NBA offseason 2016-2017...NBA offseason best in sports....This offseason is lit to the 3rd degree!!

It takes time to untangle what Phil has done. No more triangle and breathing down Hornacek's neck. That shit is VERY distracting. Tense. No way to go but up.

Boston and Philly built from the ground up, primarily. So you can't just cut in line and be on par with them. However, this season, NYK may be fighting with Philly. Plus they are going to lose some guys in the future. They have injuries too.

As for THJ. The boy plays hard and can fill the bucket. Create his own shot and will be comfortable starting this season.

Develop the young talent that you have and accumulate more. Change the culture around there. They'll be alright.

my problem is this...

if Melo Hardaway maybe Rajon...hell maybe Rose and the crew play?

what if they win like 35 games?

that RUINS our DRAFT!?!?!?!?

I like Smart if y'all do trade him I would love the Mavs to get their hands on him and get rid of Matthews somehow

man, dude is good player. but he will drive you crazy can't drive to the basket to save his life...Lacks speed but makes up for everything with his heart. I Don't think Stevens wants to trade smart. he means more to celtics than anyteam but you never know. I am seeing his name in rumors to go the knicks..sending anyone there will make them a worse player.

Man that ain't all on the Phil...the Knicks been bad way before Phil got there...

Dolan is a clown. But they were a year removed from the playoffs before Phil got there. And didn't return. Triangle included. He made some serious mistakes and stirred the pot.

True but that's the recent knicks history....

They never returned because everyone around them got better and the Knicks didn't.

Daryl Morey perfectly sums up Rockets’ team-building strategy in one sentence

The Houston Rockets have been quite busy this offseason putting together a team that can better compete with the Golden State Warriors.

This has seen them acquire several key players such as All-Star point guard Chris Paul, veteran forward P.J. Tucker, and veteran big man Nene. In light of that, general manager Daryl Morey has perfectly summed up the Rockets’ moves this offseason.

There is another USA Basketball member available in the trade market in All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony, who has reportedly become open to waiving his no-trade clause to land in Houston. Morey could presumably put together a concerted effort to acquire the 33-year-old but there may be a few bumps in the road in order for that scenario to work out.

The Rockets don’t currently possess many appealing trade assets given the plethora of moves they have made over the last several days. This would likely mean that another team would have to enter the picture in order to help facilitate a trade.

Given the aggressive nature of Morey, there could be a few more tricks up his sleeve to make something happen. All in all, what this signals more than anything else is that there is still plenty more to come for the Rockets this summer.

They underachieved last season. Should've made the playoffs. But they didn't with that triangle they were trying to force.
Underachieved according to who? They were right where they belonged......in front of the Magic, 76ers and Nets and we know 76ers about to lap them this year.

I guess because of Rose, Pringles and Melo you'd could assume they should've made the postseason.

True, but this was stated before: The squad they had last year was third in the East before Phil fucked it up.

Not saying they would have won a chip, but if they stayed the course they were a playoff team.

Lakers are on deck. Clips vs. LAL. Lakers are playing some "heavy hitters" tonight. Want to see what big dude from IU is going to do.
