Air Fryers. No oil frying. How many use one?

you can put 10 wings (halves) in the Faberware. You can probably get 15 of them in the Todd...maybe more

Thanks. I don't normally cut them in half like party wings. I tuck the wing tip in so they are they triangle shape. After I thought about it, I think I only get about 7 or so in the fry pan, so I normally have to cook two batches anyway. I'm almost convinced, but I'm still worried about the non stick coating.

Yeah i was worried about the coating too. Its too soon to tell though. I literally give them both 10/10 for taste, ease of use, and no more cooking oil. You will be amazed at the flavor, crispiness, and juiciness these things produce

The t-fal is supposed to have a ceramic basket, but I'm not sure about the capacity. Most list by quarts, they say the capacity is 2.2lbs. The reviews on amazon were OK, but the target site had bad reviews for it.

I always wanted to ask this...

how much do you trust the customer reviews?

Cause sometimes it has damn near 5 stars and then the some of the latest reviews be trash.

How much faith can we REALLY put in them?

Thats why you buy it at a store you can return it to.

Okay I am now convinced, I want a few of these. Which unit has the largest basket and that has a ceramic basket, or any material that does NOT have a non stick coating?

thanks folks

Well I write reviews from time to time. The more reviews an item has, the less likely they are to be fake. People check reviews on amazon for dates and patterns tho, many time fake reviewers get called out. I've even seen someone go through another's review history and call them out on fake reviews.

There was a Phillips listed as an airfryer on ebay that had a ceramic inside, but it was listed as a multi cooker on Amazon. I'll have to research this some more but I have a lot going on this week, so it will be a while.

I'd like to thank you guys for this thread. I'm embarrassed but I've never heard of an air-fryer until I entered this thread. Some cat posted an Amazon link to the machine that he has and I bought the same one...

I've cooked a few things in the past 3 days with the machine and I will honestly say, this machine is the bomb! Here's my favorite dish...Wings and tater tots.. For the wings...I season them and let them marinate in a plastic bag for 20 mins. I get one egg, dip the wings in the egg, then dip the wings in Panko bread crumbs. Set the temp to 400, 25 mins. at 12 mins I flip the wings. For the tater tots... 9 mins at 400 degrees with 1/2 tbsp olive oil and they come out better than any tater tots you've ever eaten. Here's a pic of what I'm eating right now..

I just literally saw Gordon Ramsay advertising this thing.

In theory, it seems like it makes sense. I'll have to read through this thread to see what people think of it but overall impressions seem positive.

I saw an ad on youtube earlier. I probably need to clear my browsing history.

Oh and....

I got the GoWise from Amazon and the shit came broken. Was cooking home fries for 25 minutes and the shit was mush. Picked up the shit and it was rattling inside and the top was melted. That's when I realized it was fucked. Shit was too quiet so I guess the fan wasn't spinning. Going for Philips XL instead.

Which one did you get? I was looking at a GoWise they have that is 10.5 quarts. Its only 140.00.

It looks like it may be a newer model, only 11 reviews. It looks like GoWise actively monitors reviews, so if you haven't already, I'd leave a poor one for the one you did purchase.

I really want this thing but I'm so worried about peeling.

so if i get one of these and make fries with truffle oil 1 tbl spoon....did any of you guys try this?
I found if u feel the need to oil ur fries just coat the bottom of air fryer(the surface of which your food is laying on ) instead of pouring it directly on the food.

Again i like to use cooking rack inside of tfal air fryer so both sides get cooked evenly.

U really dont need to use any oil for fries they come out crispy.
