I think BestBuy has a pretty good deal on this 55" Sony Ultra HD TV with HDR and at Only $799 I think is kinda hard to beat..but then that's why i'm asking YOU guys cuz I know we look EVERYWHERE! So I'm TRYING to stay UNDER $1000 if posible with something no smaller than a 55" although I'd rather have a 60 or 65 but was thinking to find a NEW 65'' 4k Ultra HD TV with HDR would be almost imposible to find and thus would settle for a 55"

I have Samsung and Sony in home but will also consider a LG IF it's worth it WITH a good review. Well here is what I found so far. This set comes with 4 HDMI

this LG is slightly out of your budget but it also supports dolby vision HDR which will be important since some streaming services only support it. not to mention 4K blu-ray will be eventually encoding discs with it as well.

Amazon product ASIN B01C9CZEW0
Hold up what am I missing here...why would I consider this LG when the sony has 4 HDMI's this one has only 3 plus it's $300 More..Both are 4K HDR is it the word Super? I'm looking to understand why is this better? (anyone can answer) :dunno:

there are 2 HDR formats. the one every tv has is HDR10. its good but doesnt offer dynamic color reporduction. the second format is called dolby vision. dolby has a better color accuracy due to it being able to dynamically adjust its color spectrum on the fly. not alot of tvs have it right now and there are some streaming services that dont support HDR10 but support dolby vision. why not future proof yourself by having both available to you. in my opinion 1 extra hdmi port shouldnt be the selling point but if thats what you want then you can always get an hdmi switcher. but if you needed more hdmi ports then an a/v receiver can do that. the one i currently use has 6 hdmi ports so i only need 1 out of the 4 my tv has cuz all my hdmi stuff passes thru my receiver.

Go to Costco. Select the best for your budget. They usually have the high end, newest version of whatever Best Buy is selling.l for just a little more. I like that they double manufacture warranty off rip, plus they pay their employees fair wages.

Just my two cents. Costco has never led me wrong (and if they do - pretty sure they will fix it)

You skipped the part about the EXTRA $300 Bucks...is HDR Dolby vision worth the $300 buck More :hmm:

:dunno:

My Onkyo av amplifier has hdmi 6 inputs .
Plus two hdmi outputs .

The number of HdMi inputs on a tv is useless , just have one and plug into a AV amplifier.
No need to overstate bruh I get your point but don't say USLESS..maybe "not necessary or not always needed" but they are def NOT use LESS. whats your Model Onkyo playa? I have the
HT- R557 was thinking about upgrading to A THX joint

Thanx for the break down others weren't really pointing out the difference like u did.

The HDR riddle hasn't been solved yet with the 2 different formats etc. Furthermore you want a 65 inch....I wouldn't compromise on TV screen size...relatively cheap 4k HDR Tv's are known for not being the best as well....if you don't NEED a TV I would hold off....if you do need one the Sony is fine as long as you can deal with the smaller size and recognize that HDR is a work in progress....there is a 65 inch Hisense that has 4k and HDR that is under a grand....do a search...good picture but it's a Hisense so know that going in...that Sony has some issues...check avsforum.com to see if u can deal with them

Sony has issues in Gen OR this model?

I grabbed a hisense 65 inch tv from Best BUY for $725. I'm playing Horizon Zero DAWN on a ps4 pro and it's fucking amazing.

Vizio P-Series I got it from Best Buy 65 inch it has full array led backlighting not edge lighting and it handles HDR10 and Dolby vision

I just saw the Samsung ks8000 55" for $899 at Costco.
BUT is it Better than the Sony I posted at $799 :hmm:

yeah it is picture quality wise there is a noticeable difference. samsungs always have a more realistic image to them then other brands especially the 240hz models

i have that model myself

4 hdmi's as well it's well worth spending the few bucks more for it.

Hey Fam which off brand is better between a Haier 65" Class 4K ULTRA HD LED TV and a Hisense 65 inch 4K Ultra HD LED TV

All I can vouch for is the Hisense bro. Ps4 pro in 4k hdr (verified 4k resolution in the ps4 menu) with Horizon Zero Dawn. I'll post some pics when I get back home. My pops helped me hang this monster last week.
