Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

......... That's it??? That's the plan from our fearless leader??? Elaborate please... You know him so well, give me something to go to the troops with outside of... "Don't do what he expects you to do..." That's battle 101, what else you got???

yea you say its battle 101 but what did he get out there and do?

A couple of thoughts for the finale next week
  • I'm glad that Little Finger came through in the end but now we have to worry about the cost of his help and Jon dealing with the fact that Sansa did it behind his back. Jon don't know shit about LF and now his indebted to him. I hope that doesn't put a strain on Jon and Sansa's relationship.
  • I said it once but it bears repeating .... Davos is about to go ape shit on the red woman!
  • Rickon dying was the kindest thing that could have happened to him. It was damn near a mercy killing. Jon is a PROVEN warrior and leader. Rickon might have had the name but we know who the real lord of Winterfell is now. Ramsay putting him down was just the kind thing to do.
  • Anytime Dany and Yara went to start making out is fine by me :sleazy:
  • They didn't show any clips of Bran in the preview for episode 10. I'm hoping that's because the last scene will be something epic involving him. Something so big that they couldn't even show a preview for it without potentially spoiling it.
Davos can't fight. He's not a military mind. He's some loser who hooked up to a bigger loser and gave that losers kid the first flame repellent toy.

yea you say its battle 101 but what did he get out there and do?

What else was he really gonna do??? Wait??? Then what??? It was an unwinnable battle to begin with, but what else was he supposed to do with that cunt withholding key info??? Turn around and leave??? He wasn't going to win head up regardless, so let's say he didn't take the bait....... What was the next move, when he didn't know he had backup??? How about Sansa tell him WHY he needed to wait??? How about Sansa tell hI'm something to go to the boys with the give them an edge, cause for all her expertise, he had that bitch tucked away in a room fucking her, feeding her scraps and locking her back up after.

I didn't say he was going to fight her. I said he was going to go ape shit. The second he finds out the truth, there is no telling what he will do to the red woman.
I mean is Davos gonna have to choke a bitch. I feel like Davos is gonna have to choke a bitch.

I don't know about that.

He definitely isn't a fighter (physically speaking) but he's shrewd and knowledgeable in terms of planning.

Had Stannis listened to him more instead of depending on sorcery he may still be in the game.

Davos' downfall/weakness us his nobility/honor which on this show always spells doom.

He's the closest to Ned Stark on the show currently (and we know how that ended.)

this ain't got nothing to do with what actually happened and more to do with how you feel about sansa.

sansa offered what she could she never claimed to be a tactician. she was just telling them listen you don't know this dude...and they didn't. part of winning a fight is knowing what your opponent wants to do. she told them what he likes.
she said specifically HE LIKES TO PLAY GAMES AND HE LIKES TO SET TRAPS
so. with that information they should have devised a plan that doesn't end up with them fucking surrounded on all sides, trapped and inches away from death, jon included. how about that? lol

Cause Jon is a legendary fighter up to this point, even moreso than his father. Ramsey is no where in the conversation.

I'd say that was poor writing at that point. It made no sense. He always came off as tactical until the end but also didn't seem to care about getting his hands dirty when needed. Plus do you expect me to believe he could kill from a distance with an arrow but some how a shield would save Jon at close range while walking up on Ramsey.it should have ended with a real fight between the two.no way should one of the best villains have gone down that easily.

It was an unwinnable battle bruh... Maybe they didn't give him the satisfaction of being suffocated, but they weren't going to win regardless without help. So while what she said, what little she offered may have been accurate, in that particular situation it was fucking useless. She had an ace up her sleeve that wouldve helped. Did she give that bit of info??? THAT would have helped them devise a better plan, not... "Don't do what he expects you to do..." That's like your dad giving you the life advice of... "Do the right thing...":hmm:

Once again Sansa is the root of another family members death. Jon had a plan based off the resources he believed they had at the time.Sansa choose to withhold critical information. The truth is she didnt and doesn't trust her brother.when it comes down to it, she probably doesn't view Jon as her brother and is still the same spoiled girl from the start of the series except she was afraid of Ramsey and others like him.I suspect she may taken her mother's views of Jon.in the end she may not care about anyone except herself.

Good question. Tough call. I definitely know that with more numbers they would have had a better strategy (sneak attack?). Probably over powered Ramsay and taken less casualties (Wun Wun lives). However, Jon would definitely still tried to save Rickon.

Then again Ramsay finds out they have more troops and devises a new scheme. Jon still plays into his hands due to Rickon.

NExt season, the Red Witch resurrects Rickon.

Jon might ask her to next episode.

she certainly could, but if The Lord of light doesnt have a plan for you, your ass gets to stay dead unfortunately.

Beric Dondarrion hasn't been much of a factor...........on the show anyway.

Sansa is rising Senior in the Littlefinger school of Political chicanery. Littlefinger's strategy is always to inject a bit of chaos into situation which he remain isolated from. By not telling John she is allowed to weaken Jon (killing off a lot of the wildlings) without sacrificing her primary goal of reclaiming Winterfell. Now she has Winterfell and strength of Arms to tell Jon Snow to go kick rocks if she so chooses.

She has no reason or desire to tell Jon to go kick rocks. However, you have a good point about how killing off a lot of the Wildings and the other soldiers puts Jon in a weakened position. Littlefinger has the knights of the Vale so he is in a much better military position to take Winterfell than Jon does. Marrying Sansa could effectively legitimize his claim.

What?!? Fellas Ramsay is taking a permanent dirt nap, period. She's smiling because her assumption that Jon Snow is the prince that was promised might be true after she was so wrong about Stannis.

I hate having to explain simple shit...so I won't

What does he think happened to the girl and her mother? Maybe he should take longer walks.

I think Tyrion would be up there with them had he not had that blind (unrequited) love/loyalty to his family.

I think he always believed he could change his father and Cercei's view of him and get them to accept him.

I think that's a Stretch.

Tyrion had no real motivation but to survive, Drink, and fuck.

He only stayed around his family because the money provided those 3 things, and Jamie. If Jamie died I think Tyrion would have left a long time ago.

He is really smart,a helpful adversary to anyone, but he has no real ambitions.

I started clapping when that Bolton banner fell and the Stark banner was hung back up.
I can't wait until the opening of next week's episode. We haven't seen the wolf fly over Winterfell in the opening since season 2 when the Ironborn or Ramsay (I forget who actually sacked Winterfell) torched the castle.

This is what Ramsey being brought back would look like:

man yall are tripping lmao.
she's the root of his death really? if she would have said that the vale was coming how exactly would that have prevented him from killing her brother?
it wouldn't have.
the only person who could have saved rickon is arya.
yall letting how she was influence how you view her now.

Like I stated earlier Little Finger held the outcome of the battle of the bastards in his hands.

Sansa warned Jon, Jon should have got more men, Actually took more time to come up with a solid plan.

I DONT CARE WHAT YOU SAY: Jon and all the Starks are terrible leaders! Jon is a brawler with a sword not graceful like Jamie or efficient like the hound. Speed and luck really has carried Jon through if you want to be real.

It's not. Because they didn't even know that much about him. you keep taking about don't do what he expects you to do but leave out the HE LIKES TO PLAY GAMES AND SET TRAPS PART lol.

that is the most crucial part. that ties everything together. HE like to play fucking games and he likes to set fucking traps.
don't do what he expects is after jon is acting like a dunce.
if someone who has lived with him says he likes to play games and set traps then YOU as the leader go back to the drawing board and devise a different plan of action of sorts. you think about what might he expect and what could be a trap and then you go out there and not fall for it lol.

and all of that is independent of her not talking about the vale coming to help. she was wrong for not sharing that info.
however she was right in telling him what was going to happen before it did.

for the sansa haters I'm add fuel to the fire...now that I think on it...suppose sansa wanted rickon to die...she know jon is a bastard so he can't be considered the rightful heir of winterfell...rickon stood in her way...she was way to quick to dismiss him as being already dead...I don't even think she shuddered when she saw his body...it's almost like she just wanted to confirm his death thus making her the sole rightful heir of winterfell...if bran is smart he will keep away...she probably plotting on jon too just to be safe

nah fam. her telling him he loves to play games and set traps is absolutely useless information to a leader.

tell tywin lannister or jamie lannister that shit and see what happens lol

I know you just fucking around, but she might as well feel that way, because Sansa doesnt give a fuck about no one but Sansa.

that seems like a stretch only in the sense i don't see her thinking that far ahead. i see her reacting on the same level that jon is, off emotion. she just can't fight so she is asking for help left and right etc etc.
if we see a little more of her and maybe how she reacts when arya makes it back that will tell us if she's in it for the family or for herself.

:roflmao:She should have said, you know nothing Jon Snow, then he would have listened.

probably i mean that's vital information. them dudes that died are looking up from heaven like wait she said that he plays games and sets traps and he just had us run right up on him?

what happened to the shit they were supposed to do to make sure they couldn't attack them from the side? what happened to that shit? lol

Shit went out the window when Jon dumb ass went after Reckon. They went to go get his ass.

Jon should have talk to Black fish about those kind of setups.

Who run the north? We Do! Who run the North? We do!! Now show them!

There weren't any men to get.

In addition the longer he waited Ramsey would have gotten stronger and solidified his position in the North.

It was now or never.

Thats praying for a miracle.

Your out numbered. Your 2nd in command is telling you, that Your enemy is also smarter than you; you have to consider something better.

There effectiveness worked against them.

Ramsey sent in his JV team to wear Jon and his team down and use the carnage to his advantage. They didn't rush them frozen from the sides so Jon wasn't wrong in that respect.

You're putting a lot of faith in a little girl who may not have mastered her training yet.

I agree he more than likely was going to die regardless, but she gave up on saving him from the start.sansa's only concern was getting back at one of the people who hurt her and could careless about the people aroutdoor her. She doesn't even respect any of them.I say if Jon would have known about the support troops on the way, the battle probably wouldn't have takenot place at that time to start with or a rescue mission would have been the priority.

There was no better though.

In a perfect world he could have waited but Ramsey was coming for them no matter what and was already plotting on taking Jon at the wall. He knew he had the numbers so Jon was going to have to fight whether he was ready or not.
