If not the mongers of this board may be better off in Hotel Debret. This hotel is 1 block away from Help and they will allow guest if you take them in during the day to eat in the restuarant or if you have guest in the Bar.

And it is a lot less than Meridien. Also if the y book with Vairg from JFK to Rio now the ticket is only $502.00 Continental has discount tickets all over the net but you have to find them. Varig may get bought out by a competitor so confirm your tickets fast.

One, I am the owner of the site. Two, not to tell you differently but this aint Myrtle Beach or Daytona Beach during Black Bike Weeks. Any one of us can go yearly and stay at any of the Super 8's La Quinta Inns that flood the beaches. THIS is Rio.... CARNIVALE. Most ,if many of us, do this once in their life for the experience, so why not get something close to affordable as possible. That $502 tix for Continental isn't even on its OWN website... so go figure that one. Plus Continental isn't flying out of JFK to Rio straight, Brazils national carrier is -- TAM. Varig flies into Sao Paulo, Brazil. Hotel Debret is no less expensive than only other along the beaches since the prices have changed on their site and most likely go up again for next Carnivale. Stay five night today and its still over $1000 with no taxes included. But hey, it's your money spend it as you please. For what you said here(and I tried a few different comparisons I spend alot more money with you than me.

PS - why would you go to Help seeking a free room, free drinks or free food unless you can guarantee everyone they will be kept there for the duration of they trip without paying a thing to anyone for anything. For real, this is Brazil where nothing gets done without greasing a palm or two here and there... straight up cause I ain't shyt free. Like I said, spend your money anyway you please, when I travel I like to know when I land I have a hotel and destination, access to food/drinks whether I pay or its included. Trust me, my money will be well spent, not overly spent.

But next year when you plan your group trips for Carnaval. Shoot me an email. My Rio apartment is behind The Meridien. I have a lot of info on Rio and Brazil in general. If you need to make a profit from tour web site and get repeat customers you may be better of connecting with Marina or 1 of the other apartment brokers in the area. as for the discounted Continental flights you will have to find those on your own. Unless you want to tandem off of my site. I run a group trip every 2 months.

If you are thinking about taking th trip to Brazil and need info on Rio de Janeiro, Give me a shout. My Yahoo group has Apartment brokers and a whole bunch of locals who can give first hand info on what to do when you come down.

It is the slow season now the perfect time to visit. You will have free run of the city without thousands of tourist blocking your view.

Balcony Bar is owned by a fellow New Yorker. This bar is in Copacabana. Super hot spot for football and half naked brazilion girls.

The price of many things are going up in Rio, but right now the apartment brokers are begging for customers. So if you are a 1st timer talk to your crew for some good contacts. Rent a 2 or 3 bedroom apt. for the same price a hotel room would cost.

The greatest night club on earth just shutdown after 25 years. So I know several of the brothers will want to know where to go now.

Balcony has become the new party central location. Stop by and say hello. The owner is a New Yorker. If you are in town before Carnaval stop by for the super bowl party. It will be the best party you have ever been to. Hell, you might even see the game.

The water is fine. The beach you want to be on is Copacabana. There is a nude beach that many tourist never hear about. If you speak Portuguese or can understand and can communicate with a latin language you may want to visit Abrico beach.
