Couple scams Staten Island target with counterfeit money

The pair paid for $900 worth of electronics with 9 fake 100-dollar bills.

A couple scammed a Target store on Staten Island out of $900 worth of electronics, cops said Thursday.

The man and woman presented nine counterfeit $100 bills at the Target on Richmond Ave. at 10:30 p.m. Monday.

The con woman wore a tiny tank top and short shorts, while her male counterpart was clad in a black and white baseball shirt, according to security images released by police.

The duo left the store in a white Ford Fusion, with New York license plate GNX2679.

Cops ask anyone with information to call (800) 577-TIPS.

Right, professional counterfeiters don't park directly in front of stores with their license plates showing, & their faces EASILY identifiable, but even beyond the pens you should be able to feel the difference, and if you're not sure CALL THE MANAGER!!!

In today's world, somebody spending a G in cash is unusual, I've been a manager @ several retail spots, NO COUNTERFEIT $100 EVER PASSED (I will acknowledge that today's fake bills are easier to run off), but a few $20s got thru simply because no one scrutinizes them!

I know somebody who can wash everything off a $20 to where it's just the plan paper but it has the face inside, the fibers, the feel and pass the pen test. They he just print the $100 over it.
