What I got from that video.....
The Sista and the Darker Brotha got a like or lust for White folks. And it showed because they were tryna use isolated situations and bs like the civil Rights act to justify how good White folks have been to us.
The Brotha with the glasses seems to have more balance in his opinion. But unfortunately he wasn't allowed to talk much because the other two Captain save em's were talking so much.
Roland was just reciting the same shit u read on BGOL, when niggas be acting like they care about this and that, but they're more angry about the money that was hustled. Roland was wrong for allowing Umar to be called a liar , twice, but then get angry when the Sista got called a name back.
In closing.....Umar made the most sense out of the entire panel. And looks no worse than he looked before. But that's just my opinion.

As someone who doesn't follow him much, if this was my first view of him, I'd have a favorable one. He cleaned up the accusations to my personal satisfaction and didn't seem to be but so phased by the talk.

i disagree with Mr. Johnson on the fact that a black man who marries a white woman wants to psychological equal to the white man. Many of the bruthas who are married to white women most of the women are plain, very overweight, and just unattractive. But I've seen white men with the most attractive black women. Does he respect black women with white men?
Prior to loosing TV One due to changing cable systems, I watched Roland daily. My girl and I always enjoyed home girl from the show because she was often on-point on a lot of things. However, I was kind of curious about why she was so stuck on the white thing. As far I can tell, she has never really talked about her personal life on the show, so I don't know if she dates or is married to someone who is not black.

I guess I understood where Roland was going from. Everyone he named (that were married to white woman) are considered Civil Rights Icons. Don't know the reasons they married white, but a lot of them did it at a time when they could be killed just for looking at white woman, so their was no disillusions about their skin color and how much freedom they did or didn't have. They were knee deep in the struggle for civil rights. They were there for the protests, the arrests, the dog attacks, etc. so to to totally dismiss everything they did because of that one thing seemed a bit much, while at the same time giving his ancestor a pass for doing the same thing.
He didn't give Fredrick Douglass a pass. At all. He said, that he needed to be criticized for that. The issue is that you fight hard for the black man and woman but you marry a white woman. That don't seem off to you? I get where he is coming from. That is not a good look. Doesn't discredit their work, but it does not omit the fact that they married white women. I get where he is coming from with that argument.

He is inventing problems in the community that do not exist. There is no statistic, no data, even anecdotally, that suggests that one of problems in our community is brothers marrying white women.
We have to handle our business relationshipwise and parentingwise. Too few marriages, too many divorces, too many single parent homes. THOSE are the issues.
None of this shit has anything to do with a small minority of brothers marrying chicks of other races.
