@@@Official Cavs thread 2014-2015@@@

With no big men attacking the base line and no Love to pull one of the big centers out, all the big men on the Bulls are doing is camping under the basket daring them to drive in the teeth of the defense while their guards are keying on the three point shooting guards..
For those who question the value of Love, this game is a perfect example of roll he plays for this team,. allowing them to pull at least one big man out from the paint...

True.... Wade ain't play last night, game would've been a lot closer lmaoo

But nah love is a horrible defender in the post.. Pau, Gibson and Noah would've eaten him alive and gotten him in foul trouble.

Bulls have more size up front that Cleveland... Cavs wasn't winning this game even if love and tmo out there...

The foul trouble would have been the same in tmo... Bulls deeper than the cavs..

Come playsoffs gonna be interesting how they match with the wizards, ATL and the bulls..

The way they beat them with Love is that Love is able to pull either Noah or Gasol away from the paint, leaving only one big man to defend vs James and Irving, with out Love they have both big men protecting the paint and grabbing twice the rebounds..

Plus by playing small the Cavs are forced to do more collapsing and doubling up vs the post causing someone to be open in the perimeter.. With Love there is no need to collapse in the paint allowing them to play more strait up..
The problems the Cavs are having with this small lineup is the same problems I said the Hawks will have vs the Bulls, to beat the Bulls you have to have at least three productive big guys you can go with, today the Cavs only had 1 and a half..

That's dependent on if Love hitting them outside shots.. If not dude is sauce

T Mo being in foul trouble fucked up the groove. Plus, even if Love isn't hitting, he is controlling the glass. He has nice rebound totals against the Bulls this year. Cavs lead the season series 2-1.

Love killed them the last game they played... Actually the Bulls bigs are not that good, they are just tall, and you have to be tall physical and able to box them out if not they will gobble you up with the rebounds and 2nd chance points..
If you are small, you have no chance of beating them, this is the reason why the Warriors got ate up by them..

He doesn't have to hit at all, the reason why he misses is because he is often guarded close on the perimeter, give him that shot he will shoot you out the gym..
As long as you are defending him, your big man is pulled out the paint. This is what he brings to the team..

Pooh came out to play... Ninja slowed down his game and picking his shots... That's not good for the opposing teams

Pooh looked great. Too bad his body won't hold up for a entire series. That cat going to be sitting on a block of ice for the entire weekend because of tonight.

If the Bulls shoot like that most nights they're 40+ wins by now
The Bulls are a funny team, they are the opposite of the Hawks, they beat you with size and most teams are not built to beat them... You need three good big guys to beat them and in todays game you are lucky to find teams with 2.. But what makes them funny, is that they will often lose to a regular team just as long as they have the proper height..

U post a lot in this thread...werent u a Heat fan last year?

The sports fandom on BGOL is on some weirdo shit every year.

Cant pick a side and stick with it....
I swear....LBJ's aura got yall niggas by the nuts.

Man you full of shit:lol:

When we told you how the Hawks would pull the Cavs big out of the paint you made excuses.

But the Hawks would have the same problem the Cavs had last night in terms of rebounding .. Its one thing pulling a big man out with another big man shooting the ball and doing it with a undersized powerforwrd.. If you do it with a big man, and the other team decides to guard him with a smaller player, then you can flip the script by putting Love in the paint to post up his man... Not only can Love stretch the floor and open lanes, he also is one of the best rebounders in the game that stops the opposition from playing goofy ball (a team with two big men camping under the basket tapping the ball in after bad missed shots) with out Love and T-Mo out the game the Cavs was forced to rebound by committee by everyone crashing the boards, by doing that they often left the perimeter shooter open and took away.
With a smaller PF you still going to get ate up on defense trying to deal with the trees and eventually in a 7 game series Goofy ball is going to win over sharp three point shooting, because with Goofy ball, you score when your three point shooters are hot, and score when they are throwing up big time bricks.
I said this way before last nights game, if you don't have the proper bigs, the Bulls can beat you by 10 even though you shot 10% higher than them from the field..
With Love in the lineup the Cavs is able to prevent that Goofy ball shit and instead of collapsing in the paint to help out the big men, the guards would be free to defend against the perimeter shots, while putting pressure on the guards to stay honest due to the threat the freed up guards and James would have to leak out after a made rebound and look for the full court pass, something they were not able to do crashing the ball by committee.

When you play against the Bulls folks have to realize you are really going up against two centers, two sf and rose... Butler is really a sf.... There are times with Mirotic or Gibson in the game you are going against two centers a PF, SF and a G..
And if they play Butler and Snell along with Mirotic and Gibson they would really be playing 2 C's, 1 PF, and 2 SF... Only a few teams can match the size of that lineup, the Cavs with Love, T-Mo. Thompson, James, Shumpert, JR and Irving is one of them... With out Love it puts them at a great handicap vs bigger teams.

Tony snell was taking niggas to the rack

That's our baby Kawahi leonard

They went to the same high school and played with each other

Told YALL he a beast

We can match up with that shitty cavs line up

Don't let us pick up Ray ray

:itsawrap:
Sure Snell was going to the rack this game, this is what happens when the team is forced to trap and collapse in the paint.. Like I said, Noah and Gasol numbers will never kill you, its the attention that smaller teams have to give towards them, that opens shit up for other players like Butler, Rose and Snell..
This is why they can beat a team like the Warriors and look like all world, then turn around and lose to a team like the Lakers , Heat and the Jazz...
The Heat and the Cavs (last game) were able to dominate the Bulls by simply playing them head up, with no rotation or collapsing in the paint, as the result the Bulls big men were neutralized down in the paint, while the guards were matched up one on one forcing them to create their own shots, and the failed..
But if you cant play their bigs one on one in the paint, then that shit opens up the flood gates..

Pooh > all them guards tho

If pooh is in God mode

Nobody is stopping us
Those guards was helping in the paint vs the big men getting pulled in, plus they was crashing the boards trying to help Tristan with the rebounds, freeing up Rose, Snell and the rest..
Rose didn't put up the numbers when he was guarded one on one and not that zone defense they was forced to play yesterday..

I am not trying to sell Love as the most import Cav player, but he is a very intricate member against three teams in the NBA, Memphis, Indiana and the Bulls... And out of all the games he had to be injured, it was against a team that they really needed his services...

If the bulls get Ray and pick yo Amare if the snicks buy him out it's a wrap

Not really, the game plan would still be the same, you guard the big men one on one then you guard Ray, Rose and who ever with bigger guards..
Ray has always been the type of player that kills you with the rotations or if you are forced to go into a zone (the Heat got him as a zone buster after what happened vs the Mavs).
But the Cavs had no problems with the Bulls front line in the two previous games and even the one preseason game, not once was they forced to switch to a zone or play LeBron at PF..

The Bulls are like a NFL team with a big offensive line and qb or wr's and when they play against smaller teams they have to stack the box, allowing the qb and the wrs to kill them only because there is no one out there to guard them..
Now once they play against a team with a good defensive line, then that shit they pull with the wr and qb won't fly, because a good defensive team wouldn't have to stack the box to keep their running game honest, thus freeing up their defenders to play the wr's correctly..

Don't get it twisted, Goofy ball works, just ask the Lakers, because they won their last two championships playing that Goof ball with Gasol and Bynum...
You notice how Gasol got exposed when he had to play center by himself..
The key is you have to have a 2nd big guy to neutralize Noah, then you can deal with Gasol and the rest of them one on one..

Cavs best rebounder isn't playing and Moz is in foul trouble and folks wonder why the Cavs lost. Even if Love is off, you still are covering him because there is a chance he hits. And when he isn't hitting, he still is getting around 12 boards against the Bulls. Moz being in foul trouble just compounded the issues.

This was also a back-to-back game for the Cavs. Lebron looked out of it. Not Kyrie's best night. Just a perfect shitstorm.

Cavs still up 2-1.

That said, Bulls are a problem in the playoffs. I don't see anyone in the East beating them but the Cavs. Their style of basketball is perfect for the post-season.
