~*~2014 NBA OffSeason Thread - Free Agency Starts - 7/1 12am ~*~

That helps them in the paint with the half-court offense..also mid-range and passing.

I still think the biggest issue is perimeter defense. Chalmers is slow, Wade's body is broken down and lebron is getting more assignments in the paint (plus you don't want him chasing people around on the perimeter all day). If they got Lance they would be straight but Mickey is not trying to pay the tax...

the additions of Lance, Gasol, McRoberts, and Granger puts them right back in the Finals and with a really good chance to win it.. granger and lance allow Wade to really limit his minutes (even moreso than he's already doing).

If Lance can sign for 3 yrs and re-up for a max with the heat if he continues his stellar play then thats a plus.. he has youth on his side and indy ain't trying to pay him plus he wants to go to a contender

If Bosh turns down 22 mil a year to sign for 12-15 mil :hmm:

He's the years biggest simp

Texas doesn't have any state tax either

That's why I said "IF THEY BRING IN SOMEONE ELSE". Those two help your depth. Often the heat had no one on the second unit to give them anything. Those two would help. Now they need to bring in a start-level player.

I think they signed those two today, because Gasol and Deng said :smh:

Were they successful or not?
Did Battier not show his ass in a finals game?
Was mike not raining on cats.
And ray?
Shit birdman was huge too, rejuvenated his career.
Riley put them together.
Riley likes those type of guys.

But you could've put boo boo the fool around Bron, Wade and Bosh and they would've won the title. Man you odin' now. Now you're trying to downplay the impact them 3 had on them rings.....

That's like me crediting Jacque Vaughn or Matt Bonner for the Spurs rings they got. Shit is crazy.

Birdman was a crackhead. That's why he was available. He wasn't a bum prior to getting him just on drugs.

You know what a GM does? He finds guys who didn't fit well on other teams but gets the most out of him. Look at Patty Mills and Boris Diaw? Specifically Diaw....overweight and lost his game.

Look at Tyson Chandler the first go around before the Mavs? Injury prone and inconsistent.

That's what GM's do. You grabbing dudes who's best years are behind them? I get Riley likes that but how much credit should I give you for picking up a former all star?

But that goes back to the question at hand....it was asked who did the Cavs get to play with Lebron? It was the same caliber of guys that Riley got. A out of his prime Shaq.......Antawn Jamison....Mo Williams.....the same caliber of guys fam.

Didn't Indy offer him 4 years at 44 million and he turned that down? Indy wants him but they can't offer him more than that due to the fuckery of contracts they have for George, Hibbert and Hill.

Lance would be a fool to accept a 3 year deal like that......he might as well re-up with Indy.

He shot 35 percent from the floor! 35 percent! I don't even know how that's possible for a couple that doesn't live on the perimeter.

I don't even want my players shooting 35% from 3 let alone from inside the paint or mid-range area....shit. He just needs his confidence up. Lebron will do that. Or get in his ass.

D Wade is checking his cell phone to make sure it's still working.

damn, did my assistant pay the bill

Nobody wants me :(

Indy fucked up giving Hill and Hibbert them deals.. now they quietly trying to shop hibbert.. they might as well amnesty him.. dude has 2 yrs 30 mill left on his deal

I'm telling you man.. DII or highschoolers for a month so he can just mash on people. You can't risk him going out there with some DI ballers and still shooting 35 percent!'

Lebron might make his move contingent on Bennett being traded... Bennett would have him out there having flashbacks from 08'

My point

Like he has any options otherwise

Miami's bidding against themselves for him.

And he sort of fucks them up, because they can't insult him after he just left 40 mil on the table to "help the team"

They have to take care of wade but he's the biggest wrench in this whole thing because you're tying up all that money for a player who sits almost 40 percent of your regular season games. They were counting on this being a big 3 for longer than 4 years.

1. either we trolled ourselves thinking Mickey is scared of the luxury tax
2. No Pau Gasol because Josh Is getting the full MLE

Charlotte Hornets free agent Josh McRoberts has committed to sign a new deal to join the Miami Heat, his agents told ESPN.com on Monday.

In addition, sources confirmed to ESPN.com that Danny Granger has agreed to a two-year, $4.2 million deal with the Heat.

Sources told ESPN.com that McRoberts will receive a four-year deal from the Heat worth an estimated $23 million and which also includes an option to return to free agency entering the fourth season.

Dude he wasn't going no where to begin with he's a heat for life.. even if he had options... ok he left 40 mill on the table? the Heat have shown they are loyal to their star players and former staff.. look at the coaching staff and front office folk...

That sucks.......damn.

The fuck did he do in the NBDL? Nothing?

I mean if he's gonna go out there and give you 0 points and 0 rebounds....you might as well amnesty him. Anyone can give you that at the vet. minimum. I didn't know they had they amnesty. They must be trying to clear cap space which is why shit is stalling.

A sucker is willing to take Hibbert contract. Its only 2 years so its not long term.

D Wade is checking his cell phone to make sure it's still working.

damn, did my assistant pay the bill

Nobody wants me :(

I'm trying to figure out what did Bron tell this dude to make him opt out. I know he can't think he was gonna make more than 40 million left in his career. I bet Bron told him we all taking pay cuts again....

Easy for you to say

Wade is about as wanted as Roy Hibbert

They're probably as wanted as a 50 year old Michael Jordan

I don't think Pau was leaving money on the table. I don't think he was ever a viable option. Gasol still can trick a team to getting him a mic deal. Especially if McRoberts got the deal he got.

with their luck.....chances are, they'll have a 60 win season and still get the first pick again next year......
:lol::lol::lol:

Deng and Gasol

Of course the big 3 carry the load but the Tito's got to do their thing too
You are arguing against success.
4 straight finals. 2 rangs

Well have Mark offered him a max...if not what's the beef
Exactly! His problem needs to be with Mark Cuban not Bosh. Bosh shouldn't wanna play for that muthafucka!

Bosh is in Sri Lanka he couldn't of met with Lebron
stfu. Its confirmed they spoke this weekend. And being reported by multiple outlets.

Josh McRoberts to the Heat
In Riles we trust!!

So a week in, and all the great Riles has to show is overpaying a guy MJ didn't want, and giving another minimum wage deal to a washed dude nobody else wanted. Maybe Granger and Wade can tag team each other out of "DNP Rest/Knee" days.

Fyi- McRoberts got more money than Boris Diaw.

:lol::smh::lol:

Mike Fucking Brown did this shit. It's bad enough Bennett had surgery and came into camp out of shape. Having to deal with Brown really fucked him up.

But if anyone has to be moved, they can package him, Waiters, and other pieces(not Wiggins) for Love. The Cavs have three first round draft picks to give up too.

Bosh is crazy if he don't jump on that Houston shit. Lebron probably meeting with Riley to tell him to his face that he's out.
