And I think there is lies the problem.

We are refusing to be HONEST about what happens everyday in the office.

It's a different world and environment.

It's just the truth

Not anymore obviously or rather not going forward but we need to be honest here

Women need to stop this ms. Perfect stuff and all men are dogs stuff.

Cause now money careers families reputation are getting involved

This is gonna get ugly.

White men say the same shit about black people after racial discrimination lawsuits
Get the fuck out of here. Fuck these ho bitches. When blacks are discriminated against, we don’t wait 20 years to complain. We don’t conveniently have dozens of stories the minute a so called movement starts.

I’d say at least 70% of these claims are false. It’s simp niggas who give credibility to these vile vixens who helped create this mess.

Don't see the deal. Protect what you've worked for. If u wanna mentor hit the local big brothers big sisters. Work with those who need it the most not someone who is your competition.

This is wonderful! All of these bum bitches will learn. You’ll see a major decline in women hirings and that’ll be fine by me. Women make terrible employees anyway.

Dumb bitches ALL want to be seen as “sexy” all the time, regardless of the venue. Bitches go out of their way to highlight every part of their body that will attract men, then if a nigga says good morning, they write him up on a harassment charge.

Women show clevage, wear outfits that compliment their asses, accent their lips with lipstick, draw attention to their eyes via eye makeup and fake eye lashes... they do all of this shit while at work, then talk about they want to be judged based off of their intelligence... lmao...

Women use all of these antics solely for their advantage... they will get promotions, easier assignments, special favors from male bosses who find them attractive. Women are so full of shit

Who hurt you?!? Seriously...

not the same. accusations are assumed to be true for women.
not hiring based on racial discrimination lawsuits is just an excuse.

anyone doing what you suggest is just a bigot, who dont want to hire black people.
potentially having to deal with sexual accusations is a real liability in this climate.

i would love to actually see more women in the automotive mechanic field but then at the same time alot of dudes are not
going to be feeling that shit....so intill then i can keep hitting on my females custo's....:yes:

Same thing as the first post. men (especially the one who can't get pussy any other way), use their positions of power in the workplace to abuse women. this isn't even really a debate. "accusations are assumed to be true"? Not they aren't. We have a president that was accused by 20 women (one being his ex-wife) and that shit didn't matter.

this whole #metoo thing is mainly white men getting exposed for abusing their power. why would I be upset over that? burn all them muthafuckas.

Seriously, how did women think this was going to play out?

A man's LIVELIHOOD can be shattered by a mere accusation of an employee without any protocol or due process- just a mere 'anonymous' tweet and/or blog post and the court of public opinion witch hunt mode will do the rest.

You think any man with ANY fucking sense would make himself MORE vulnerable.
f1_gp_race_transfers.jpg

NO. If women in mass are ALLOWING this witch hunt to continue....men are just not going to associate with women professionally. Hell Formula-1 has already "You know what, fuck the dumb shit, get ALL them pretty do-nothing broads off the race track. We don't want to be caught up in the dumbshit." This keep up, you can kiss the Laker girls and Cowgirls goodbye because no one is risking MILLIONS over something they can easily discontinue with a statement that "We are upgrading our image with the current society trends. Get rid of all these pretty bitches cause we don't want to get sued."

I called this shit at jump street. Ultimately, the #metoo movements unchecked was going to hurt WOMEN- professional women were going to find a harder time getting mentored and 'Do Nothing'- chicks are going to find it harder to land those cushy 'Just be pretty' corporate gigs...

When the pendulum swings back the other direction it's always a motherfucker.

Yep, I honestly treat my female students differently now that this movement have took place.

I like paying compliments because I consider myself a gentleman, but now I'm hesitant.

I've always treated women I've hired, etc differently. I don't have any non-business related contact with them. Like I rarely even get off of non-project related topics with them. No compliments...we ain't at the club

I hired a front desk temp at my job for Thursday and Friday. It was a young black girl who was inexperienced in the workforce. Some guy showed up one minute before an interview with me and I told her afterwards that she should arrive to an interview 10 minutes before the start.

I later told my wife that I could mentor the temp with small tips in order for her to succeed, but I was hesitant because of metoo. My wife told me to be careful. I could not help this young lady because of the current atmosphere. :smh:

Yeah, trying to navigate all this can be cumbersome at times.

I treat my female students and co-workers differently. But I'm really no threat to these folks and they open up to me in ways I never asked for.

I guess it just depends on people's personality. I'm naturally off-putting and closed unless we're really close. So this type of shit will never be a problem for me.

However, I can understand if you're a charismatic person that just really likes people and a woman takes something the wrong way.

I have one co-worker (black man and my homie) that stay saying borderline inappropriate stuff to females.

I honestly, don't know how he has lasted this long. :smh:

The reason you don't may have more to do with the equality of OUTCOME more than the equality of OPPORTUNITY. Women in aggregate don't pursue STEM field, automotive, or construction. Not that they CAN'T or not ENCOURAGED or don't have the APPTITUDE....they just don't.

Damn, are you the defender of everything woman? I hate beta niggas who assume a man was hurt by a woman JUST because he’s speaking out against them. You sound exactly like an illogical idiot broad. Don’t quote me anymore bitch. I don’t deal with your kind.

It's a bit nuanced and the reason why women leave often has a lot to do with dealing with discrimination:

I had to implement this practice. Sometimes they actively encourage flirtation. Then when they mad at you you're suddenly harassing them.

The real problem with the #metoo movement has nothing to do with false sexual harassment issues. The real problem is that the focus is on protecting white women and not addressing the real problem: white men abusing their positions of power. When you look at the real problem, you have to look at all the victims...which aren't just women and they definitely aren't all white.

Well duh.

Lol now she's demanding that men mentor women to get into compettion- and any time men actually COMPETE with them they can complain about it lol

MGTOW and the men's rights movement spoke on this months ago. It's to the point where companies are considering outsourcing to other countries so they don't have to worry about the #metoo movement.

Actually, I'm a woman...so, thanks for the compliment of sounding like an "illogical idiot broad."

Not a defender of everything woman, but definitely noticed a pattern of detrimental thinking towards women in your posting history.

But, alas, I guess we're all just good for pornography and fucking...I didn't get the memo before. Thanks!

We can agree to disagree... But as a person with 15 years in construction and two STEM degrees (Construction Science and Mech Engineering) I can tell you that -from my experience- a sizeable reason women aren't heavily represented in STEM is that...

They CHOOSE differently.:dunno:

I've been to and been part of internship fairs where they literally TACKLING chicks to give them well paid summer internships if they were even KINDA interested in STEM...I currently doing a remodel at an all girl school that has FULL RIDES to colleges through programs with Exxon and Shell for young women interested in STEM.

I was just talking to a head hunter looking for new opportunities for me and he was like 'Shit if you were a woman I'd have a job for you yesterday paying 50% more than you could ask for.'

On every rung of the STEM ladder I'm seeing the same thing...

AGENCY. On the part of the WOMEN.

"I don't want to do that...I WANT TO DO SOMETHING ELSE."

You as a scientist- especially as a teacher- knows that equality of opportunity doesn't mean equality of outcome. AGENCY is a powerful independent variable.

I'll leave you with the video above.

Agreed. I’ve performed ethnicity and gender disparity audits and shared the information with upper management for years and I’ve never seen white, male managers take women under their wing if it wasn’t company-coerced or they weren’t doing it to get their sexual needs met.

There is this guy that sits next to me almost ever day he's a black guy, but he looks Hispanic or something. Light skin, curly hair, slim build. Just this week one of the managers was saying something inappropriate to him, in front of me and other co-workers. This other guy lost his position behind harassing him and some other men. Even afterward he was contacting him, making overtures. He claims he is straight with a fiance, (I sometimes get a fem vibe from him) regardless, the manager was out of line. He was rubbing on his back and everything. He tries not to be confrontational, but the number of gay guys flirting with him is ridiculous.

Basically. My impression is that they aren't refusing to mentor because of FEAR of #metoo insomuch as there is no longer any fringe benefits attached to it.

It's funny you used the term "company coerced". Before I started to give an example of when white men mentor, and when it is a situation where one is not sexually interested, it usually consists of someone in power delegating that task to someone else and telling them they need to train someone and show them the ropes. I wasn't trying to get that deep into this discussion though. I only commented because the anti-woman BGOL logic vaccum was starting to take hold and it only grows when they don't get another perspective inserted to pierce the fog.
