A couple that dived to the Titanic wreck taking a picture on the bow (like the scene in the movie):

i'm calling bullshit on this pic because if i'm not mistaken, the titanic is more than 2 miles deep!

there are only a hand full of subs in the world that can sustain the high pressures at such depths, let alone a human.

a human would be crushed to death at probably half that depth.

AWESOME THREAD BTW!!

Stereoscopic view of a line of African-American soldiers, some in uniform, at a military camp during the American Civil War, early 1860s. The image's title, 'A Group of 'Contrabands',' refers to the status of these men as former slaves who had escaped and joined the conflict on the side of the Union.

Portrait of Civil War 'contrabands,' fugitive slaves who were emancipated upon reaching the North, sitting outside a house, possible in Freedman's Village in Arlington, Virginia, mid 1860s. Up to 1100 former slaves at a time were housed in the government established Freedman's Village in the thirty years in which it served as a temporary shelter for runaway and liberated slaves.

Here is the oldest picture of a human available. You won't see them initially. Here is a grainy blowup of one man cleaning the shoes of another.

It was taken in Paris in 1838 by
by Louis Daguerre.

Redd Foxx and Eartha Kitt at a rally in New York for the Freedom Fighters in Birmingham. Redd was asked to give a speech and when he began he quoted a passage from Genesis. Halfway through he broke down with emotion, over the many injustices being dealt the Freedom Fighters.
