i'm somewhat glad it happened. not because of loss of life but because they needed this kick in the ass..... that and the white woman getting manhandled by the cop last month.
I give about as much of a fuck about them as most of them give about us.... haven't really thought much about this at all today actually, and will sleep pretty good tonight too. White on White Crime doesn't get a second thought from me at all.... Just like they don't think twice about our sorrow...
Knowing nothing about the 58 innocent lives that were taken, it would be in poor taste to make light of this tragedy.

I care why individuals who were out having a good time were gunned down. Its no different than a 5 yr old kid in B more, Camden, Detroit, Philly being murdered via drive by . Same feelings no different color be damned. It could have been anyone here. Looking back i was just at the Josh Tree Tour aka U2 tour and had a great time.
There are quite a few exit ramps between not giving a fuck and not being overly sad. Had it been Chicago all of the coded language would've come out. I haven't heard/read much about this man being a thug, or an animal. Shit I saw some motherfucker on Facebook talking about how the first responders weren't taking a knee, they were out helping out with the situation, he couldnt wait to politicize things. Motherfuckers like that wont get much if any sympathy from me.

If brehs in the Chi talked with officers about the murders if they were a victim i think that may help. I know living in rougher areas talking with officers is a no no but things have to start somewhere. Better community relations etc.

Everyday I'm too worried about shit like police gunning me down in front of my children while I'm traveling with them. Just last week, that same area hosted the I Heart Music Festival full of a more diverse crowd of people and many black musicians and artists. Something tells me the shooter picked this weekend specifically for one reason or another, but, had it been last weekend, more people of color's lives would have been lost and this thread (probably) wouldn't have been created. I care because I know several people who were in the same area last weekend, and it could have been them. Shucks, it still could have been people (potentially) I know...I care when a maniac goes off, because it brings to light conversations that many people (mostly white) aren't comfortable talking about. Unfortunately it takes a loss of a life that THEY know and care about...but, that makes them no different than me, then, does it?

I woke up this morning and heard the news about this tragedy I cried a lil it didnt matter to me what race the victims or the perpertrator but the fact that 59 human beings regardless of their political affiliation or their belief system whether they were racist cacs or whatever but innocent peoples lives were selfishly wiped out for reasons so far unbeknown to us, I understand the shit we have to deal with in this racist ass fucking country I understand some of the sentiments expressed in this thread to an extent but I hope some of you guys are being facetious in some of your comments I refuse to believe my brothers dont have a heart or the humanity to show a lil remorse for what happened to 600+ innocent peoples last night I wont believe it. RIP to the innocent lives that were taking and I hope we find it in our hearts to say a lil prayer for the families that suffered losses.
