to be fair young Jimmy was stealing money but his dad was a mark and the store was destined for failure.
Jimmy's chump change stealing didnt ruin his father, his soft heart did him in.

There is no to be fair when it comes to stealing from your father lol. So what his dad was a mark. So he treats his dad like a mark? So he says at least its his son that's stealing him and putting him in the poor house and not strangers? lol

Jimmy is just a bad guy that's who he is and you just have to be OK with that. I've made my peace with it. No longer upset with the shit he pulls and he's going to pull shit and try and smirk his way out of the situation that he put you in. That's his M.O.

Chuck was lying...to himself

that was not POV that was a genuine flashback.

that DOESN'T mean Saul/Jimmy didn't hustle his OWN father because he thought he was a rube but it shows that Chuck didn't know EVERYTHING that was going on

YES his father was a good man but he was also VERY naive dangerously so.

Then have an intervention. And maybe chuck DID KNOW everything going on. every talking point in that story Chuck mentioned that his father was a good man. Nice. That he was respected and how much he helped and that he was a horrible business man. That could be alluded to the goings on of helping grifters and shit that he's witnessed.

When he looked at the books and THAT MUCH money was missing he KNEW that his father didn't give someone THAT much money lol. He had some help in losing that much money.

Then what? Then pops is giving away money and you try your best to plead with him to not take the money. It's your POPS you don't go "Well since he's giving it away I might as well STEAL the shit from him" lmao

If he was trying to be NOBLE or you want to twist it to some "at least" type of shit then he'd have SAVED the money that was missing and had it to bail him out of debt because he knew the day was coming. Put it aside for the exact purpose.

Is that what he did? NOPE.
we'll see - you are assuming a lot... this show is too well written to assume anything until the writers show it to you... Jimmy pocketed money lets see what comes of it

14k over 2 years or so is EASY if you are losing $20 a day / 5 days a week
and Chuck said a number much larger than 2 years IIRC

Losing $10 a day for approx a year would put him in the hole $3,500 or so. Compassion is the enemy of a true capitalist

His pops was beating himself, if you've ever tried to help someone with an addiction you know you're helpless until they "choose" to change. But they have to accept they have a problem first... Jimmy's father was in denial.

We know Chuck has mental issues and has an axe to grind against Jimmy. We know Jimmy's dad was gullible and gave money away. And we know Jimmy stole a dollars as a kid.

That's all we've seen about Jimmy's embezzlement in the father's business still have a tough time buying Chuck story.

Just watched it again. Noticed that Jimmy's dad had poker chips by the register. Is it possible he had a gambling problem too?

death. death comes with it lol
they showed him taking the money after we were sit pondering if he actually did it or not. we're gonna keep changing the argument until he takes a brown sack tied up with a money sign on it and then say OK THAT'S WHAT DID IT lol

last week it was his brother just hating. this week its let's just say he took this little amount or it was just a one time thing

Rationalizing how much and how insignificant amount of money the THEFT is.
Now you're assuming a grifter came in and took $10 off of him 5 days a week over 2 years lol

His pops was beating himself none of this is in dispute. Jimmy's brother said his father was a dunce when it came to this type of shit. He said it. He said his father was a good man who always tried to help people and a horrible businessman. That scene described that perfectly.

But none of that has to do with Jimmy taking money from him.

That's like saying your brother's wife is a nympho and she's in denial about it so you just fuck her cause until she gets the help she need she won't change. might as well fuck her right?

Like i said. Until you see a big ass sack with a dollar sign on it nobody is going to buy that the guy who was introduced as a crook on breaking bad, who cuts corners and tries to get over EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of this series... stole a significant amount of money.

It's the belief that you want him to be good. He's not. Just be OK with him not being good. Let him being so bad be charming.

I don't want anything in this story - if Jimmy was the cause of the 14k deficit :dunno: its like Tony Soprano I'll be disappointed or disgusted but I'm still invested in the story...

What many have been saying to you is the writing in this series is tight - so assume nothing until the writers put it in front of you. When I showed how easy it was to get 14k by losing 10 -20 a day - its just that - how easy a little bit adds up - is it Jimmy or his pops? we'll see

And at the same time the writing in the story shows you that Jimmy is just a bad guy flat out and has been his entire run as this character but somehow we keep giving everything the benefit of the doubt.

I don't want to believe it. But it would be consistent with his entire character. And this show is built on being true and consistent.

we'll see how much. for now the tally is $4.

no - $8
these guys over the course of this and BB have been fluid with the plot / character twists

I understand your position and I think we agree
hell that is what breaking bad was BASED on
remember EVERYONE hated Skye like she was the lying thieving murdering drug dealing kingpin
just cause she refused to go along initially

However I think the real cool thing Gilligan is doing here is showing PERSPECTIVES.

We are being shown someone who essentially was ASKING to be robbed a vic someone who Saul/Jimmy NEVER wanted to be.

But Chuck IDOLIZED (and left to go to school and seems didn't really check in that much)

the ONLY thing we can PROVE is Chuck is a petty bastard who think he is BETTER then everyone else because he went to law school

Saul isn't a scumbag...yet

Wait a minute actually why is SAUL a VILLAIN here?

What did Saul do in so far? hell in during Breaking Bad that showed he was a VILLAIN?

Was he shady as f*ck hell yeah.

But he was gaming a corrupt system and USUALLY helping those who COULDN'T help themselves.

But who did he KILL?

Yeah he grifted and cheated but grifter code is an HONEST man is NEVER cheated because he wanted to get over...that is WHY he got conned in the first place.

And honest man would just walk away.

Chuck/Jimmy's dad is gullible not a good hearted man who wanted to believe the best in everyone...he was naive.

There is a difference.

His OWN SON told him not to trust that man and he IGNORED him and LEFT him with a CASH REGISTER WITH MONEY alone with him?

What that mean?

I am NOT caping Saul and never caped Heisenberg but it is true that UNDERSTANDING the villain HUMANIZES him

but I think there DEGREES to the bad...aint NO BODY got clean hands here and that is what is great about this show (although at times that can get very frustrating I think Mad Men got to be way to depressing when every single person was essentially a self absorbed ass)

Funny, I completely understand Chuck and hate his f*cking guts...but I UNDERSTAND.

The only 'good person' on the show is Kim
My arguement is Chuck's assertion that Jimmy is the reason their dad lost the store and subsequently died.

When the blame is actually with the father who from what we saw didnt have what it takes to run a succesful business. He was literally chasing some down who basically robbed him.

and jimmy didn't try to help he added to the problem and sped up the process. even if it was $5 a week. it still counts.
i don't like nor trust chuck but i could see jimmy doing it. and then they showed jimmy doing it.

They rocked the Dennis Coffey "Scorpio"from yhe Queen Latidah joint.

Great fucking song. I play bass as a hobby. If I can ever master that solo I have achieved the peak of greatness.

I have played that song at a MILLION different gigs. The last was a bar contest to see who could drink beer out of a baby bottle the fastest

yeah him and Jimmy too both upto some thing- guess we'll see next week

My guess, the changed documents will cause Chuck to fuck up the filing which will cause Mesa Verde will take their business back to Kim. She won't find out for a while, but once she does she'll leave Jimmy square on his ass.

Mike's homemade tire spike looks like something straight out of the anarchist's cookbook. I don't know what the fuck he's up to.

Fuckin hatin ass chuck, I wish they build a cell tower right next to his house

I'm not mad at chuck at the moment. He's still a bitch to the highest degree but saying he appreciated jimmy and trying to keep a client shouldn't land him on the shitty list this week
Actually nobody was shitty this week. Pretty good setup episode.

man fuck chuck

dude literally dragged himself out of the office to screw Kim to get Jimmy.
thats some pettty ass shit for some that always stays on his high horse. But slipppin jimmy got something for him

and wtf is Mike planning?

I bet Mike the 1 that fucked up Tucos uncle and put his azz in that wheelchair ringing that damn bell.. Mike knows they ain't nothing nice... getting the old man's everyday routine down..this show is finally getting interesting

Saul still has a lil love for his grimey azz
brother though..

This is exactly what I was thinking

as a professional (CPA & CFA charterholder), every Kim scene grabs my attention.

that Kim restaurant scene with Mesa Verde was amazing. it reminded me of this Eric Thomas motivational
