guys why do yall say Zoom can transform into people? Or did I miss something. I think what I saw was that Zoom is Jay Garrick from another earth. I think they are just using the name Hunter Zolomon to throw people off, since Hunter Zolomon was a reverse flash in the comics and Eobard Thawn was also a version of the revers flash who also went by the name Professor Zoom. I dont think its Hunter Zolomon because he would be from Earth 1 and would have known about everything the Flash has been doing and he would have been his first target for capturing his speed.
Zoom being Jay from the future makes sense too. Since he is faster than flash he would be able to time travel. It would also explain how he already knew about flash.
yeah but all the info we have about hunter zolomon came from jay though, when caitlin couldnt find anything on him in earth one. He couldve just lied about him knowing caitlin would prob never check. Btw zoom is hunter zolomon says the showrunner

Supposedly this Hunter is from Earth 3 but only Savitar could exhibit powers like he has so far. Hunter wasn't even a main or huge character in Flash.....wonder how this shit will play out and Jay went out like a punk.
When he spelled with morse code out Jay last week I thought that what they were pushing the viewers to believe. It's going to be interesting seeing how all of this plays out.

Fans have been speculating about the identity of “The Flash’s” villainous Zoom since Season 2 began, but the truth proved to be even more shocking than we could’ve predicted: the man we’ve come to know as Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) — beloved by comic book fans as the first iteration of The Flash in the Golden Age of comics — was revealed to be Zoom, aka Hunter Zolomon… Seconds after dumping the body of the man who appeared to be Jay Garrick on the ground back on Earth-2. Buthow? For that reveal, we’ll sadly have to wait until after “The Flash” returns from its mini-hiatus on March 22.
Our suspicions were raised after Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) attempted to track down Jay’s Earth-1 counterpart in the Jan. 26 episode “The Reverse-Flash Returns” (a title that has now taken on a poetic double meaning) only to discover that “Jay Garrick” didn’t exist on our Earth, and instead, Jay’s doppelganger was a man named Hunter Zolomon — the alter ego of Zoom in DC Comics canon.
While fans may be forgiven for thinking that the Zoom storyline seems eerily reminiscent of last season’s twist, which revealed that the Reverse Flash, Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), had assumed the identity of scientist Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) in order to gain the trust of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells Variety that the parallel is entirely by design.
“For us, it could only happen because of what happened last season,” Kreisberg explains. “For Barry and the others, as much as they were stung by Wells/Thawne’s betrayal, he had been their mentor and friend and they all felt that vacuum when he was gone. Jay had been watching them and knew that so he was able to masterfully step into the role each of them needed. He became a friend and mentor to Barry. A love interest to the heartbroken Caitlin. He skillfully played them all.”
The twist is particularly surprising given Jay’s iconic status in the DC universe, but Kreisberg says that fan expectations helped conceal their master plan for Zoom. “We knew there’d be a fair amount of the audience who would know who Jay Garrick was and would take the character and anything he said at face value because of his past history,” he points out. “With this, we were better able to hide the ball as it were as to Zoom’s true identity. Who would suspect the big bad was the classic hero from the comics?”
To learn more about Zoom’s endgame, we’ll have to wait until “The Flash” returns to The CW with all new episodes on March 22.

I noticed something I ignored earlier that I missed. When watching YouTube clips of Zoom he does not need a portal to travel between earths. The portals were at specific locations but zoom would appear anywhere.
Also based on information it seems like Jay is not Zoom. It looks like Zoom may have sent another speedster to capture the flash and he accidentally killed Jay and that is why he said "this will complicate things".
Also Teddy Sears which is Jay is set to Co star in 24 legacy on fox.

Yeah after an ally in Wells being the Reverse Flash last season you would think they have done something different. But regardless i'm still very much looking forward to everything.

If they can use the Velocity 6 and Speed force thing to make like a Jeckell & Hyde thing...
it might work.
Because EVERY solution for the Flash can't be just run FASTER...
adding a more science based solutions more like the comic would be beneficial for the show overall.
Is Jay an identical twin ? on both Earth's
The way they've been setting up Wally West 1) He loves speed and 2) He seemingly being jealous of Barry would have made him being Zoom PERFECT! Jay is played out we've seen him(or fake him or whatever) we don't need another version of his story. The Wally angle would have made for a much much more interesting and FRESH storyline going forward. Think about it Wally on Earth 1 calling Flash a Punk and Coward dynamics playing in the background (Wally vs. Barry Earth 1). While Zoom(Distorted Wally) vs. Flash (Barry Allen) thing going on too. The kicker in both worlds neither knows the others secret.
Technically we have 3 speeders in one Universe..Our Barry, Wally West and Jesse Quick that's too damn much good guys. I would have made Zoom a distorted face/bigger size Wally West who didn't know that Barry Allen is The Flash.

Jessie is going to get back to her earth 2 at some point. Even when she does get her speed I don't think she'll get it soon. Same goes for Wally. Hopefully the Flash show runners have learned from Arrow about over crowding the show with characters.

That's the thing with me i don't think shows generally benefit from brining back previous people in "new" roles. They got away with it with Wells because "well"(get it?) he's a fantastic actor. Eddies gone..let him rest in peace..up until yesterday Jay was Dead(supposedly) now they bring him back as ZOOM?..arggh! The actor playing Jay is not that memorable and of course Zoom is memorable because of the Klingon...wait ya'll ain't know? Who Worf's brother was? Kurn of the house Mogh:

you GOTTA give the producers credit for GREAT castings for that.
And I think Jay being so milquetoast actually worked on a Capt America level

I think it will work out...they have been so consistent I gotta respect them.
But so far I don't like it...but now Wally will NEVER EVER trust anyone outside Joe
and I like that dynamic.
And I think its good for the audience to feel like they GOT one right...
and STILL have the twist of essentially 3 versions of Jay.
As long as its not some Back to the Future 2 level confusion it should work out.
Oh for sure! Nothing but props for what the producers have done so far and I'm sure they have an end game. Hell, it might turn out much much better than what I cooked up. But this is the part where it gets dangerous..the back half of the show. Now you gotta sell what you've been cooking..Now you gotta really convince us how and why this Jay reveal makes sense and works. The story has to be solid or else it takes away from damn near everything you've done so far regarding the Zoom character. Instead of going down as one of those iconic TV Villians he goes in the other forgetful-wasted-potential pile.

Tonight’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow was a particularly fun one for fans of The CW’s sector of the DC Universe, as the titular squad spent the hour within the in-ruins city limits of Star City in the year 2046. There, we got a peek at one old face (complete with a beard) and two new faces, including that of Green Arrow 2.0Connor Hawke. But in a twist that was totally unexpected (despite everything being expected in this anything-goes universe), we learn that Connor Hawke wasn’t this vigilante’s given name at all. He was actually born John Diggle, Jr.
What the what? It looks like at some point in the years after Rip Hunter swooped everyone into his ship and took off on this time-skipping adventure, John and Lyla Diggle felt it was appropriate to start conceiving again to give Sara Diggle a younger sibling. And the product of said conception, an act which hopefully did not involve Diggle’s helmet, was apparently destined to carry on his father’s name and part of his father’s legacy. Only this guy doesn’t feel like he’s worthy of using Diggle as his surname, and he thus takes on the alter ego Connor Hawke, which sounds like a devastatingly under-thought pseudonym by a dim reincarnation of Hawkman.
Admittedly, this wasn’t the most jaw-flooring surprise, even when compared to otherLegends of Tomorrow shocks. But there’s still a strange mental exercise that happens when one processes how things have changed in a fictional world they’re invested in, and there’s something downright sad in comprehending Diggle dying at some point in the 30 years between our present day and Star City 2046. Now, this future likely won’t even come to being if the super crew does what they intend to do in taking down Vandal Savage, so it’s definitely not set in stone that Diggle and Lyla will still bring the second-generation Green Arrow into the world. Or that Oliver will end up needing his robotic arm.
All in all, it’s a pretty perfect way to spin this temporary storyline. While Connor Hawke is both Oliver’s Green Arrow successor and his son in the comics, we knew that couldn’t happen on the show thanks to all that secret son business happening on Arrow this season. So what better way to introduce this new hero than by tying him to one of Oliver’s closest compadres. It not only shows us that Team Arrow can prevail through anything, but also that all Oliver needed was to be told “You can do it,” in order to save the day.
And do it they did, as both Green Arrows took out nuevo Deathstroke and spoke of their intentions to continue building Star City back up to what it once was. Again, these guys probably won’t exist in the normal timeline, but at least we know they’re out there at some point in time, honoring the Diggle name by way of delivering justice. Now if Connor could just lend Oliver the Green Clippers.
I think Hunter Zoloman and Jay Harrick are Twins on both earths,Seperated at Birth and raised with different familys.
The guy in the mask is earth 2 Jay garrick. The guy who zoom killed was earth 1 hunter zoloman who had never been a speedster which is why caitlins test showed what it did. He had agreed to infiltrate team (when he 1st turned up he was taking taking photos as if he was doing recon) flash and to get them to perfect the velocity serum to supposedly get his speed back .
The guy in the park was earth 1 jay garrick who is oblivious to everything so far.
I think earth 1 hunter showed him to caitlin to convinvce her to stop looking for his double.
I believe earth 1 hunter agrees to help zoom as he really is dying and there are healing properties with the speed force.
I think zoom killed him by accident and that is why he saw it as a complication as he was his agent on earth 1.
Lastly i also believe that it was earth 2 harrison wells who originally helped make the velocity formula that made earth 2 hunter a speed addict(Earth 1 Hunter always seemed uneasy around wells as if he didnt want to give away that he was an imposter).
Perhaps agreeing to be a geniuea pig for wells in an obsession to be better than his twin Jay Garrick that already was a speedster.
The reason im going for the twin angle is there has been a long lost brother story line in the comics but i think it was barrys brother being stolen as a baby and raised as a thawne or something like that.
Also this season had a big theme about family and sibling rivalry so the jealous twin brother fits.

Havent seen any of the stars filming around the area..? for either this or any of the other shows(Arrow,LoT,IZombie etc)
