The Bears unexpectedly traded up to select Trubisky second overall in the NFL draft on Thursday night. The pick received a fair share of criticism from Bears fans, because Trubisky started only 13 games in college and is not expected to be ready to start in 2017.

After spending several hours Friday at the Bears' team facility, Trubisky attended the Bulls playoff game, where he was introduced to fans during a timeout in the second half and was presented with a Bulls jersey by Bulls mascot Benny the Bull.

The boos started when the Bears fight song started to play over the loudspeakers at the United Center and a picture of Trubisky from Thursday night's draft was shown on the big screen. Once fans realized Trubisky was in the building, a few more fans started to cheer as Trubisky smiled and waved to the crowd.

Earlier in the day, Trubisky told reporters that he's equipped to handle the scrutiny associated with playing quarterback in the NFL's third-largest market.

"If the coaches say it to the media or they know what they're talking about, then I'll listen to what you guys have to say," Trubisky said. "But unless it doesn't come from the coaches, I know how to block that out. I'm going to stick to what I know and what I do and just continue to learn from the coaches and the rest of these players in the league.

"But yeah, a lot of people got a lot of things to say, but it doesn't necessarily help you."

The Bulls were eliminated from the playoffs Friday night, losing the first-round series 4-2 to the Celtics.

Bears did him wrong even trading up for him. They should've traded back and got him or let whoever get him who they were afraid of getting him.

I've watched a lot of drafts, and I've never noticed so many boos before. They just booed the shitsburg steelers too (although I understand that, and I'd boo them bitches too). I'm just saying, it seems the boos are worse than they've ever been this year.

This draft was RIGHT on time. They needed a whole new secondary and this happened to be the deepest draft in a LONG time full of DB's.

We are going to need all 3 of these guys to come in and contribute ASAP.

Last year Kizer was talked about as being the top QB

They might move Awuzie to safety. At this point, I wouldn't be mad if they drafted a WR or TE, but I would prefer another defensive player.

Still got guys like wayne gallman, and marlon mack..who i love for us...samajie perrine, jamal williams..all good fits for us. If not we address RB next year..strong RB class..we aint winning a superbowl this year anyway

Cb was a huuuuge need and this is the best db class in years..we needed to address it aggressively..its like 2002 all over again when we took lito and sheldon. I will not ever criticize that aggressive mentality in addressing a need

We get marlon mack or wayne gallman and i'm ecstatic...joe douglas and Andy weidl struck gold late with jordan howard in the 5th for the bears last year..i trust in their evaluations to find some late gems
