Golden State Warriors fans.... Uh Oh?!?!?!?!

not yet.
he ain't even in his prime yet he's 27
Unless he grows about 6 inches, starts defending the other teams best player, starts grabbing boards, diving after every loose ball and still can play the other end of the floor at an all star level......... Not likely. But today, non of the other stuff gets any love. Just offense. So to this generation he will be better than Bird. But I grew up watching that era, so that other stuff still counts.

You might have to bow him in the throat or rough him up cuz there is no way to gaurd him..I think it's impossible cuz he can pick up the dribble and flick his wrist and shit is quick mind you and he might get angry like Jordan or Kobe if you play physical on him and bust ya ass for fitty.

All eyes on Steph...

Ok convice me what makes Bird so great. Im a football guy so tell me what makes Bird better than say Tim Duncan, Karl Malone is Magic Johnson? Or give me a reason why you would choose him over the players mentioned.
Well, for starters... Malone shouldnt be mentioned with Magic or Duncan (or Bird). I wouldnt take Bird over those two. But Malone aint on that level.

covering him from half court takes a lot of fucking energy man

thats much easier said than done

yall want cats to be exhausted by the half lol
Thats the thing tho... It'll take something out of SC too. It aint ideal, and it aint easy. But he gets too many fucking open and free shots. We know his range begins at half court. Pick him up!!

lol
he just creates a shot for every other player on the court when he's on it. they give people wide open layups regularly so he can't shoot a 3.
yea not too shabby i guess.

Don't know how old you are... But you might want to YouTube Bird before you say that. Bird was a cold muthafucka, and I can't stand anything Boston.

What the fuck is YouTube gonna show? A bunch of highlight without showing his flaws? I'm sure Bird is a Top 20 player of all time but I'm more impressed with Magic Johnson's career.

LMAO

Nigga is u serious?

He ain't all league defense but come on man

Dead serious. Steph is the best offensive player in the league. But as I said in a previous post. I grew up in a time where the "extra" stuff was what you did. Today's NBA it doesn't factor into the equation when it comes to being great. Which is fine. No hate. But when you hear people, especially people 30 and above put the qualifier "best shooter, best offensive player" that's what we're talking about. It's not hate, or shade. We just have a different outlook on it.

People shitting on Bird, but I'll say this, in the past 30 years, Bird is definitely on my starting 5 no question. White boys was a cold blooded killer! Steph is on another level, but I'd take Bird over all but 4 motherfuckers who have suited up in the past 30 years...

What yall cats fail to realise is LBJ almost took these clowns out by his self with tristan thompson, delly, and mozgov, shumpert shoulder was broke JR was slumping hard in the finals. no kEVIN LOVE TOP 5 PF NO IRVING TOP 5 PG lets hit fast forward and just say every one is healthy in the finals

LBJ will probably average 35+10-10 nobody in the world can stop him we know that!

Kevin Love will drop 3's and clean up the boards with tristan and post up when he feels like it T lue is using him the way blatt was supposed to.

Kyrie singled handly defeated the spurs a year or two ago with an amazing performance when kyrie is motivated you cant stop him or stay in from of him.

JR swish is tops in 3point shooting this year not to mention he will smack up curry and clay a few times nobody really ever put curry on his ass before which is a must.

Shump one of the best defenders in the league

lets not forget delly had currys ass in check for a good part of the finals till he fainted, today he still that gritty defender and can knock down the 3's and drive a lil bit

Richard jefferson is solid off the bench he will give you 15 and smart play

frye will open lanes for LBJ and irving to dive in and drop open shots when they double whoever

i cant beleve yall niggas dont see the upset coming! my cavs aint really giving a shit right know they just waiting till june

on paper who is more talented you gotta say CLEVELAND

Karl Malone is 2nd all time in NBA scoring right? Educate me where do you have Bird in your Top NBA players of all time list?

why is he (PG) even being compared to bird (F) on some all-around shit?

because that's where we are. dudes didn't watch him until now and can't wait to try and tear him down. oh well he has to play d and get rebounds like bird and all of this shit. he's a point guard

the nigga is #1 in points.
#10 in assists
and #5 in steals
that sounds like what the fuck a point guard is supposed to do?
3rd in 3 point % which is incredible because he's shot more 3 pointers than the 1st person and the 2nd person on the list COMBINED
and he's made more than the #1 and 2 on the list percentage wise COMBINED
shoots 51% from 2
AND 91% from the free throw line

but niggas talking about oh he don't snatch down 10 rebounds as a point guard

no it won't cacaladova tried that irritant shit last year remember? curry decided to get the ball in his hands and proceeded to break that cac down until he backed off.

Stephen Curry could be the player to thwarts everyone's fascination with the #23. Since Jordan's retirement it seems like everyone wants the 23 on their jersey. Stephen's going to change that. He kepts this up,kids and future league players are going to be rocking 30's like 23.

Someone said he was better than Bird... Not Magic... Not Jordan... Not Reggie... Not Chuck... Larry... So that's who I'm talking about. No dis, if you don't remember Larry, and how cold he was. That's fine. Just sit this one out. But if you remember him growing up, you know he was every bit as good as we say he was. That's all. Nothing against Steph. It was a different Era, that required a different set of skills, and had different qualifications for being called "great."

I hear what you are saying, but you guys are really reaching at this point. I grew up watching the same era you talk about, and frankly, all of the diversive negative connotations concerning this era against that era are over blown and really a reach attempt that fails miserably. As much as you guys try to discredit this era for not being a 'tough' era, THAT era was also full of limited to below average talent who kept a job because they were enforcers, instead of basketball players. So, THIS era is more representative of the game of BASKETBALL in the purest form than back then.

As far as Curry 'playing no defense' or not doing the 'other' things... Please show me outside of a game or two where he's been seriously roasted, AND if his steals which ranks him 4-5 in the league are discounted, CP3, Westbrook and everybody elses should be too. There are a handful of pure on the ball shut down defenders, so again, that is really just a weak attempt to discredit him

In addition to his shooting exploits, he's averaging 6.6 assist, 5.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals and has the highest PER in the league... the player universally considered the best on the planet until now, LeBron averages 6.6 assist and 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals and has a 26.49 PER....

What OTHER things are you talking about Bruh?!

Karl Malone is 2nd all time in NBA scoring right? Educate me where do you have Bird in your Top NBA players of all time list?
Malone was a great player. But he was a system guy..Played his entire career running pick and rolls with the all time assist leader in league history.

Bird one of a handful of players ever to shoot 90% from the line, 50% from the field and 40% from three.. and only to do it averaging dam near 30, 10, 8. Cac was raw as fuck bro.

I dont think you will find a serious top 10 all time list with his name not on it. Nor will you find a serious one WITH Malones name on it.
