Why would they write of John Wall? A 6 foot 4 athletic stud, 19 year old consensus number one pick and most talented guy in the draft one year removed from high school? Again, this is foolish to even mention this guy in the same breath in ANY regard. Napier is a 23 year old barely 6 foot second round talent. One is not like the other. Wall/Rose talent level and skill set are on an entirely different level.

And his college stats mean zero in terms of how his game will translate to the nba. He is out of his fucking league man. He is a poor mans Jameer Nelson.

RealJondoe tried to argue me down about Napier not projected to go in the 2nd round.

Let's keep it 100 on Napier. Could he end up having a successful career? He very well could. Could he not? He very well could. If I put money on it? I'll say he's a solid rotational guy if he can consistently hit that outside shot. He can be solid like a Mo Williams or a Ramon Sessions. But I wouldn't hold my damn breathe on him being John Wall or Kyrie Irving.

As of right now i'd have to say Norris Cole is a better player than him right now.

Closer to draft they were talking about him going higher once the Heat had interest

I saw some having him in the 20's but prior to that tournament that dude was projected 2nd round pick due to people feeling like his size wouldn't translate well. These dudes like Kyrie, John Wall.......they gonna eat him up.

I'm not saying he's not gonna be solid in this league. I don't know what he will be. But I just noticed that people all of a sudden started overrating him because Bron "requested" him and made that twitter post. His potential is being a rotational give you a solid 20-25 minutes a night backup point guard. No shame in that.

Its over with if he gets a consistent jumper. Its not gonna be too many players you'd take over him if he gets that jumper. He's legit as is right now but he can really be special if he gets that jumper.

Im not a huge Wall fan. And I have shitted on his game and decision making here for years. But I refuse to entertain Napier comparisons in ANY fashion. :smh:

And yea, if he learns control and develops a consistent shot he will be a top 5-8 PG.

In two years definitely (if he stays healthy), but for right now no it is not an upgrade. The one area where it will be an improvement would be on the defensive side of the ball. Chalmers is one of the worst PG defenders in the league. Cole will be the main point guard this season unless the Heat pick up Jameer Nelson.

you missed the point completely.

no one said he will be mvp. the point is, if great pgs struggle, what do you think an avg one going to do? point guards have bad games in the summer league as an adjustment phase. look at how long it took kendall marshall to transition. two games is not the be all.
