Everything We Know About Game of Thrones' Seventh Season... So Far
What We Don’t Know: The Whole Story

The reports are based on a single Reddit thread on R/FreeFolk, a Game of Thrones subreddit, that saw a user invent their own synopsis for the season attempting to weave all the disparate nuggets of information we do know about season seven so far into a cohesive whole. It is, as the user themselves says at the top of the post, simply speculation rather than an actual leak. So before we start discussing some of those spoilers below, you can be rest assured: we don’t know everything just yet.

But we do know for crtain that...

Daenerys Invades
This much was obvious, considering season six ended with Daenerys and her combined forces, with the help of Yara and Theon Greyjoy, setting sail for Westeros at long last. But we have learned that Daenerys’ invasion of her homeland may actually happen much quicker than many fans might have expected. After seasons of umming and ahhing, the Mother of Dragons is moving with haste.

There are at least two major areas in Westeros where Daenerys will make her mark. The first is the Targaryens’ ancestral seat at Dragonstone—which was occupied by the Baratheons up to Stannis’ death—pretty early on in the season, given that major meetings between her forces and other characters occur there (more on those later) in set reports.

The other area is a lot closer to home for Cersei Lannister. Daenerys apparently reclaims an area called the Dragonpit, home to many major scenes currently being filmed. In the lore of A Song of Ice and Fire, the Dragonpit was where Targaryen rulers housed their draconic pets—ideal for Dany’s brood—and located very close to the city of King’s Landing itself. If Daenerys is setting up shop there in season seven, it means she’s within striking distance of retaking the Iron Throne itself, if she hasn’t conquered the city already.

The Next Battle of the Bastards?
Part of Daenerys’ invasion seems to include what is essentially season seven’s answer to last year’s “Battle of the Bastards”—the epic battle between Jon Snow’s northern rebels and the Boltons. Many reports about this major new action sequence for the show have come out recently, and it’s evolved over tim; the first rumors indicated that the battle would be primarily fought at sea, between Lannister-allied forces and Yara and Theon’s fleet, while also encompassing a minor land battle.

That seems to have recently flipped, with now the majority of the sequence being a land-based battle featuring around 450 extras, making it almost the same size as the Battle of the Bastards. However, the event is described as being less like a traditional battle and more like an ambush by Daenerys’ forces. The latest rumors indicate that Daenerys herself could take to the field, atop one of her dragons, and that her armies are ambushing a convoy of Lannister forces—rumored, but not confirmed, to be lead by Jamie Lannister. Considering it seems like Daenerys sets up shop in Westeros pretty quickly, this major battle could take place early on in the season.

A Meeting of Ice and Fire

One of the biggest things we know about this season is that it seems like Daenerys will find herself with at least one major ally in Westeros when she arrives, and it’s none other than Jon Snow himself. Scenes recently filmed on location in the Basque country in Spain saw Jon and Davos Seaworth make landfall at Dragonstone, greeted by Tyrion, Missandei, and several Dothraki and Unsullied. Oh, and Theon too, which looks to be like less of a happy reunion for Jon.

All this leads to a moment fans have been waiting for and speculating about pretty much since the show began: Jon Snow will meet Daenerys Targaryen for the very first time. And, considering other events we’ll discuss later, it seems like the two will unite their forces in an attempt to wrestle the Iron Throne from the Lannisters once and for all.

A Familiar Face Returns
Jon isn’t the only familiar face showing up on Daenerys’ doorstep at Dragonstone this season. Another long-absent character from Game of Throneswill seemingly be involved with events at the castle: Gendry, the illegitimate son of King Robert Baratheon, last seen merrily sailing away from the clutches of Stannis and Melisandre in season three.

Actor Joe Dempsie was spotted in Belfast when production on the show there began a few months ago, but recently set images came out confirmed that Gendry would again appear in the show, seemingly meeting Tyrion and Davos Seaworth along the shore below Dragonstone once more. While we don’t have any clues as to what Gendry will be doing in the next season—presumably he’s just knackered from rowing for the past four years—or how he’ll fit into Daenerys’ plans, his return seems like it could play a major role in helping to destabilize Cersei’s grip on the Iron Throne.

New Allies and Enemies in King’s Landing
Daenerys isn’t the only one making big new alliances next season—hell, she’s not even the only one teaming up with a Greyjoy. Apparently Cersei will ally herself with Euron Greyjoy himself, sending him off to fight his own relatives (and, apparently, capture one of them—rumored to be Yara rather than Theon) at sea and presumably shore up Lannister defenses in preparation for Dany’s arrival.

But Queen Cersei is, in her typical style, also making some big enemies in the capital, too. Recent reports indicate that Tycho Nestoris, the Iron Bank of Braavos representative played by Mark Gatiss in season four and five of the show, will head to King’s Landing next season, looking to collect on the many loans the crown has made from the bank since Robert Baratheon took the throne. Reports about Nestoris’ role in the season indicate that Cersei will make a hugely important decision involving him, with major ramifications for the show going forward. Considering the Iron Bank is known for supporting the enemies of those that stiff it out of money, could Cersei renege on the popular belief of Lannisters always paying their debts?

The Dragonpit
We know that the Dragonpit will be a monumentally important location in the upcoming season, not just because of Daenerys’ presence there and its proximity to King’s Landing, but because there hasve been tons of rumors about basically almost all of the principle cast filming scenes there, in what could possibly the biggest reunion of the show’s ensemble cast pretty much since Game of Thrones began.

Obvious choices like Emilia Clarke have been spotted filming in the two locations believed to be being used in Spain for the Dragonpit—the amphitheater in the Roman ruins of Itálica and the Royal Dockyards at Seville—in recent months, but an absolute ton of actors from the cast have been rumored to film scenes there as well, including what could be some of the climatic scenes of the season. A recent report indicated scenes being filmed that include seventeen members of the principal cast, including Jon and his allies, Daenerys and her retinue, Cersei, Jamie, and the Lannisters, and even, bizarrely, Sandor Clegane. While we don’t know what happens at the Dragonpit yet, expect it to be a major locale in season seven.

Another Stark Reunion?
A lot of what we’ve heard about season seven so far is isolated to the south of Westeros and the impending conflict between House Targaryen and House Lannister—so what of the North and Beyond the Wall?

Actually, we’ve heard hardly anything about the North so far, especially with the news that Jon, Brienne, and Davos will be riding south to meet with Daenerys. There’s one major, still unconfirmed exception, that could take place next year. Paparazzi pictures that emerged last month from filming in September seemed to indicate that Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), and Bella Ramsay (Leanna Mormont) were all filming at the same time at studios in Belfast together.

While this doesn’t necessarily confirm that all the actors are filming scenes with each other—the images were of the actors emerging from makeup trailers, rather than actually filming—it’s led to a lot of speculation that the shattered remnants of the Stark family could come together at long last. While Bran was left beyond the Wall last season, we do know at least Arya is back in Westeros, so a reunion of the Stark kids and their allies in the north could be on the cards. It’s just not a plot point that’s as concrete as others we’ve heard about.

While a lot of these sound like major events for Game of Thrones, there’s still a lot that we don’t know about the next season—and with no book material to draw upon, anything could still happen.

HBO’s Game Of Thrones, the hit show about sibling fucking, is currently in the process of filming its seventh and kinda-sorta-not-really final full season in Spain. While most of the plot developments of the first six seasons were either matters of public record or relatively simple to discern, author George R.R. Martin’s failure to write the final books in the series on which the show is based means there’s no scaffolding upon which the showrunners can build the plot of Season 7, and no canon sources for fans to follow along with.

However, that doesn’t mean that the plot is of the next season is a mystery. A bit over three weeks ago, a Reddit user called awayforthelads “leaked” extremely detailed plot developments from the upcoming season on /r/FreeFolk. (This subreddit is one of the main hubs for speculation and theorizing, and a few reputable leaks have broken first on the site.) Another Reddit user who claims to be close to one of the “major actors/actresses in the show” said that the leaks were bullshit, and claimed that despite the granular detail put forth they were merely idle speculation, the same as any theory. Between that and the ludicrousness of the plot details offered by awayforthelads, the “leak” was thus easily ignored—until it began to prove apparently true, in ways far too detailed to be just luck.

[SPOILERS TO FOLLOW. I’M TALKING BIG SPOILERS, ABOUT THE WHOLE DAMN SEASON INCLUDING SOME DEATHS AND SHIT SO IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW MIGHT I OFFER YOU SOME OTHER FINE GAME OF THRONES BLOGS ON SUCH TOPICS AS THEORIES, PODRICK’S DICK, OR PAGES. THIS PARENTHETICAL IS OVER]

While awayforthelads has deleted his account, screenshots are out there and other users have aggregated his posts and followed along as reports from the set have tacked eerily close to his original leaks. Here is a compilation of the spoilers, and they are wild. The big ones are as follows: Jon and Daenerys spend much of the season together at Dragonstone, and in the finale they have sex while the Wall crumbles; Arya and Sansa are reunited, and Arya executes Littlefinger at Sansa’s command; Euron and Cersei form a doomed alliance against the Daenerys/Jon coalition; Samwell, Gilly, and Bran put together that Jon Snow is actually the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and the trueborn son of Rhaegar Targaryen (this is complicated and involves an annulment and Jon being named Aegon, same as his half-brother); Jon and a host of others go north of the Wall to capture a wight to prove the nature of the looming threat to Westerosi rulers; and the Night King kills and possesses Viserion, turns him into an ice dragon, and uses him to burn down the Wall. It’s unclear whether or not Euron resurrects that horrifying Cthulu monster that our old friend Poor Quentyn predicted he would, but in all these plot events are both pretty insane and actually in line with where the show seemed to be headed after Cersei nuked King’s Landing and Daenerys set sail for Westeros.

An assiduous Reddit user has compiled a running timeline of the plot points laid out by awayforthelads and noted where reports from the set have confirmed his information. Watchers On The Wall, a highly reliable fan site that regularly breaks news about the show, has confirmed that Cersei, Tyrion, Jon, Daenerys and a host of other main characters are present at the Dragonpit in King’s Landing when a wight is offered as proof that the white walkers exist and are a threat—a plot point too unexpected to have just been pulled out of someone’s ass. They’ve also confirmed that Jon and Daenerys meet at Dragonstone in what’s probably the third episode.

Not every piece of information has been confirmed, but enough of the tentpole moments seem to be coming true that awayforthelads’s information can, improbably, be trusted. HBO is probably mortified, just like they were when a bunch of full episodes leaked a few years ago, but it’s not as if the revelation that there’s a goddamn ice dragon will turn viewers off. If you’re this deep in a blog post replete with spoilers, you’re probably into the show enough that you’d watch it even if a Reddit user confirmed that the next season would be a meditative one-act play where Hodor’s ghost chats with Benjen Stark; if the whole thing sounds lousy, you (and HBO brass) can take comfort in the fact that so much of Game Of Thrones takes place between the action-adventure set pieces that the show will doubtless still manage to surprise you.

Game of Thrones Deleted Scene Reveals Queen of Thorns Plot Against Cersei

Game of Thrones season 7 is eagerly anticipated by viewers, as the big war for Westeros finally nears its bloody start. However, since season 7 will start later than the usual spring premiere slot (coming in summer 2017 instead), the upcoming Blu-ray release of Game of Thrones season 6 will have to tide fans over with fan extras like behind-the-scenes featurettes and deleted scenes.

The latter is what we have for you today: a Game of Thrones deleted scene newly revealed by EW shows The Queen of Thorns (aka Olenna Tyrell, played by Dame Diana Rigg) doing some plotting in her usual forked-tongue manner.

The scene features Lady Olenna confronting Lord Mace Tyrell (Roger Ashton-Griffiths) about his thick-headedness, letting Cersei Lannister maneuver him to the Iron Bank of Bravos, leaving his children Loras and Margaery to Cersei's so-called mercy.

The scene also concretely establishes that Lady Olenna heeded Margaery's warning and is fleeing from King's Landing before Cersei gets to her, too. However, as we see in the scene, the Queen of Thorns has no intention of simply running scared and hiding: she wanted Cersei and the Sparrows to wipe one another out. She probably won't be pleased when she learned how that little conflict resolved itself.

Game of Thrones returns for season 7 in summer 2017.

Yeah I prefer to binge watch a show. Sort of like watching a long movie over a weekend
My brother has been coming over a couple of weekends a month to binge watch the series over here with me. He watches it here because I can explain certain things that he's unable to get

Game of Thrones is one of those shows that can lose you because there are so many people and so Much Depth that sometimes you don't get how way leads onto way ( a little Robert Frost for the old heads).

Thankfully, I have you guys to explain anything that I don't understand or get at the time sometimes it's small Easter eggs comma sometimes it's things a little more important

Game of Thrones Gets a New Red Priestess for Season 6

08-melanie-liburd.w529.h529.jpg

Game of Thrones has signed one more name to its ever-growing cast: British actress Melanie Liburd, who broke the news herself on her own Instagram. Though Deadline's report seems to indicate that Liburd will be replacing Carice van Houten's Melisandre, all other evidence points to that not being the case — as first reported by Watchers on the Wall, she's playing the new red priestess character from the leaked season-six casting notice. Judging from photos from the set, she'll pop up in Meereen next year, where, according to a leaked audition for the role, she'll match wits with Tyrion and Varys. If one of them doesn't say "R'hllor? I hardly know 'er!" we will be incredibly disappointed.
