Beagles trade up to the #2 pick

Chip went to Lurie and demanded full control of the team and because he won 10 games his first season, he got what he wanted. Roseman lost power and Chip was given the keys to the franchise. So yes, Chip was fully responsible for those moves.

With that said, this move that Howie made may come back and bite them.
I liked all the moves they made in 2016 prior to this one.

No. He's not. Because all Lurie had to say was NO and there wouldn't have been anything Chip could've done other than either coach the team or quit and never work in the NFL again because he quit.

If you own something you're never at the mercy of an employee unless you have no spine.

Low and behold look at what they did today
So maybe JUST MAYBE this shit wasn't all on chip maybe it was what Lurie actually wanted TOO but its easier to just blame the dude you fired (rightfully so) instead of holding up a mirror and saying he hadn't done shit to demand that much power im the owner why did i let him keep my ball in a jar on his desk?

You don't know Lurie. Lurie is mostly hands-off and lets the people he hires do their job without meddling. In some ways it's good, but in the case of Chip it was a bad decision.

Roseman may be lying, but he claims he's taking a QB.
I'm going to tell you something bro. It's hard for me to stomach a lot of stuff but ultimately there's no proof that dude can or can't play. I'm feeling some kind of way because I really wanted Elliot at 8 butt the QB may turn out to be the real deal. Only time will tell but right now today I'm aggravated as hell. I guess it's the Redskins debacle that has me shook but who knows kid may be a beast

So who derveses blame for this dumb ass trade?? Who would do this AFTER signing Bradford and Daniels to those ridiculous contracts?

It's always bad. If you hire the coach let him coach and then put the other people in their jobs. Like i said, he's the owner he can always say no. If he was powerless Chip would still be coaching the Eagles right now. He has to own up to some of it.
Like now he can't say it was Chip's fault you moved up to number 2 and traded away your future to do it.

team was gutted and you trade away the picks that would help you sure it up

The problem is it won't matter if he's a beast because you have multiple needs you simply cannot address because you don't have picks.
if yall suck this year (i have no clue whether you will or won't) and the browns suck this year (no way to tell) them motherfuckers could have 2 top 5 picks next season lol.

and you won't be able to pick after sucking until the 2nd round and then the 4th round...

To a point bro it does matter. We weren't going to be Super Bowl contenders in the next year two years anyway even with those draft picks. There's no guarantee those draft picks would have panned out again I would have loved to have Elliott but there's no guarantee he would pan out. Don't get me wrong there's a lot more questions to be answered concerning selecting this guy number 2 especially with all the money we have locked them in the position but if he turns out to be a beast the same time frame it would have taken if we had kept their picks and drafted out of it we can still build on it but at least we have that core position lockdown. Only time will tell I'm still pissed off but I'm going to completely Reserve judgement until I see the kids play and see what he can do

Nah fam, 49ers never wanted to draft a QB with the #7 pick. It was just smoke & mirrors. Same thing happened a few years ago. Everyone thought Harbaugh & the 49ers were taking Gabbert in the 1st.....but we took Aldon Smith instead.

49ers are going defense with their 1st rounder. DeForest Buckner or Miles Jack will fall right to us.

I could see this if they don't trade Kap, but something tells me that there is going to be a run on mediocre QBs in the first round this year. And it's mainly because this is one of the first times that I can remember where it is a weak qb draft and weak qb free agent market. Teams are going to make a run on QBs in the 1st and 2nd.... This is why you are seeing trades like this.

I can't see Jerry Jones giving up that much for any player. I agree that the Chargers should be the one to jump on the trade gravy train. But what player(s) is out there worth trading up for?? To be honest, I can see some shenanigans happening on draft day. Who will be the next team to give up a random for one 1st round prospect??

Naw Jery wouldn't trade up but he'd sure trade down. In this case.....Tunsil has been rated the best player in the draft. I don't see Chargers taking him and the Cowboys neither but after that who knows. Some team needs a dominant left tackle. Some team will trade for him because he's slipping due to the stupidity of the draft. If the Titans were smart they'd trade back up for him if the price is right.

It's Howie Roseman. Pederson probably had something to do with the signing of Daniels, but the majority of the decisions are being made by Roseman. He was given full control after Chip was fired.

Eagles only have 1 pick in the top 75 this draft.

That's what's genius about doing all this trading for a QB. You don't have any picks to put around him. But to the Rams credit they have the pieces. Eagirls....not so much. And here I thought they were going to be smart and try and get Elliot.

You do this shit.....that tells me you think Bradford has potential. What if Bradford plays lights out these next two years? You let him walk? I guess you have to in this case.

I feel ya, bruh. I loved the moves Howie made prior to this latest move. Maybe he sees something the rest of us don't. I hope he's right and this isn't his ego.

I'm all for that

I got a feeling Elliott will end up in the east. If that is the case, Id much rather have him land to the Eagles over the Giants..and definitely hope the Cowboys pass on him. At least with the Eagles, all you would have to worry about would be him. I hate the idea of having to gameplan for Elliot and Beckham.. :smh:

Word...I absolutely loved everything he's done up until this point.
And I was excited about this draft and the possibilities of getting Ramsey, Jack, or Elliot..or moving back and collecting more picks. But all that excitement dwindled right now.
Best case scenarios..whoever we take at 2 ends up being one of the most important players for our franchise going forward. eg. Goff or Wentz sit for a lil bit and end up being the franchise QB we've lacked since McNabb. or Ramsey comes in as a solid corner ..2 years later takes jenkins spot at safety and becomes our next dawkins.

or we sit at 2 and on draft day sell the spot to the highest bidder...would be hilarious if Chip and baalke make a call and come up off their 2nd rounder and a gang of other picks

Or.. Sam Bradford plays well, leads PHI to playoffs while Wentz develops under him, Daniel, Frank Reich and Doug Pederson.

He'll definitely have trade value in that case, particularly given the way his contract was structured. Team acquiring him would also have ability to place franchise tag on him.

In this scenario, the hard decision would be do you go for a Super Bowl in the 2017-18 season with Sam, or do you trade him for value and start Wentz if he's ready. Would be a good problem to have.

I hope Elliott falls to #10 so we can pick him up. Dumbass katts in a Giants group on Facebook be talking that we need offensive lineman talk when we already have a left tackle in Flowers & #10 is too high to be drafting a right tackle. If Elliot is gone before our selection then I hope Reese trades down so we can stock up on defensive ends, a wr & a right tackle.

People boo'd McNabb at 2 as well... Never won a chip, had his bad moments, but he was turned out to be the best QB in the history of the team so... Lightening in a bottle twice?

.... shit, I gotta keep hope alive man!

Yup...and the fans was hoping for a rb back then too in Ricky Williams.

I am sure the Chargers can use a left tackle. But, them again, don't they need secondary help? As for Jerry Jones trading down, I agree, especially if he can get a bunch of decent players for cheap.

Shoot...i hope yall draft a right tackle too...

Hustling them fools outta that 2018 2nd rounder was some gangsta shit. They gonna miss that trust me. And they got MASS holes in they roster it ain't like they were a QB away from the going all the way.

That was exactly what I was thinking... I mean Damn.. I don't think I've seen a team give up a pick that's two years down the line. 2018 is going to be just as deep with skill players as 2017. Especially the Wide receiver position. That shit is going to bite them big time. It's really going to hit them next year if the Eagles tank and that number 1 becomes a top 5 pick. Again... the top 10 for 2017 will be :itsawrap:. They aren't the Rams. They have Massive Holes across the board, plus a first time head coach. Man this season will be very interesting. Fucking Philly fans are going to end up going insane... .Probably end up ripping out stadium seating and throwing it on the field. Flinging Babies and shit... Pandemonium.

exactly what massive holes do we have on the roster right now?

Man this is the dumbest shit ever. You already invested 50 something million in two quarterbacks now you trade mad fuckin picks to get another QB? They have so many other needs. This mortgaging the draft for one player never works for the team giving up the farm. That Jew they got running the Eagles is a fuckin clown. :smh:

Not true. Howie has done a great job of filling holes. Sure, we have a few holes, but what team doesn't? But I agree that this may bite us in the ass. Up until this latest move, Howie has made smart moves, but I'm confused by this one.
