If you'd like to participate in creating an open source OS for the African Diaspora,
please come on by and bless the distro!

The "Zambuko developers section" is like a small facebook program to discuss the project
and to keep developers abreast of each other.

The "source developers" will be the coders and testers.
The "support developers" will be for all other things.

If you do not know how to code, we would still welcome you into the developers
community. We will be needing original art work, documentation writers and translators!
There is also a forum where you can voice your opinions in a more relaxed and
familiar style.

The site isn't pretty but, that is something we could "clean up" later. I'm more
interested in functionality at the moment.

And we are starting with the patched kernel after this major flaw:

We need more non-US based IT products on the market from countries that value customer privacy.

I got somebody hacked into my computer and they use to harass me all day. I just want to go over and stab the person after years of this crap and gaslighting. As soon as I finish something, they will make noise like some retard. They seem to follow me from place to place and get off like sick serial killer.

This is NSA level type of hackery and constant surveillance which is driving me nuts. If you think privacy does not matter, wait until you get a stalker and they use it against you.

My man!
Didn't the NSA prove that, thinking in the terms that you just did,
is antiquated? Angela Merkel is not in the US.

the whole building it from scratch sounds like a terrible idea why build another wheel when you can work to build a better wheel.

What I really meant to say was this distro would be customized
and rolled for our purpose.

I like the Anaconda installer but I also like YaST's modular design.

We will find a solution between those and design a better system.

(I've been up way too long. I hope I made sense)

This will be a learning experience for me too!

I don't know how advanced you are so here's something you will need
to familiarize yourself with:

For starters...

Thanks. This is what I was alluding to in the PM. Trying to determine where to start since the forum was empty earlier in the week. I'll check this weekend to see if you posted some info. Weekends are my best time to contribute.

Sorry about my oversight.

I'll upload some more books and videos on Saturday...

Ncurses is an absolute "must have" skill. It's not difficult to learn.

This is what I have my eye on to build a simple and quick installer.

If you build it, they will come.

I might study some C++ and contribute to the project. This is a good project and idea.

My earlier and many rants show how essential projects that can secure our computers are important.

Just think, somebody is turning technology against me, to stifle dissent and deter free speech...

Right on!
I'm just doing what I can and that's all I can do.

If you decide to help, thanks in advance.

Also, I have the Mercurial repo up for Localization into any African Language.

If you know any African Diasporic Language, I'll set up a repo just for you.
I need no credit and my bills are already paid.
If you need tutorials, I'd be happy to walk you through the process.

All I want is to benefit my people.

Drop me a line if you are interested.

PS
Even if you speak a tiny bit of an African language, what you choose to share
really makes a difference

Once again, thanks in advance...

C++ 11 or the previous standard?

GCC has been C++0x compliant for a few realeases now.

C++ standards are mostly compatibale to the last approved standard. So jump in and don't
worry about the standards. Unless you are a stickler for using a tuple instead of an array or vector.:D

C++14 and C++ 17 will be here soon.

Even after a clean install and getting a IP change from you ISP?

This is some high level stuff. I can reimage my computer and they still get through. They are not trying to be covert or amateur, they want me to know to create a panopticon effect and fear.

You can see how technology can be turned against you, to harass you and disrupt your activities. I know reporters that deal with leakers have computers that don't connect to the internet. The creator of Linux has been approached in the past about putting backdoors, so it tells you that it is more secure and that other systems can be compromised with cold hard cash.

It has prevented me from doing anything on my computer. I think they are looking for IP which they have taken in the past.
