~Miami Heat 2014-2015 Official Thread - Reload not Rebuild~

I know, its been so that Napier is getting run....

There's definitely a youth movement going in down there...

Tyler Johnson is on a 10 day contract...
Whiteside has emerged as a player, while just being active(no sets/plays really for him)...
Napier is getting minutes while the Heat is listening to calls for Cole(likely to Hornets)...
Ennis plays here and there but have been seeing solid minutes over the last week...

youth movement.....well then they need to get rid of Deng and get some super serum for Wade

All the reports of his offseason regimen have not borne out

Hassan Whiteside helped the Miami Heat survive another poor outing by Chris Bosh.

Miami may need another big performance from its blossoming center with Dwyane Wade out again Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons.

The Heat (21-26) avoided a third straight loss with Sunday's 83-75 win at Boston, though they still struggled offensively, going 4 of 21 from 3-point range and committing 20 turnovers. They have shot 41.8 percent while splitting the last six games.

Whiteside had another strong game with 20 points on 10-of-17 shooting while adding nine rebounds and three blocked shots. He has averaged 14.2 points and 11.3 rebounds over his last nine games after previously averaging 5.3 points and 4.9 boards in limited minutes.

"He continues to surprise me," Bosh said. "He's a talented young fellow. We want to continue to push him and encourage him to play and do well."

While Whiteside has led Miami in scoring in two straight, Bosh has totaled 30 points on 11-of-37 shooting in that span. He has shot 56.9 percent over his last 10 trips to Detroit, however.

Wade, averaging team highs of 21.4 points and 5.4 assists, is expected to miss a third straight game with a strained right hamstring while Luol Deng (14.3 ppg) is questionable with a strained calf despite practicing Monday.

"It was a lot better today," Deng, who has missed the last three games, said according to the team's official Twitter account. "Now we just have to see how it feels tomorrow morning."

The Pistons (18-30) snapped a four-game losing streak in Saturday's 114-101 home win over Houston. They shot 50.0 percent after going a season-worst 23 of 75 (30.7 percent) in Wednesday's 89-69 loss at Philadelphia.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 12 of his season-high 28 in the fourth quarter, while D.J. Augustin also had 28 points with a season-high 12 assists in Detroit's first win since losing Brandon Jennings to a ruptured Achilles tendon on Jan. 24.

"He was tremendous. He really was," coach Stan Van Gundy said of Augustin. "He was on the attack, right from the start of the game on, and that's big for us."

While rookie Spencer Dinwiddie played 11 minutes backing up Augustin, the Pistons tried to fortify their point guard depth without Jennings by signing John Lucas III to a 10-day contract Monday. He averaged 26.6 points in 26 games with the Chinese Basketball Association's Fujian Sturgeons and 4.8 points over six NBA seasons with four different teams.

It's unclear if Lucas will play Tuesday.

"It's very possible," Van Gundy told the team's official website. "We'll have to see how it goes. All we know for sure is D.J. is going to be our guy and play the vast majority of the minutes, but how the other minutes go we'll just have to see."

Miami, which is 13-11 on the road compared to 8-15 at home, has won 17 of 20 meetings going back to Feb. 24, 2009, and is 9-1 at Detroit in that span. Eight of the last nine meetings have been decided by double digits.

Man at one point this game was ties at 11

Man it this team can get healthy & bosh start hitting his shots at a slightly higher percent some noise could be made...

Heat-Timberwolves Preview

After opening their road trip with a victory, the Miami Heat couldn't keep their momentum going at the next stop.

They'll try to get back in the win column by adding to their dominance over the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves but likely won't have Dwyane Wade available again Wednesday night.

Miami (21-27) defeated Boston 83-75 on Sunday to start its four-game trek but couldn't slow down Detroit in a 108-91 loss Tuesday. The Pistons took command early by outscoring the Heat 33-12 in the opening quarter and ended the period on a 25-1 run.

"They played at a much harder competitive pace than we did and that set the tempo for the game on both ends of the court," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "They had us on our heels from the beginning. We could never get our footing from there."

Miami got Luol Deng back after a three-game absence due to a strained left calf, but Wade missed his third straight game because of an ailing right hamstring. He'll reportedly remain sidelined for the rest of the trip, which ends Friday against San Antonio.

Chris Bosh tried to make up for his star teammate's absence by matching a season high with 34 points, but no other Heat player had more than 12. Miami had won its previous 17 regular-season games when Bosh has scored at least 30.

Hassan Whiteside had his fourth double-double in five games with 11 points and 10 rebounds and is averaging 15.4 points, 14.4 rebounds and 4.2 blocks in those contests.

Miami's lone loss in its last nine meetings with Minnesota (8-40) came when Wade was missing for a double overtime defeat April 4. He had 25 points and eight assists in a 102-92 home win over the Timberwolves on Nov. 8, and Wade and Bosh (24 points) combined for the team's final 12 points.

Bosh has scored 24 points in each of the last two games against the Timberwolves but has totaled 19 in the past two visits to Minnesota. Wade has averaged 28.7 points on 57.1 percent shooting in Miami's six consecutive wins there and 27.0 points on 59.6 percent shooting in his past eight overall against the Timberwolves.

The Heat will try to overcome Wade's absence as they face a team that's lost three straight and eight of nine. Ricky Rubio's return from an ankle injury wasn't enough to lift Minnesota on Monday in a 100-94 loss in Dallas.

The point guard had 10 points and four assists in 21-plus minutes in his first game since Nov. 7. Kevin Martin had a team-best 19 points in his fourth game back from a fractured right wrist, and Mo Williams had 15 and five assists after sitting out the previous three contests (hip and personal reasons).

"They're trying to get their legs and trying to get their rhythm individually. We're also trying to get (our rhythm) as a team," coach Flip Saunders said. "It's going to take a little time."

Shabazz Muhammad (oblique) and Robbie Hummel (hand) remain out indefinitely for the Timberwolves while rookie Zach LaVine (ankle) is questionable for this game.

Nikola Pekovic had 19 points and 11 rebounds in the loss in Miami in November. He's averaging 18.3 points and 11.7 boards in his last three games against the Heat.

Gene go talking about how the Cavs can benefit from these teams losing tonight...

Bulls
Raptors
Wizards

Man stop fucking with Beat he's good people....mannn

some of ya'll act like a time is suppose to contend every year. there's always a rebuilding process. Sports is suppose to go in cycles. It's just some sorry ass organizations like cleveland and others spend more time on the loosing end of the cycle, so when they get a little hope they get so excited, they can't help themselves.

Miami Heat is a very good organization. They having a down year this year but trust and believe they will be back contending once they rebuild this team back up. Heat dominated the last 4 seasons, and hogged all the attention away from other NBA teams, nothing last forever. This is other team's time this year, but I see Miami raising another banner within the next few years.

Damn... Y'all funny as shit!! Been going at it damn near daily since September!!

I can understand the frustration. Nobody thought the Heat would be top 3 in the conference but they are really stinking up the joint. Wade can't stay healthy anymore, time to accept this fact and move forward.

I think the frustration is with certain people who were on here posting pictures of DWade on instagram showing his new abs, and proclaiming Bosh the second coming of Wilt Chamberlain, and a lot of those same people said the Heat would finish as high as 3rd or 4th because the East was so weak, and a lot of those people claimed that DWade wouldn't miss much time this season because he was recommitted to conditioning based on his Shaun T pictures.... That's where the frustation comes in at...

I mean look at the thread title... then look at this clip from tonights game...

My how the mighty have fallen... :smh:

Yea...you right. That's why Bron said see yall later, I'm outta here.

Yea...you right. That's why Bron said see yall later, I'm outta here.

Yep, he saw that shit falling apart even before last years ass whipping to the Spurs... and that shit was one of the worse ass whippings in finals history!! Spurs just beat the hell out of them... and he saw how broken down Wade was becoming, basically played a College schedule, and how badly Bosh was playing, and got tired of carrying them...

As bad as Love's adjustment has been, Bosh has been a lot worse, because of all that damn money committed to him, and how he's under achieved in his new role as #1 option!! Dude has basically sucked this season in this new role, and his inconsistent play is as much to blame for the Heats struggles as Wade staying injured!! Bosh has been a colossal failure when you look at it from the context of his new contract, expectations in his new role, and his production... Reload my ass... Need to blow that shit up and start over with new talent, but they can't because they were fooled into giving him all that bread!! Dumb ass move that's going to haunt them... :smh:
