Something is going on behind the scenes I think. Every indication was Parsons and his agent knew the deal. They knew Parsons was coveted by the rockets and they knew they'd match an offer sheet but they just needed him to stand pat and let them make their big splash in free agency. For this to happen something happened behind closed doors.

The Miami Heat president revealed Thursday that the four-time NBA MVP and his wife Savannah are expecting for a third time, their latest addition to be a girl.
No word yet on when the baby is arriving. James and his wife already have two sons.
Riley dropped the nugget during his season-ending meeting with reporters on Thursday, saying, "Savannah now is going to have a little baby girl to join her in the fight against the two boys and LeBron, which she needs."
James and his wife were married last summer, and have been together for more than a decade.

Parsons' contract has not been finalized. We were under the impression that he had signed it last night but the paperwork hasn't been finalized and won't be finalized until later tonight. So the clock hasn't started ticking yet to match the offer sheet.
Now, why is that paperwork not in yet?
According to Eddie Sefko tweeted at 11:46am there is a potential sign n trade in the works. Pieces haven't been disclosed, but that's the hold up.
Is Morey stalling? that would be epic if it were. Offer a sign n trade to buy more time for your decision making in whether to match the offer sheet or not.
