Just implement a more modern message board period. A "like" function. The ability to "chat". A far better search mechanism. E-Mail updates whenever someone responds to your post. The ability to reply directly to a post. Things that ANY modern forum would have.

Recovering our old posts from before the 04 purge.

Banning pics and vids of white porn stars from the main board, only women of color can be posted.

Require everyone to sign-in through facebook/google+, or some other site to verify identities.

I would bring the business board back. I'd use the format that LSAlley has. It seems that liking posts and giving and adding rep points seems to keep people interested in something without it devolving. Sometimes i just like what someone said in a post instead of posting to the thread and having to write something. Fair across the board moderation. Keeping posts where they belong as well. Most boards i'm on if there's a post that doesn't belong in the general section. Move it to the proper section.
 
Bring back the deals section.....

And yeah an Upload feature instead of having to go thru 3rd party sites
 
Resolve whatever is causing database and service errors or eliminate the annual access fees. Its not fair to charge for a service that runs as poorly as BGOL.

Get rid of the old dedicated servers.

Move from Vbulletin to XenForo (What a modern forum looks and acts like --> http://www.affiliatefix.com/).

Setup a HAProxy VPS frontend with a bunch of cheap VPSs for the backend running php-fpm instances. It's 2015. You can have clustering on the cheap.

Different membership levels (Free/Basic/Premium).

Automated paid advertising system.

all these requests we're asking for my as well be farts in the wind tho :hmm:
 
1. Improve the search function to find more exact terms and allow deeper searches of BGOL. (This will eliminate a lot of unnecessary threads and post request)

2. Allow senior members to control the change of user titles.

3. I like the reputation button idea it's a good way to show thanks. (It could also be used to limit lurkers and link killers by requiring members to have certain reputation count in order to view or download certain things. This encourages participation)
 
I would love to see a section dedicated to real "instagram" pics of chicks, for those of us that don't have social media and wants to go directly to women pictures...

The ability to get alerts when certain members create a new thread...
 
ya I've seen boards where if you make a comment and ppl "like" it...the names of the posters c/sing it or liking it will show underneath the post
