Michelle Beadle Rips ESPN Colleague Over Dom. Violence Comments

you must have watched it after you made your comment or you just didn't get it bcuz he said absolutely NOTHING about women keeping their hands to themselves...he didn't even imply it...he just made a vague statement about not provoking it then even quickly commented that it's not something that can really be provoked

Nope,I watched it,before I made my first comment....

I agree with him.

Sometimes it is the woman pushing the buttons.

Doesn't excuse the behavior or condone it its just a fact.

And as he said there are other men that are just assholes and would beat a woman without being provoked.

Seems real funny that this was not Rice's wife when this happened and she didn't need time to get over it.

Since nobody saw what happened hopefully they get past it.

But she married him after the fact..Makes me think it was mutual combat.

SAS was just rambling...it's part of his job to say something...he even contradicted himself slightly @ the end :smh:

SAS is always rambling. I watched a 3 minute video so maybe I didn't see the entire thing

Don't forget Roethlisberger had two sexual assault cases, but it got swept under the rug in the media.....:smh::smh::smh:

I remember that shit. And that's when the Steelers were still competitive... a similar caliber black nfl star would have STAYED on the breaking news sections on espn with multiple sexual assault cases.. shit.. Colin Kaepernick got more media attention for that one situation and we found out he wasn't even in the room.

Stephen A is one sorry brother in my opinion, but he didn't say shit wrong here that I can tell. :dunno:
I'm from the school that thinks you should never hit a female, unless you have LaLa Ali or one of those
big worldstar bitches punching your ass. I have never run across a female that I think can kick my ass,
so I always walk away or just shut up so I don't escalate shit. :hmm:

I don't condone hitting a woman and all the fathers with daughters and brothers with sisters understand that.

I school my nephews on this ALL the time just let it go walk away you gonna get arrested lose your scholarship or WORSE.

You can't tell little brothers any different cause you all know the truth and reality of the situation.

SAS was right but he was wrong, nothing he was gonna say after was gonna clean it up.

SAS thought he covered himself completely and also he STATED that he gonna get backlash from these statements and doesn't give a damn..

then promptly apologizes.

to me THAT is worse.

If you are unable to articulate your point (no matter how controversial) you shouldn't be on a debate show and if you are going to bow your head the minute the cac raps your knuckles then you need to be quiet.

Stephen A is absolutely right if hes referring to women attacking men first. I find it ironic however that a man who has made a career out of cooning and pandering to Cacs is getting dragged through the mud by for the one time he was brutally honest. Nigga wake up call indeed.

He should have stuck with shittin on black people, he wouldve got zero backlash and no pressure to apologize. :smh:

Michelle Beadle will soon find herself removed from ESPN like Dana Jacobson if she keeps stirring the pot.

Cue the feminists and soft serve males. No one is cosigning beating women BUT if a women hits she should prepare to get hit. Bottom line.

Tru dat. She knows.

Beadle is just trying to make herself relevant. I wouldn't take back one damn word if I was SA. He clearly stated that in some instances you're just going to have assholes who hit women regardless and they should be punished. He also clearly stated that women can prevent some of this shit by not hitting dudes because not every man has the same level of restraint.

Quick story: I would meet my ex wife every weekend (as a favor to her so that she could work the weekends) to get my daughter. We stayed far apart so we would meet at a central location. The bitch would show up for every drop off and pick up on her damn phone. Not speaking no nothing. No verbal exchange on what's going on with our kid or anything. To me that shit is disrespectful. I told her as much. She basically said fuck you and showed up like the next 3 times on her damn phone. So at this point I screamed on her and told her she better not show up on that damn phone again. In my mind, I knew i wasn't planning violence. I was going to punish her ass by not getting my daughter every weekend as much as i was enjoying the quality time her mother was just acting like too much of a bitch. So of course after I scream on her, the bitch pulls up just holding the phone to her ear and not saying anything. I saw the shit, I laughed, got my daughter out of the car and put her in my car. Walking around to get in the drivers seat, a fucking cop pulls up to my car asking me if everything is alright. Turns out the bitch called the cops on me and was trying to provoke me by pretending to be on the phone.... Story wasn't so short after all... LOL!! But yall get my point.

He also clearly stated that women can prevent some of this shit by not hitting dudes because not every man has the same level of restraint.

no...he did not lol...is there another video or a longer version that I missed or is dudes just making shit up based on their own situations?

Damn, hate that SAS already apologized because it's like saying Michelle Beadle was right, damn SAS quick on the trigger to apologize and not stand by his words. I watched the show live this morning and the clip in this thread and I see nothing wrong with what he said. He's not blaming the victim, he's is blaming the situation. If a woman is in a abusive relationship once, there shouldn't be a twice.

I'm thinking about wearing a miniskirt this weekend...I'd hate to think what I'd be asking for by doing so
Bitch needs to STFU, he said noting about the way a woman dress. Damn, is SAS really a soft dude, quick to apologize within hours.

That bitch is fucked up man.

All he said was women shouldnt hit men and expect the men to simply walk away because they are men.

At that point you are asking for it IMHO.

If we tell men to walk away, we should be able to openly tell women to walk away too.

Exactly, Beadle's crazy ass, who I can't stand... Wish she would a stayed at Fox, got it absolutely wrong. When did he say anything about what you wear when he talked about preventing domestic. And since when does wearing a skirt provoke a man to beat up a woman? She's basically talking in terms of rape more so than domestic violence, which wasn't even in the topic today.

Stephen A shouldn't apologize, he got it right, women shouldn't hit men and expect every man to just walk away. Both parties should keep their hands off of each other. That's what he said today, ain't had nothing to do with what Beadle said.

I find it verrrry interesting that he apologized to her so quickly... When he offends the Black community what does he say? "From the bottom of my heart, yall know I don't give a DAMN what any of yall think about me"... Offend that snow bunny.. "Heyyy baby love now you know i was only bullshittin..."

Most of ya'll hate women so you don't see her point

I see both of their sides

I have no problem with what either said. It just shows the differences in how different genders think.

I find if funny Stephen A defended this harder than he defends black people

Didn't she put hands on him first?

She did, which is why SAS said those statements. Bayless said that reports from the elevator footage say she hit Rice first, he hit her back and her head hit the floor or wall the elevator which knocked her unconscious

I have no problem with what he said. I know women relish the opportunity that the subject of domestic violence provides to view themselves as a victim 100% of the time. What SAS said threatens that. Unfortunately mass media and our entertainment has brainwashed most of us into thinking that women can do no wrong nor provoke domestic violence, including putting their hands on a man.

So people have a problem with him saying that women should keep their hands to themselves, but so quick to jump on a guy or shit on him when that same guy hits that woman back.....

Not one person, haven't told me why is it okay for women to hit men,but as soon as a man retaliates,he's labeled a woman beater and arrested...

Everybody in the country was laughing at Jay-Z for getting hit by Solange, but if he would of retaliated ,he would looked as the bad guy..

Its okay to laugh at men who are getting their ass kicked by a woman, but if a man laugh at a woman, everybody want to say that's offensive or your hateful..what kind of bullshit is that...:hmm:

Men have always...I mean always been told not to hit women, but nobody wants to say the same fucking thing to women....what kind of bullshit is that....

There are instances where you can provoke someone to beat your ass. For instance if a chic pulls out a gun on me i'm going to beat her ass. Its that simple. That goes for guys too. What's this nonsense that you can't be provoked to beat someones ass?

What SAS was really straightforward.. No rewording or sugar coating is needed.

SAS made a valid point. He stated that the guys who beat Women for no apparent reason are wrong for doing so, but he also stated that THE WOMAN should play her role accordingly as well and dont provoke the bs.

The same ones in this thread shitting on what SAS said are the same ones that be in the threads caping for a Woman in a pic with a black eye; not knowing what transpired before the blackeye.

Based off some of you automatically siding with the female..Im assuming some of you came from homes whereas u all witnessed your Moms of Sisters being beat...so it hits close to home.

Or maybe u suffered via the law from putting your hands on a Women.

Or maybe you ALWAYS fall for Women who play the victim role, even when theyre the ones who are at fault. But at the end of the day.....if you dont want hands put on you, then keep you hands to yourself.

My Father taught me to respect a lady...never hit a lady.... but knock a disrespectful bitch on her ass; as long as you can adsorb the legal implication.

The fact that Michelle Beadle flipped it around into some office place/sexual harassment bs....and some of you guys cosigned it , "off top", is ridiculous.

A lot of the shit that goes on in the US doesnt happen in many other countries. Women are held accountable just as much as Men. All that "im stronger than you bs" doent fly! America society is a society whereas Men are supposed to be held accountable, but Women arent. Women can get overly emotional....act a fool.....but when the Man responds....the police, court system etc etc gets involved...and money is made.

Yea..I get it!!!!

We've created a society full of unaccountable/victimized lousy bitches. And most of you soft ass dudes are feeding into the bs.

Stephen A said the impossible by asking a woman to take accountability. You will never win that battle.

Bingo ...you can't be put on a pedestal and be treated equally. Restrictions apply to all entitlements.

If you want to be a feminist then you have to abide by the same unwritten rules men do.
#1 don't provoke a physically superior human or ....-

That chick is silly.

They each hit the other. They were each charged with a crime. Someone provoked someone. It happens.
I'm not condoning hitting women, I'm against people hitting each other PERIOD!! If she did hit him first, you have to ask yourself the question, "would I hit an NFL player in anger?" These guys get the shit beat out of them on the field, get back up, and do it again and again for 16 weeks...A running back gets hit by guys twice his size... and some 120lb woman is going to attack him? I'm not stepping to Ray Rice, so why would someone smaller and weaker do it?

This make big news.....they talking about on the radio here on houston....even read his tweet responses. I somewhat agree with him....women should keep there hands to themselves, not saying a man should go Chris Brown on her tho.

Bruh, you're preaching to the choir.

We've come a long way for someone in the media to even come close to what SAS said. Maybe in 20 years we could actually have a real discussion.
