NBA offseason 2016-2017...NBA offseason best in sports....This offseason is lit to the 3rd degree!!

tatum looked better

fuck yeah..I was really impressed with his defense, he had like 4 steals he had a sick up and under move. hes got some strength for a skinny guy..that long frame . 5 steals means hes an active player on defense. I am impressed.

Fultz is going to be a player for sure; Boston better hope he doesnt turn into a superstar player though; Tatum reminds me of Otto Porter but I like his game; Boston should be good to go in 2020.....

Amazing thing about Fultz is 3 years ago kid was playing JV... :smh:
I will say this, I kinda see why Boston took Tatum over Jackson though. Jackson may end up being nice, but Tatum has the tools to become a huge problem offensively... :yes:

Yea I see why they did too; Fultz must really work on his game alot for him to improve like that; thats a good sign for the sixers; I like him; I hope Embed stays healthy also

MLB players are not getting paid like that; yes there are super players that are getting paid, but most players are getting paid like that; There is a cap in hockey; and baseball has a luxury tax that overwhelming majority of teams dont come close to; and that keeps salaries down in baseball; and remember they also play 80 plus more games; yes they are gonna get paid more!!!!! Superstars arent getting paid as close as you think to the others; there are some players that shouldnt be getting paid that much but for the most part it makes sense....

MLB has no cap bruh......if you don't mind paying a luxury tax you can sign whoever you want. NBA has a salary cap and a luxury tax.

fultz looked good but looked like he got gassed early and his handles got sloppy late. he'll probably do better next game though
He did a good job going to the hole at the end though. Brown just made a better play. I'm sure he was winded at the end. Tatum said he was.

yeah.....dude is legit.....
and just think.....Boston may get the first pick again next year.....lol

We'll see about that. But that deal set them up nicely. Just building through the draft. They'll be ready in a couple/ few seasons.

You are absolutely right they dont; but like I said most teams are no where near the luxury tax; and most teams will never go no where near the tax; its there to create a pseudo salary cap; NBA players are getting paid....

"Back in December, when MLB and the MLBPA agreed to the new collective bargaining agreement, the luxury tax system was overhauled to include much harsher penalties. Under the old CBA the maximum teams could be taxed was 50 percent for every dollar over the annual threshold. Now the maximum tax rate is 92 percent under certain conditions.

The new luxury tax penalties are so steep they effectively serve as a salary cap. The vast majority of teams are nowhere near the luxury tax threshold, which is $195 million in 2017."

and baseball players salaries are not higher than nba players:

"USA TODAY Sports' annual salary survey shows the average major leaguer will make $4.47 million in 2017. That's still a record - but just a 1.6% increase over the $4.4 million mark last year. And that's the smallest bump since the last salary decrease - from $2.5 million in 2003 to $2.4 million in 2004, a 3% drop."

"Thanks to a salary cap that is skyrocketing due to soaring television revenue, NBA teams shot up the list this year. Of the 25 highest-paid teams in the world, 18 are from the NBA, and overall, the average NBA player makes $6.4 million, tops in the world."

2
Yankees
$ 201,539,699

3
Red Sox
$ 199,805,178

4
Tigers
$ 199,750,600

5
Blue Jays
$ 177,795,368

6
Rangers
$ 175,909,063

7
Giants
$ 172,354,611

8
Cubs
$ 172,189,880

9

14

15
Royals
$ 140,925,250

16
Rockies
$ 130,963,571

17
Indians
$ 124,861,165

18
Astros
$ 124,343,900

19
Braves
$ 112,437,541

20
Marlins
$ 111,881,100

21

22

23

$ 100,575,946

24

26
Diamondbacks
$ 93,257,600

27
Athletics
$ 81,738,333

28
Padres
$ 71,624,400

29
Rays
$ 69,962,532

30
Brewers
$ 63,061,300

Yep, there are the Dodgers yet again at the top spot. It’s also worth noting that they top the average 2017 payroll of $137,746,636 by more than $100,000,000. So they’re on another level, even relative to the other well-heeled power teams. To put a finer point on it, Clayton Kershaw’s salary for 2017 -- $33 million -- is more than what the Padres are paying the 25 players on their active roster ($29,628,400). Yes, the Pads’ overall payroll is significantly higher than that, but that’s mostly because of all the money they’re paying players on other teams.

Nah they can't get the first pick. 1st pick is protected so if the Lakers get it it goes to the Sixers. In that case the Celtics take the Kings pick in 2019. Pick has to be between 2,3,4,5 for the Celtics to get it.

Kevin Durant: To be determined ($25+ million)

Smh.....
Im not even a Durant fan. And I get all the early bird stuff. But seeing some of these other guys higher than him on the list is aggravating.

Imho, Blake is gonna show he's not worth what he's getting, now that CP3 aint there.

imma just logg off

:lol:I feel ya; but you cant compare other teams dumb decisions though; GS is in the position they are in now because they have made very smart decisions; from ownership on down to players; most NBA teams though make dumb decisions and continue to make them...

True. Built a dynasty through the draft and capped it off with free agency. Best way to do it.

There all out of game shape. Remember he hasn't played a game since early March. It's July. Game shape and regular in shape are two different things.

jtJEsC.jpg

Absolutely but like you said they are all out of game shape. It showed for him more then the others. I wasnt really criticizing him though. He still had a good game.

KD has a one year deal....win another and move on. I can't see Golden State paying that much luxury tax in three or four years.

Next year could be interesting if him and Lebron are on the open market

Hes not leaving GS; and LBJ is certainly leaving Cavs....
