Kevin Love Traded for Wiggins, Bennett, and future pick

Detriment? Those dudes won like 3 games last year. I think they'll be ok. Why are people so hung up on some passive aggressive kid that hasn't proven anything? I don't get it....he wouldn't have even been the 1st pick if Joel Embiid wasn't hurt.

Because he won't always be a "passive-agressive" kid.

That was my problem. They never gave the boy a chance to play with James. Wiggins IQ could have shot up exponentially playing along side James.

I agree with you

Its a win now move....but if Lebron was thinking long term.....Wiggins would be the Key. With Wiggins athletically ability if he starts to be Defensive minded he could have took over from Bron and led bron to a couple more chips.

Not quite. But this deal proved what everyone suspected all along and that is LeBron might be the worst player GM in the East (yes, even worse than Derrick Rose.)

The new "Big 3" is a downgrade from the one that LeBron had in Miami and the main reason his return to Cleveland was slated to be a success was because Cleveland had more depth than Miami.

Now that the team has traded away its depth, added a rookie coach with no NBA experience, and a poor defender in Kevin Love, it is safe to say that LeBron has set himself back.

Cleveland will be the top team in the east

Same shit I was saying when this was first proposed. They traded away defense and depth. After what happened against the Spurs you would have thought Lebron would have learned his lesson.

I wish Inkosi the best but IMO he's fuckin up tryna be GM/coach/star player. I cant imagine him winning a title tryna handle all those roles. And despite what BGOL thinks this supporting cast IS a downgrade from Wade and Bosh. Inkosi doesnt seem pressed to win titles anymore and thats a lil dissapointing.

You don't know that:smh::smh: Different team different situation. If Love is so good.....why has he never been to the playoffs????? BAD TRADEfor Cleveland. Video game trade. 2 First pick of the draft players and a first rounder. Nobody else was offering anything close to that. I never woulda traded Wiggins for anybody but...Durant or Anthony Davis. That's it.

2 things he's in the west. And who else was on his team

The new "Big 3" is a downgrade from the one that LeBron had in Miami

D Wade was basically non-existent last season. His best days are behind him

Now that the team has traded away its depth

it is safe to say that LeBron has set himself back.

Right....

Tristan Love
Dion Waiters
Tristan Thompson
Brendan Haywood
Mike Miller
*Possibly Ray Allen
Anderson Varejao
James Jones
And a shitload of draft picks to use as trade assets.

Yeah, they're pretty depleted

I wish the Cavs would have waited till after some preseason games to see how LeBron and Wiggins played together before making the trade. There was no need to rush. No one was offering a player with as much potential as Wiggins.

We traded Elton brand for Tyson chandler

And Jamal Crawford and JYD for frank Williams and other Harrington

How in the fuck can u not top that trade

And that 2015 pick is ours in a swap

Love is not that good man. He isn't worth two overal #1s and another 1st rder.

That's insanity.

Love is the most empty numbers player in the game.

Cavs should have given that deal for Boogie Cousins or something.

If Love is so good.....why has he never been to the playoffs?????

Have you actually looked at the roster in Minny the last 4 years? It's awful and they're in the west.

People said the same thing about Pau Gasol when he couldn't get the Grizz out of the first round of the playoffs. Was traded to Lakers where he proved to be a great 2nd option and refined his career.

Overall I understand Lebrons thinking with this being in win now mode

But I wouldn't have done this

Wiggins ceiling is too high

Minnesota had ZERO leverage. :smh:
NONE.

Give away a prototype wing player. Length, youth, athleticism, defensive skillset and desire, limitless potential. For a guy they could have gotten for free or near free in nine months.:smh:

if you didn't think this was going to happen before the season started maybe you have not been paying attention to the way the NBA has changedlook after the new CBA players are no longer traded at the trade deadline well I'm sorry I mean players that are considered stars are superstars at the moment those days are gone the last players traded like that were Deron Williams Carmelo Anthony with the way the new CBA structure after the lockout players that are consider starsI traded before the season starts Chris Paul Dwight Howard and now Kevin Love

look this was going to happen because Kevin Love wants his max contract so this was going to happen before the season starts now the question becomes does Cleveland keep Tristan just to make LeBron team happy?

you have to feel bad for Andrew Wiggins. Because no young player other than Kevin Love actually develop into what they were supposed to while playing in Minnesota since Garnett look at the history of lottery picks and players they have chosen it is not pretty another reason why it brought back Flip Saunders

Cleveland will be one of the best team in the East. what's the scary thing is Cleveland owner has no problem in paying the luxury tax this will be the advantage they have.

Cleveland loss Andrew Wiggins truebut honestlythis trade is more about the next 5 years. The next 10 i give Cleveland the win now.

C. Anderson Varejo
PF Kevin Love
SF LeBron James
SG Dion Waiters
PG Kyrie Irving
Bench
C Brendan Haywood
PF Tristan Thompson
SF Mike Miller
SG James Jones
PG John Lucas III
SG Joe Harris
PF Erik Murphy

That's not horrible they have some shooters. If ever they need a stop on D they can run Varejo and Thompson at the C and PF spots. Waiters can defend a little at the 2 and they'll need Kyrie to start playing more D and or find another Guard who can defend as a back up. If they get Allen that's a pretty good 2nd unit of Haywood, Thompson, Miller, Allen, and Lucas.

Wiggins may turn out to be great or average or a bust. Love gives you 20 and 10 every night. I like those numbers guaranteed over projections.

Its a gamble for sure.

Maybe he wouldnt have been on the market by then though. Love could have agreed to sign an extension elsewhere too.

I have to believe that the Cavs werent all that high on Wiggins in the first place. During the draft process he didnt blow anyone away with anything, besides the fact that he is crazy athletic.

The Cavs didnt draft Parker because he made it clear he didnt want to play for them. Not because they were higher on Wiggins. That says alot man.

Most good teams play good defense... Look at the Lakers when they won with Gasol and Bynum, both meh individual defenders but in their scheme they were gangbusters..
It was a great trade for both teams, and all players involved (its rare you find a trade that is a win win for everybody).
Folks are trying to call it a bad trade just because it wasn't highway robbery, or because of some dumb ass logic, saying because the team didn't make the playoffs Love sucks... Well that may be the case if he was scoring 30pts while putting up 33 shots per game, but anytime you consistently grab those many rebounds, for that long, you must be doing something right... Oh as far as the no playoffs logic, I guess Demarcus Cousins sucks also and if the Pelicans don't make the playoffs this year Anthony Davis would all of a sudden suck also , hmmmm what do they both have in common with Love, lets see, both good big guys playing in the west with a team full of scrubs...
Now if you don't want Love or the Cavs to succeed, I can dig it, fans will do what fans do, but to stick you head in your ass just to make your mental gymnastics fit what you want, totally ignoring the stats and what Love has done over the past four years, then you are bugging...
I only have one question to ask folks, if its so easy to put up those numbers on a losing team, why don't more folks on losing teams do it..

Lebron will be the best in the league for 3 maybe 4 more years before he starts to break down. Wiggins will take 2-3 years or so to become as good as Kevin Love, if he ever gets that good.

Cleveland is trying to win now not build for the future. Good trade.

well we'll see if this dude is ready for the prime time now or if he'll fold his tent and be a shell of what people think he is.

meanwhile wiggins is going to light it up in minnesota while love tweaks a hammy.

Fuck the nba and Gilbert scum

I coulda been watching cp3 on the lakers instead Of him throwing the ball up to that halfbreed

I can't wait to see Cavs for Timberwolves!
I think Wiggins is going to show Cleveland that they fucked up!

Tristan is a big piece to the Cavs puzzle, many feel he can develop to be a bigger version of Kawhi Leonard, look at their build and athleticism and they are almost carbon copies..
The Cavs defiantly have on of the most talented teams in the NBA, but talent is one one of three parts, the question is, can they play as a unit (execute on the court) and is their coach able to create a style to maximize their talent (strategy)... Plus their health may be an issue, but as often as in the case teams that are deep with talent tend to have less injuries than teams with less talent, who star players who are forced to play superman ball day in and day out..

You don't see how that first statement is actually more fitting for a player who is one year out of high school, and a player who (sure showed promise) but did not live up to the hype in his only year in college..

Mannnnnnn I thought u was dead. So what u a Cavs fan now????

Y'all kill me talking about Love gonna give you 20 and 10 a night....y'all been saying he had no help in Minnie but now he's suppose put up them numbers on a team where Lebron is on it? One of the best rebounders and scorers in the league? But Love stats gonna be 20 and 10. Alright. Like dudes said, go see Bosh stats prior to Toronto and after.

Cavs will regret giving up on Wiggins. Especially for Kevin Love.

I can't wait to see Cavs for Timberwolves!

Bro lay off the bath salts, Wiggins isn't that type of a player, at least not yet...
Its way more likely that LeBron, Irving, or Love score 40 for a blow away vs the T-Wolves than for Wiggins to score 25 and win..
