You are correct it goes both ways. The subjectivity of refs always impacts the game whether they blow whistles on ticky-tack shit or swallow them on obvious shit(no pun intended).

Jordan brand never really promoted shooting efficiency because he never dominated it. He had plenty of 10-30 nights, 5-19 nights, 15-35 nights, led the league in missed shots 7 seasons and no one gave a fuck. Just as long as he got his 30 even if 15 of it came from the FT line off phantom calls he had a great game. That was the standard. LeBron shoots a higher percentage from the field and from deep so he can take a lot less shots than MJ and easily lap him.

Jordan didnt win his 4th ring til after his 33rd birthday. He won his 6th after his 35th. LeBron is 32. If by the time LeBron turns 35 he has less rings youll have a point. Til then, hes so far ahead of schedule its funny. Magic had 5 rings by age 29, Jordan had 2. It took him 5 more seasons to match him at age 34. What took so long?
