Probably trade him

Man I dont know Perk's current salary but I would assume that he's in the top 5 for overpaid centers who ain't worth a dam. With that said, a GM that trades for Perkins will have some serious explaining to do to the owner :smh:

Shit, every owner will have pics of Perk's agent passed out to all employees with the order: "If you see this muhfucka on the property, alert ownership ASAP!"

Where they getting the money from?

They finally going to amnesty perk?

Sign and trade?

Not sure who I would want on OKC though

They have a lot of players in their last year or with team options coming up :dunno:

Some form of Adams, Lamb or Jones and draft pick :dunno:

Probably trade him

The only good thing about Perkins is this is the last year of his contract

To LA along with someone else for Gasol....(maybe even some cash or pick)

That's kinda simple actually

They don't need him though. The LA fanbase knows that Perk is shit. Who else makes this work for the Lakers, when he can just walk? Why absorb Perk for 1 year? :smh:

The Lakers fuck other teams with scrubs for talent, not the other way around.

Teams trade all the time for expiring contracts...

Package him with a young prospect and picks...dude had a solid year...played tough defense during the playoffs....

Carlos Boozer’s time with Bulls all but over
By JOE COWLEY Staff Reporter July 2, 2014 8:36PM

Officially, the Bulls still have several weeks to decide on the amnesty provision for Carlos Boozer.

But they don’t need it.

A source said Wednesday that Boozer’s departure is a “done deal,” adding that Boozer’s camp already has been informed.

There haven’t been any buyers on a sign-and-trade for Boozer, and the Bulls also want the money to go in a different direction, whether Carmelo Anthony is in the mix or not.

Under the amnesty provision, Boozer still will be paid the $16.8 million he’s due next season, but it won’t count against the salary cap.

There was a minority opinion that chairman Jerry Reinsdorf wouldn’t want to pay a player and get nothing in return, but that’s not the case. The Bulls think the time to make a run in the Eastern Conference is now, and it can’t be accomplished with Boozer on the roster.

In recruiting Anthony, the Bulls hoped the Knicks would be interested in a sign-and-trade for Boozer’s expiring contract, but they have been rebuffed several times. The Bulls are assuming that they’ll have to acquire Anthony as a free agent, and they felt good about their position after meeting with him Tuesday in Chicago.

That doesn’t mean the Bulls aren’t being proactive.

They’re headed to Los Angeles for a meeting with Lakers free-agent big man Pau Gasol, not only as an alternate plan if Anthony re-signs with the Knicks — the only team Bulls officials think is a threat in the sweepstakes — but also to sell Gasol on the idea that they can fit him under the salary cap with Anthony, but they’d have to get creative.

There was a report that the Bulls also inquired about Pacers free agent Lance Stephenson. That call was more of a just-in-case, according to the source. The Bulls think Stephenson’s initial asking price is beyond their means.

The Bulls are stealthily checking out small forward Trevor Ariza, whom coach Tom Thibodeau would push for if they lost out in the Anthony derby.

The good news for the Bulls is that they likely won’t have to wait long for Anthony’s answer.

A specific monetary amount was not discussed with Anthony, but all indications are that he’ll make a quick decision. He visited the Mavericks and Rockets on Wednesday and was headed back home to Los Angeles to meet with the Lakers on Thursday. He’ll have one more talk with the Knicks before making his decision.

How can Portland afford Monroe?

I'm sure he getting at least 12 mill a season

Cedric Maxwell: Rajon Rondo Asked Celtics For $100M Contract Extension

Find the biggest salt shaker you can, like the one the giant would have used in Jack and the Beanstalk, and take the following information with the most massive granule possible. Rajon Rondo wants a $100 million contract, Boston Celtics radio color commentator and Rondo confidant Cedric Maxwell said in a radio interview. Rondo, who can become an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season, has taken the team’s drafting of Oklahoma State point guard Marcus Smart as writing on the wall that his days in Boston are numbered. “If you’re Rondo, you might want to start calling that moving company and say, ‘Eh, come get my stuff. I don’t think I’m going to be here too long,’ ” Maxwell told Yahoo! Sports Radio. “Rumor has it that Rondo has asked for a $100 million extension,” Maxwell said, as transcribed by WEEI.com. “You’ve got Smart, the young kid, and you’ve got (James) Young, the other kid, from Kentucky, both guards. And in the NBA system right now, the way they’re being paid, you would pay both those guys probably about $4 million for one year instead of the $100 million right now that Rondo wanted to ask for.”

This isn’t really shocking. While $100 million is a lot, it’s roughly the amount Rondo could make as a maximum-salary free agent. It’s the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement, not Rondo, setting the value. Again, take all of this with a measure of incredulity. For one thing, the comparison of Smart and Young at $4 million to Rondo at $100 million is not comparing apples to apples; Rondo would not be paid $100 million for one season but over the life of a five-year contract, although Smart and Young are considerably cheaper. Also, Rondo cannot sign an extension for $100 million. The longest extension any player can sign is four years, including any years left on his existing contract, so the biggest deal Rondo could sign right now is three more years at less than $45 million. Rondo would be eligible for a five-year deal worth more than $100 million next summer, but he would first have to reach unrestricted free agency.

Yall did this putting him on the block for the past 4 years

Well his agent was working on something but the first call went to Hawes which makes sense. Hawes probably a little cheaper. Monroe is a restricted free agent so he'll have to dig the offer sheet and wait for the Piston's to match...

Blazers money ain't long like that...

What happened to playing for a contender...

Report: Kyle Lowry re-signs with Raptors
Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Kyle Lowry has agreed to a four-year, $48 million contract to stay with the Toronto Raptors.
This is a huge deal for the Raptors and also could mean that Jeremy Lin could stay with the Rockets if they don't land Carmelo Anthony. Lowry had a nice bounce-back season last year and if he can stay healthy, qualifies as an elite NBA point guard. Lowry will have the option to opt out of the fourth and final year of the deal.
