Mo’Nique Accuses Sheryl Underwood Of Throwing Her Under The Bus

One question that I got is.... how da fuck can you throw her.....let alone throw he under a bus......they putting "monster tuck" lift kits on buses now ???!!!!:dunno:

.

Not ever until now have I ever seen someone willfully and with determination blackball themselves and not even know it.

Shit is painful to watch.

Potential completely wasted.
Fucked up really man... Even Wanda Sykes message to her. She said 'Netflix lowballed me, so I found a new home in EPIX' . If Monique had the pull she thinks she should have, she would have did just like Wanda, said fuck you to Netflix, and found a home somewhere else. You NEVER know when you will need to cross a bridge again, but with her, Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels, Oprah, Netflix, she gets tender when she doesn't get her way and takes shit public, not realizing that ALL OF THESE PEOPLE are more relevant right now than she is, the public is looking for them more than her, and she's only fucking up her career.

I honestly believe its over for her, and hopefully she doesn't, but she may end up having a mental breakdown over this if she isn't in the middle of one already... Her biggest mistake was having her hyper-sensitive husband as her manager. Its hard to manage professionally, when you are so emotionally attached, and him crying on that one interview proves she's not built to effectively manage and rebuild her career... :smh:

She took only half of what Wanda said to heart, the part about her being offered half of what Monique was offered. She didn't see that Wanda was ultimately trying to communicate a way out for her. Cheryl Underwood gave her excellent advice in telling her to attempt to make amends with Tyler Perry, Oprah and Lee Daniels. Mo'Nique publicly treated her Cheryl like an enemy. So, she puts her personal business on front street and Cheryl and no one else is supposed to comment?

Her closed ears, lack of refinement and lack of soft skills will be her downfall. I have a relative whose personality is similar. She appears open-hearted and loving when you agree with her and things are going her way. Disagree with her and she turns evil with an unrestrained tongue, leaving dissension in her wake. Self-centered, entitled and spoiled. As much as possible, I stay the fuck out of her way.

Thats been my whole point of contention with Monique Bro. Never caped for Netflix, just her approach. At the end of the day, she played her hand wrong, and now, NO company worth shit will want to deal with her. You NEVER negotiate in public, and ultimately, if she is trying to get back out there, how is alienating Netflix going to help her.

A lot of emotional responses here, and she fucked up keeping her career in family man. Someone not so emotionally vested would have handled this differently IMO...

Also, as far as Sheryl Underwood, Monique fucked herself with friendships and everything else. Some shit isn't meant to be on the mic, and if her and Sheryl had a conversation as friends on the humble, she broke the code by making it public, using that conversation to try to better HER profile, not caring how it impacted Sheryl, then to go and say, we need to talk?!?! Fuck that, you are on your own... Can't be trusted anymore... :smh:

I get you. Anyway, in the end, arguing over whether Netflix is racist or not toward Mo'Nique isn't the main issue.

The cards were dealt. The bigger issue is what is she going to DO with them?

She needs two things desperately that she will refuse to get: An experienced Hollywood manager and a cup of shut-the-fuck-up.

Which females are your favorite at doing standup? I have an open mind. Post their specials and I'll give feedback.

comedy is subjective so that is pointless.

but to say that there are NO funny female comics is ridiculous.

haddish herself if hilarious as fuck. she paid her dues. she is not new to this. she just got put on with Girl's Trip.

I'm talking about comediennes doing stand up comedy. Females are MUCH better at comedic acting than stand up. Two completely different disciplines.

Take your example. Haddish as a comedic actress? Pretty good so far. Doing stand up? Ehh, nah. I'll give her an honorable mention for her conversational story telling, but somehow when she tells the same story in a stand up act, it falls flat. And I've been watching her standup since around 2009.

So if you know of any funny stand comedy performed by a female, give a suggestion and I'll check it out.

Mo aint done we're talking about comedy if you make people laugh they will come the most important thing is does she have any new material Netflix may have exposed the fact that she dont and was counting on Netflix to pay her to do her same "skinny bitch vs fat bitch" comedy now forcing her to actually come up with new material. What Mo failed to say about those other comedians were they were out working snaller venues working on new shit before they got the big deal from Netflix I wont lodge any personal attacks but her low offer was due in part imo to fan base I havent heard anyone clamoring for a Mo comedy special truth be told i didnt know she was still doing comedy hell Netflix was throwing her a bone and instead of taking the special and capitalizing off of the opportunity to reach a whole new viewership and potentially increasing her fan base she spit on it, unfortunately Mo wasnt the first and wont be the last to let their ego get in the way of an opportunity.

her stand up is hilarious to me.

as i said its all subjective.

some of you guys sound like cacs talking about colin kaepernick..."there's a respectful way to protest". There is no respectful way to protest or expose an injustice because the people CAUSING the issue never think or care that what they're doing is wrong..so the fact that youre saying ANYTHING PERIOD is taken as an offense period.

What monique is doing is illuminating an issue that actually goes deeper than just a netflix payday... she's exposing how theres little to no solidarity among POC in the industry as well as gender AND race wage disparity.

First she thanked oprah and tyler perry in her award speech..so what she apologising to them for??

Second shes in what I call the "Moses position".. If there is a promised land for female POC in pay disparity, chances are she may not make it there with them but she may be a spark that led to that change.

Third in order to effect change in anything you have to expose what the issue is..backdoor meetings doesn't do anything but give leverage to the side causing the issue in the first place.

as i said its all subjective.
So if you know this, what's the problem? You just wanted to disagree with what I said? Why don't you qualify your argument by posting some stand up comedy featuring females? We don't have to agree, but if we're gonna have a discussion, go all the way, bro.

I really wish somebody would have gotten through to Mo before she got to this point and hope she doesn't get blackballed. Seems like what she failed to realize that all the comedians she named are hotter and popular than her right now. I can't remember nothing she's done comedy wise in the last 10 years. Second ....just cause you done fucked up your money, don't try to fuck up everybody elses then she trying to fuck up a friend. That's a great way to cut somebody off right there. Right or wrong you don't voice your friends' convos then do it publicly. Hell nah. She needs to slow her bridge burning and take a long look in the mirror

Your first sentence says it all.

Comedy is subjective, what he thinks is funny you may not think is funny.

I keep hearing how Kevin Hart isn't funny. Meanwhile tens of thousands go to his soldout shows and he makes millions a year. :dunno:

Female comedians are not funny. Sorry. I don't know what it is, but they just don't do anything for me. It's unfortunate, but it's true.
I tend to agree, though there are a handful that I do find funny, or somewhat funny.

I was coming in here to say the exact same thing... ninjas trying to turn this bitch into a male lipstick alley/the coli with all this gossip.
Sheeit. That's what 90% of non-porn topics on BGOL are...Gossip.

Kinda like how they once made dolls for boys called "GI Joe" but called them "action figures". They're still dolls. And what we do here?

Gossip by another name.

Mo is in full panic mode. To her that 500,000 offer was a sign her career is over.

Nah Netflix offered 3 mill out the gate and asked her to do a set presentation.. She declined so they offered her a flat rate 500k

Netflix use algorithms and sales to determine how much viewers you will bring into the network for the special..

She compared himself to Chapple, Rock and Cac Shumer but those three have sold out arenas that’s why Network offered them over 2o mill...

Monique doing local clubs and shit.. broad is her own worst enemy

It was reported (whether true or false) that they offered her up to 3 million dollars and not 3 million dollars. The thing is Netflix does not share their numbers, so she, nor anyone else would the know what those numbers are.

you really think I don't know that? why y'all keep saying this dumb shit? you're smarter than that bruh, come on.

I tend to agree, though there are a handful that I do find funny, or somewhat funny.

doing standup? post your top two stand up performances by a female.

you really think I don't know that? why y'all keep saying this dumb shit? you're smarter than that bruh, come on.

The only “Dumb Shit” is being said by you.

The reason we know Tiffany is because of her standup. Her standup attracted those to her talent and she was casted in a popular movie. You said it yourself that you’ve been watching her since 2009. That means she’s been working in the comedy field doing standup for a long time. If she wasn’t funny, she wouldn’t have a career in comedy.

If female comedians weren’t funny, then only their family members would be at their shows and they wouldn’t have the thousands and millions of fans that they have.

In closing, “You’re Should Be Smarter Than This”. No matter what two female comedians you’re showed, you probably won’t think they’re funny either.

Side note, I don’t really find female comedians funny either. I’ve seen a few that had a joke or two that I chuckled at but I can’t say they aren’t funny. Because they have a crowdthat comes out to see them.

They’re just not funny to me, because comedy’s “Subjective”.

nigga, you typed all that shit just to agree with me. No shit comedy is subjective, quote me where I said it wasn't. You quoted me just to say some obvious shit like "comedy is subjective". yeah, no shit. I gave my opinion on the subject, and you agreed. What are we going around in circles about? How are we gonna argue about something that we dead ass agree on? You're smarter than that. I still believe in you.

Do you know of a stand up act by a female that you found funny? I've been asking and no one has posted anything yet.
