**Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Thread**

hell yea...semi's baby. I hope Neymar's alright...Thiago Silva will be missed...arguably the best defender in the world

I can't see them playing like this against Germany and winning.

Goals from open play at a standstill.

I'm not totally shocked at this performance because Brazil always goes in knowing they can beat any latin american team. They play with a different flair against them.

Gonna be a completely different game against Germany...and Brazil is gonna be without Silva :smh:

He was crying on the stretcher. Players typically only do that when they know they're injured for real because they aren't crying over pain.. it's over the fact they might not be able to play. He might have really fucked his back up.

slipped disc?

we'll see..on that one yea he was hurt I was just talking about overall though

that and he jumps into the contact so he can bounce off it and roll around

Man. He flops all over the place like Wade and Manu. 90 percent of it is flopping (that's gotta be something!) and 10 percent is it him weighting 50 pounds. He's listed at 140 pounds. Take off the 10 percent they always add to players' weights and the extra weight from all the gel he puts in his hair, he probably weights a full Shaddy (125 pounds).

shit

no neymar and silva

where's robihno!

Fuck all the crying about...families being held hostage back in Cali?

Most players get 2 or 3 times MAX to win the WC. Like Bills said, it's like the Olympics because it's only ever 4 years....and it's THAT important for soccer players... winning a world cup is THE biggest thing these guys can do in their countries. Soccer is often THE only meaningful sport in their countries so winning a WC makes them a sports GOD. Maradona is STILL eating off his full pitch goal against England when they won the cup. It's THAT serious.

However much you think you love your Boston teams, it's nothing compared to how some people in countries like Brazil feel about football. When they lost to Uruguay in the world cup finals, people were committing mass suicides. The colombian keeper that fucked up in a world cup got shot when he stepped of the plane in Colombia. It's real shit here... they have "professional fight clubs for fans" where they do MMA together and train to be prepared to fight other team's fans after games here.. I'm not talking abut casually.. they have official trainers that ONLY train those fans and do nothing else...it's crazy

Yo.. they have Big Brother Brazil here.. shit is still massive.. a couple of years ago two people on the show they had a nasty argument.. i mean they were going at it on some racist shit..white girl vs a black guy... and all the CACS were siding with the white chick (you know how it is)..but the black guy was a soccer player and had won a world cup... and he was like "you're gonna take sides against someone who delivered you a fucking world cup.. a fucking world cup!"... all the crackas did a quick soul check and were like to the white chick "you need to tell him you're sorry so we can all move pass this". World Cups even have crackas going against their natures

I remember seeing Robinho when he was 18 and killing it with Santos. I really thought he was going to end up with a better career.

Me too

I remember watching the 2006 WC and the game against Croatia he came off the bench and gave the team the immediate spark they needed. Right then and there I was like dude gone be special

4 yrs later during the '10 WC, I couldn't tell you who frustrated me more, him or Kaká's bitch ass

man.. that's when I had that heated argument with that euro dude about Robinho..about that very shit..that although he didn't score goals he created goals because of his relentless attacking.... that shit was HEATED.. then to find out that dude hadn't even watched ANY of Brazil's games..he said he knew the deal because he was a gambler and he would go through all the stats after the game...i was like :angry:

Cuz you better than me.

Even Stevie Wonder could see Robinho's impact soon as he came in. I even argued that he probably should have not started in the last World Cup cause his impact was better coming off the bench.

Just announced. Neymar is out for the rest of the cup. I told you guys when he was crying on the stretcher that was it.

With the injury and suspension, a realistic expectation is that the pressure is on Germany now.
