Steve Kerr needs to light up into Curry and Klay. It's not like they aren't getting open shots. Cleveland played inspired D last nite, but them ninjas are just missing shots. And what's maddening is that they rarely go to the rack. It's usually 3s or bust for them. They need to drive some on those pick and rolls. Get some pull-up Js and try to get to the FT line.

That's who the Warriors are tho, a jumpshot team, the greatest jump shot team of all time maybe but still a jump shot team

Was actually having this conversation today! It's not just the fact that they're not playing well, especially Curry, his body language, his whole flow is off! I think the biggest issue is, and I've said it before, they started reading their own press clippings. As much as that Oklahoma City come back was amazing, it was the worst thing that could have happened to them coming into the finals because now all of a sudden you have this I'm Invincible attitude. You can't just turn it on and off whenever you feel like it, Oklahoma City played into their hands, LeBron won't do that. This is a hell of a wake-up call. They still may win the series, but win or lose Curry is going to face criticism like never before.

It's going to be real interesting to see how Curry comes back next season. One thing I'll say about LeBron, he may not have the Killer Instinct but criticism or not, the dude always comes back stronger

My QB Cam Newton was on local radio here in Charlotte this morning and declared LeBron as the best player in the NBA over Steph. He did say Steph was the best player on the best team, and that team will always supercede skill.

You can shoot a jumpshot at 17 feet sometimes instead of 27 feet all the time.

If you keep missing deep, move in closer.

Yeah. Kind of hard to change when things have worked so well that you won 73 games with it.

I don't know if it's fatigue, shooting slump, good defense...or a combination of any or all of those things, but they haven't shot well this series or for long stretches over the playoffs. Again with Steph, for the exception of two games, he's just been an average shooter.

I don't think they'll go into panic mode yet, but if they continue to shoot like that, at what point does Kerr tell them to change their tactics and try to be more aggressive by attacking the basket a bit... because if these role players don't keep this production up, the warriors are going to let the Cavs back in this

Light the torch
It's lit, we lit
Ain't that what the young kids say these days?
(Lebron)

[Verse]
The kid got State Farm insurance
That three point from J.R's the purest
We got that play hard endurance
We here to stay, y'all the tourists
The king on his throne, now it's on
Kyrie just destroying the zone
The isolation, double team
He driving and dish it, all his dishes be clean
Tatted up like J.R Smith
What was that sound? That was swish
Shoutout to Shumpert and Trist
They got the rebounds and defense
Stop all that crying about Delly game
You know Lebron want hella rings
You know lil Kev got hella range
Y'all been down with T. Lue since he was wearing braids
Here comes the fast break, just get out the man's way
It's lead by Lebron and he's sunk like an earthquake
As soon as he dunking we all feel the world shake
Like arrivederci, all hail the king
The city on his shoulder like barbell on strings
But ain't no place like home
That rope ain't too long and they gon' pull it off
The king want his crown back, he never took it off
Tunechi

[Outro]
I know I'm being cavalier
Yeah, I know I'm being cavalier
But you know what you could do?
Pass me that freaking ball
Watch me go off, off, off
Watch me go off, off, off
Pass me the ball, watch me go off
Pass me the ball, watch me go off
Pass me the ball, watch me go off
Watch me go off, pass me the, off, off, off
Now can you dab for the Cav?
The left, dab for the Cav
To the right dab for the Cav
Watch me go off
Watch me go off, off, off

I don't think he will get blasted if they win. You can alway attribute that to a team thing, but if they lose he should get some criticism. Every superstar at some point has to face it. Steph has pretty much defied all that shit and the things he doesn't do well is always masked by how great his team is, so he is not blasted much.

Both Bron and Steph have reputation on the line.

Tired legs? I doubt that. Them kats had two days off between game 2 and 3.

Yo. Let's be honest here. Before you starting jumping around, let's deal with the first assertion.

Your counterpoint was that there was not advantage for the Warriors because of the free throw discrepancy.

You then used Curry as the example.

Curry two TWO shots in the paint in the entire game and got fouled on one of them. That's a 50 percent conversion rate.
You can't convert on what you aren't attempting. Curry didn't shoot free throws in game 3 because he didn't drive. It has nothing to do with the refs not calling fouls on the Cavs when they should have.

If you shoot 13 shots and 9 of them are 3 and two of them are step back shots in the lane, you aren't going to shoot a lot of free throws. Point blank. A lack of free throws can mean a lot of things. It can make the refs are calling the game a certain way or it can make your team is playing the game a certain way.or it can mean both.

In this case, Curry didn't shoot free throws because he didn't do anything to draw contact, period. It's not even up for debate. Don't argue for the sake of arguing.

Curry's shot is not dropping, he needs to drive to the basket and put pressure on the Cavs' interior defense.
Exactly remember he started doing that in game 5.. Against a PG who's 10 times better than the one he's facing now

Lol you think baby curry and wifey ain't already on it. The cavs sent that woman to screw Curry mind up #curry #nba #lebron #cavs #goldenstatewarriors #finals #playoff

The Warriors lose to the Cavs tonight 120-90 and drop their 5th straight game 3 of any playoff series. Dubs still lead the series 2 games 1. No need to worry. Draymond 's face says it all. We still got this!!!

Great point,

It's like going for home runs all the time, instead of trying to get on base. The 3pt shot looks good but it's not always the smartest play

Bomani put some shit in context for me today that makes a Dude Ponder...

LeBron is judged on a different level than not only Steph but the entire league. We all roast him for his finals chokes, etc, but not just Steph but NO OTHER Star in the league has to deal with the shit LeBron does. Durant JUST participated in the biggest choke job in years, yet the he didn't get shit on half as bad as he should have. The talk was about how he needs to leave OKC blah blah blah when he was a huge reason they choked!

Steph now, playing even worse than he did last year, for a number of reasons, yet the worse article I've seen was 'Does Curry have to play better for GS to win the Finals?'

If it was LeBron playing like this... it would be front page news and the lead story for every sports broadcast win or lose...

Damn shame too... as much as I like roasting Queen T, the fact that this Dude still makes it back to the finals and still plays at a high level with all that unfair pressure on him needs to be respected. Nigga still needs to win a couple of these finals, but damn, I can only imagine the weight he carries... :smh:

Thing is, unless he goes no a 2-3 chip run, LeBron's legacy already has a asterisk next to it, fair or not... Curry will NEVER be leveled like that because he will always be the 'chosen' and 'safe' one... Kid is a phenomenal talent.. but he's going to have to adds some wrinkles to his game to compete in the playoffs consistently, AND put some weight on... It's obvious at this point he's not built for the way the game changes once you get to 'series' when teams can make game by game adjustments and you've got to see the same fools for 4-7 games...

She catch em all slipping time to time... especially Klay... Aisha don't fuck around with her tho she be making it know... don't fuckin linger here

Bruh her dribble the ball and shooting is sexy as hell to me! Always had a Jones for bad ass chicks who had a little game... Got me feeling some kind of way behind that shit...

She beat Bron on a game of PIG too

That time I beat LeBron James in a game of "PIG"... in a sundress... when I was an intern at Nike HQ in 2008. #HeWasAGoodSport ☺️ Video:

Michael Jordan dickriders dont feel threatened by Steph, Durant, or whoever so its not realistic to expect them to take the heat that Bron does. When LeBron played OKC in the Finals, Jordan dickriders pulled for Durant just like now they are pulling for Steph and the Dubs. Bron is the only player who is a threat to Jordans legacy and has made his individual accolades look basic so goal posts are moved and the over the top criticism is a byproduct. Its why his dickriders emphasize team accomplishments (except when he was swept or missed the playoffs, then they "dont count") over everything else.

Phil Handy reportedly ripped into Cavs, spurred turnaround in Game 3
4:16 PM ET

A tongue-lashing from an unlikely source reportedly helped to motivate the Cleveland Cavaliers, who rebounded from a demoralizing Game 2 defeat to thrash the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Warriors' Thompson calls Mozgov pick 'dirty'[/paste:font]
Timofey Mozgov's pick that left Klay Thompson with a thigh bruise in Game 3 of the Finals on Wednesday night "seemed kind of dirty" to the Warriors guard, he said after the Cavs' rout.

After the Cavaliers' 110-77 loss on Sunday, mild-mannered assistant Phil Handy stunned Cleveland's players with an out-of-character, profanity-laced tirade, Cleveland.com reported, citing sources present in the locker room.

With Cavaliers players moping in the locker room, Handy admonished them for failing to perform on the national stage and questioned their toughness, the website reported.

Richard Jefferson told the website. "He was pissed off. He has to show up there every day. It means a lot to him, it means a lot to us, and for us to go out there and play the way we did was embarrassing.

"Look, we personally feel that no team should handle us the way they did the last two games, and it was disrespectful."

Cavaliers players told Cleveland.com that Handy's stern message resonated with them up to Game 3, when they responded with a 120-99 victory that cut their Finals deficit to 2-1.

Channing Frye told the website that "sometimes you need somebody to remind you of who you are."

Jefferson told the website that it "wasn't normal" for Handy to lay into the team "but sometimes people step out of their norm and say what they feel needs to be said, and it was definitely something that needed to be said."

Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue said Thursday that Handy's message to the team was one that needed to be delivered.

"Something we all knew, that we had to play harder. Just had to continue to compete for 48 minutes, not one quarter, not a quarter-and-a-half. What he said was right on," Lue said. "The guys accepted that, they understood it and we just moved on."

When LeBron played OKC in the Finals, Jordan dickriders pulled for Durant just like now they are pulling for Steph and the Dubs. Dick fixation again bruh?!?!?! Wow

...anyway. Jordan was hated by the media, it was the general public, kids, etc that worshipped him more than anything else. This is a different time, dynamic, etc. and I believe LeBron's issues have nothing to do with a player who is 3-4 generations out of the league. It's more of an issue with how the media, league, etc wants to project a certain 'image'. LeBron, from HS was bigger than life... He started the ESPN era of broadcasting HS games on a national scale, covering major sports magazines, and being label KING, etc, which wasn't his fault, all fucked with the CAC establishment...

When he came into the league, it was still half expected for him to be overrated and underperform, but when he exceeded certain expectations as an 18 year old and dropped 27 in his first game, he became a problem. I even believe to a point, surrounding him with all those bums his first few years in Cleveland, etc. was a CAC conspiracy in which Gilbert participated in, the keep him from winning a Chip, even though he had a lot of success, which explains Gilberts run of 'LUCK' in getting what, 3 number ones in 4 years?!?!

Not only that, but Curry fits the narrative of, two parent, good wholesome upbringing, christian virtues, etc which is why him and his family are shoved down our throats so much... I'll bet most people can't name all of LeBron's kids names, but Riley Curry etc are easy to remember. Shit, Dude has stayed out of trouble, keeps his nose clean, is obviously a great father, obviously loves and takes care of his wife and family, yet, you NEVER see or hear about his wife, what she's up too, etc. Why?!?! Because LeBron comes from a single parent, poverty filled inner city childhood and that is NOT what the league or the CAC media wants to project as a foundation for success... KD, he's not the player LeBron is, so he's not a 'threat' to the narrative they want to project, which is why him, CP3, PG, etc get passes for their losses

With all that being said, as much as I ride this Dude, overall, the way he continues to succeed in the face of all of that bullshit is fucking spectacular, and I believe him losing a lot of these finals is partly because of this shit too... He's going to have to TAKE a chip, because he's not only playing against the other team, but against the 'Machine' :smh:

How Cavaliers assistant coach Phil Handy called out the team and helped create a Game 3 blowout of the Warriors
By Chris Haynes, cleveland.com

on June 09, 2016 at 10:14 AM, updated June 09, 2016 at 10:24 AM

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A dejected Cleveland Cavaliers squad sauntered to the visiting locker room Sunday with heads lowered and no one saying a word.

The sounds of celebratory cheers echoing from the Golden State faithful made their way into the players' sanctuary, making the 33-point pounding the Cavs endured at Oracle even more insufferable.

Sources with knowledge of the proceedings shared the postgame details with cleveland.com.

Following a loss, head coach Tyronn Lue typically chooses to address his team the next morning to eliminate raw emotion, and that evening was no different. He saw how hard his guys were handling the fact that they were in a 0-2 NBA Finals deficit. Also on their minds was the uncertainty of Kevin Love and his concussion.

They were beat up mentally, physical and spiritually.

Lue could tell that his players just wanted out of there. He walked toward the middle of the locker room and called for his guys to bring it in. The players came over and extended their arms, but before they could break, an unlikely voice asked Lue if he could have a few words, and the head coach obliged.

Assistant coach Phil Handy, who happens to be a native of Oakland, erupted with a profanity-laced tirade, questioning their toughness and the lack of fight they displayed on such a grand stage. The players were shocked. Handy is relatively quiet. In Handy's outburst that lasted a few minutes, his overall message was clear and to the point: You guys were punked and you did absolutely nothing about it.

Handy, an Oakland native, had some tough words for the Cavs after their NBA Finals Game 2 loss, and it helped turn the tables for a Game 3 Cavs win Wednesday night.John Kuntz, cleveland.com

That message was candid and straightforward during what was a highly frustrating period, but it was well received.

"He's an Oakland boy, and we went out to Oakland and got our ass whipped twice," Cavs forward Richard Jefferson told cleveland.com. "He was pissed off. He has to show up there every day. It means a lot to him, it means a lot to us, and for us to go out there and play the way we did was embarrassing. Look, we personally feel that no team should handle us the way they did the last two games, and it was disrespectful."

Players said Handy's rant stayed with them in the days leading up to Wednesday's Game 3 in Cleveland, and it showed.

The Cavaliers returned the favor and annihilated the Warriors on Wednesday night, 120-90. The very team that was smiling, dancing, celebrating and discussing in the middle of the series how it would fare against the "Showtime" Los Angeles Lakers was suddenly on the defensive.

The back-to-back MVP was anything but an MVP. Stephen Curry was draped with a swarm of defenders and could not create enough separation in isolation sets to get off quality shots. He was held to two points at the half. He scored 17 in the second half, but the game was already out of reach.

Instead of making plays for his team, he turned it over a game-high six times in 31 minutes. LeBron James took on the assignment of defending Draymond Green, the Warriors' engine. Green went for a game-high 28 points Sunday, but only managed to score half a dozen on this occasion.

The Warriors didn't commit 18 turnovers; the Cavaliers took the ball 18 times. They were the aggressors, and the road team couldn't adjust to the physical play. When those "50-50" balls were loose, the Cavaliers had bodies on the floor and wrestled them away.

The defending champs were overwhelmed by the Cavaliers' physicality, their desperation, the thunderous environment and most importantly their fight. The Cavs didn't play like punks on this night.

"Sometimes you need somebody to remind you of who you are," the Cavs' Channing Frye told cleveland.com in regards to Handy's message. "Sometimes you get caught up in the moment instead of being reminded of how hard it took to get here and the work you put in to get here. You saw it today. You saw the big difference."

Golden State had better toughen up. They're not the only ones representing Oakland. Handy made sure that message was relayed on Sunday.

"It definitely wasn't normal [for Handy to call them out]," Jefferson told cleveland.com, "but sometimes people step out of their norm and say what they feel needs to be said, and it was definitely something that needed to be said."
