Listen to your cousin Playa.

Go to the theatre, pay that money, see it with fans friends family...

This is it in one word...

Happy.

Death destruction betrayal violence dark...

But it was happy. It was for us, they made a movie for US.

What more you want? It's not perfect but who was looking for that.

I just saw black panther on a big screen 3d packed theatre and got teary eyed.

^^^^ Same here. Just saw it too. In IMAX 3D.

Before I even talk about the movie itself... Black Panther is BEAST.

He was giving out 'that WoRK' to the Winter Soldier & Captain America... At the same damn time.

For those of you who were worried about Black Panther character..... Marvel did right by him.

And Chadwick Boseman absolutely KILLED IT.

From his regal composure & acting... to his serious side.. And his vengeful side... to his action scenes & fighting stunts.. to the Wakandan Technology ... Right Down to his ACCENT... Which sounded very natural & not forced....

They really nailed the Black Panther.
Big salute.

He's everything that old-school comic fans will expect.

Love how he always lands on his feet with deathly silence. Compared to everyone else, he was always like a cotton ball hitting the ground, even during the most intense combat scenes.

The Russo Brothers paid great attention to detail. Outstanding.

Even though it felt more like an Avengers film than a solo Captain America film / or a sequel to the Winter Soldier...

I wouldn't be surprised if this the BIGGEST grossing Marvel movie of all-time, to date.

Yes, it has THAT MUCH potential.

I admit... I was hating on the new Spider-Man coming into this movie because I felt we have seen waaay too many Spidey movies....

But this new kid Tom Holland will most likely go down as the VERY BEST version of Spider-Man we have ever seen on the Silver Screen.

He's that good.

He's younger than the rest... But light-years ahead of them all, in terms of this specific role & his acting talent.

He puts both Toby McGwire & Andrew Garfield to shame.

Honestly, everyone was good and it was action-packed, as usual... But Black Panther & Spider-Man really stole the movie, imo.

Now I'm actually looking forward to seeing a new Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland... in addition to Black Panther's solo debut.

Oh and the way they worked in spidey ...BRILLANT!

How many people realized he and his dad where speaking Zulu .
^^^ I do not speak African, but I was hoping someone on BGOL would pinpoint the exact dialect.

Thanks for the info.

This wasn't Will Smith trying to sound African. :smh:

Boseman's accent (and his Zulu) sounded very authentic to me.

Hopefully others will be able to verify also, after they see the movie.

Black Panther's language: Where Civil War found the words of Wakanda

Black Panther … speaks!

But how, exactly?

As the hero king of Wakanda makes his leap from the comic book pages to the big screen in Captain America: Civil War, the question wasn’t so much what he would say, but which words he should use.

Apart from a handful of terms, T’Challa’s fictional African nation had no differentiated language in the Marvel canon. But its people wouldn’t exactly be speaking English, since part of Wakanda’s lore was that the technologically advanced land had never been conquered.

Chadwick Boseman’s character does speak English throughout the movie to other English-speakers, of course. He’s a statesman, and presumably knows many other languages, too. But for intimate scenes between T’Challa, the prince of Wakanda, and his father, King T’Chaka, directors Joe and Anthony Russo felt the two men should communicate in a native tongue, one that rose up from the continent itself, free of interference from outsiders.

“The language we used for Wakandan is called Xhosa,” Joe Russo tells EW. “John Kani, the actor who plays T’Challa’s father in the movie, speaks the language and taught it to Chadwick. It’s spoken by 7.6 million people in South Africa.”

Xhosa just clicked.

Literally – it’s known as “the clicking language” for its assortment of verbal pops. The name “Xhosa” itself begins with what’s known as the “x click,” or the “horse-riding click,” as explained here:

One of the language’s most noteworthy native speakers was Nelson Mandela, a descendant of the Thembu tribe of the Xhosa people. That means now one of Africa’s most beloved make-believe leaders will forever communicate in the language of one of its most historic real-life ones.

Hi
Quite easy for the reviewers to say it was Xhosa but being a native South African and also a Zulu speaker from birth , I know Zulu when I hear it and when it's being spoken .

Xhosa is similar to Zulu , but that was not Xhosa being spoken by the King and the soon to be black Panther .

Other movies where Zulu was used a Alien language was Star Wars , those furry short people who looked like teddy bears where speaking in Zulu .

Mayne, I didn't even see these reviews, but this movie was straight fucking fire! Was it a perfect 10/10...eeh, there were some flaws, but that shit blows BvS out of the fucking water! I can't go into too many details but the trailer didn't tell the whole story or spoil the whole movie, there were some really great scenes and the story took some turns...... Can't wait for part 2, Black Panther was damn near perfect, I think they watered him down in one fight, but the rest was Great. Go see this movie... Well worth it

This shit is going to break all kinds of fucking records. I literally just left and I got court in probably 6 hours... It was worth it. 10/10

Man.... And to think that at one point, DC had batman v superman set to come out on the same weekend. Hahahahahahahaha
dude they took a STRAIGHT SHOT at DC.

SPOILERS!!!!

Cap: "What Bucky am I speaking to?"

Bucky: "Your mother's name is Sarah."

Falcon: "So what, y'all s'posed to be cool now?

end spoiler

they just told DC to kiss they ass.

I want to join the chorus and sing the praises of the movie but I am shocked that of all the people who have seen the movie has not talked about the ass on T'Challa's bodyguard - she seriously made Scarlett Johansen look like a lil girl.

(have yet to find a picture of the scene on line
