Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

That scene with Prince Oberyn and Tyrion was powerful and revealing.

I think I remember someone on here telling that story of Cercei pinching his penis and him being referred to as a demon baby.

Great acting on both of the parts and great dialogue.

It seems Cercei can't keep her hands off her brothers dicks. What the hell..

:smh::smh:

Hound: is he on your little list?
Arya: can't be. I don't know his name.
Hound: what's your name?
Rouge: Rouge

Sansa is only 13/14 on the show, the actress I believe is actually 18.
That was the only thing about that scene that made it creepy....other than that Littlefinger is a true craftsman. Crazy ass Lysa....:smh:

Arya :yes::yes::yes:

Poor Jorah....:lol::lol:

Loved the Oberyn Tyrion scene. Pedro Pascal has definitely been playing this role extremely well. Can't wait till the fight.

Co-sign all the above.

I think people forget how young Sansa is and add to that her being the first born Stark girl she was only raised to be bride to an heir of some other house so she's basically learning the world as she goes now.

And yeah that was a great scene between Prince Oberyn and Tyrion. My only complaint about the Prince Oberyn character was the bisexuality earlier in the season but I've basically forgotten about that shit now.

is it me or does it look like she was falling back anticipating the push before he pushed her....:hmm:

bad acting....

I mean the love of her life just told her I love your sister.... She probably was gonna faint and fall thru that shit anyway.... Littlefinger just have her the assist

How behind the books is the show now?

Aren't there still two books that have been released that they haven't covered yet or are they just one behind at this point?

The show is behind by 2 books. The 3rd book (a storm of swords) is being wrapped up during this current season.

I haven't read the books either but watch Prince Oberyn's body language closely when Tyrion demands a trial by combat.

He sits up... very intrigued & highly anxious.
(As if to say... "Little man got some MAJOR BALLS. Go figure.")

Out of everyone... I think Oberyn's reaction had the most foreshadowing.

Then I watched the preview for the next episode 7.
We see someone we haven't for a REAL LONG TIME.

THE MOUNTAIN.

I think Tywin (and/or Cersei) will demand THE MOUNTAIN fight Tyrion.

He sees it as his last chance to kill Tyrion... like he's always wanted to since his birth... and will feel justified in his choice.

Now if he does.... then Prince Oberyn will fight for Tyrion.

AND THIS is the climatic battle that has been brewing all season long.

It makes sense. (to me)

Oberyn has wanted to kill the Mountain since he first got to King's Landing.

And that shit will be on some TROY shit.

Prince Oberyn gonna go all 'Brad Pitt' on Boagrius... I mean The Mountain.

Wait for it.
damn my dude...I just finished the episode and came in here geeked to spit my theory...and see u beat me to it. this is EXACTLY how i see shit playing out.

 called it...spot on

damn, two books to go plus the two that haven't even been released yet.

I don't see how they are going to wrap this show up in three more seasons.

I don't see it either

the 4th (a feast for crows) and 5th (a dance with dragons) book occur during the same time span but deal with different characters.

So I guess season 5 will be those two books combined and I guess they figure season's 6 and 7 will deal with the last two books even though there is no way they'll be released by then.

IMO the show fucked up when they got rid of the original actor who played the Mountain in season 1:

Dude looks much more intimidating and fits the part. The other two, including this new one, were just big.

The original actor who played the Mountain left the show, because it was conflicting when his schedule with "The Hobbit"....I guess,he chose "The Hobbit" over the show

Littlefinger is truly the only one that is on Tywin Lannister's level.

Duke has everything planned out month's, years ahead down to the detail.

Every other character on this show is just now reacting to shit he planned and put in motion months ago.

And then to marry Lysa Aaryn (knowing he's going to kill her all along), getting Sansa away from the Lannisters by putting suspicion of her involvement in Joffrey's murder on her, set up Tyrion for the murder so he can be killed for it, allowing him to then marry Sansa since they are both widower's which will not only give him Lysa Aaryn's money, power, castle, etc. but will also allow him to take over Winterfell (since everyone believe's every other heir is dead).

Too bad Tyrion isn't going to die and Bran and Rickon are still alive which kills all his plans but damn dude is a beast.

I wouldn't say he planned the whole thing, but it did give him many options, whenver his plans succeed..That's why I love that Chaos speech,so much, because everybody is too busy fighting one another and not even looking at Little Finger's way....

Yeah that chaos is a ladder scene is one of the best scenes on this show and thats saying a lot.

c/s

I've never seen an episode of Game of Thrones
Whats the big deal about this tv show
This is a 170+ page thread

Is it kinda like lord of the rings, but in a tv series?

:confused::confused::confused:

I think the scene with stannis wife "queen selyse", and Melly was a trip.

Selyse wanted to taste that "fiyah", or it seems that way...

Nah I think she was just feeling inferior.

Seeing the woman she knows her husband had an affair with and who now enjoys so much influence over him naked and looking beautiful just made her feel even more unsure of herself and insecure when it comes to her place and importance with Stannis.

Easiest way for you to find out is to watch.
There is a lot that goes on in the show and the books that give the show its character. I mean think about it a extra long thread on BGOL where naked females aren't the main topic. Must be something yes...

Peace

This shit is for GROWN UPS. Believe it.

Every week... They got Errything up in this bitch - lol.:rolleyes:

Sex + Violence + Politics + Drama + Dragons + Swordplay + Nudity + Comedy + Nuccas Going Ham + Betrayal + Double Crossing + Great Dialogue + Great Acting + Great Directing... and all types of salacious shit.

This show got everything. Real Talk.

It's not TV... It's HBO.

If you liked The Wire, or The Sopranos.... you will probably love this show too.

Don't jump right in the middle. (we're in Season 4 now) Or you will miss ALOT.

I'm not disagreeing with you.

Think about it like this, due to your points, and the system women live in during this type of social structure. Would it surprise you if she was some what intrigued with the mistress?

This is Selyse we are talking about. She has fully bought into the Lord of Light religion. She is willing to do what it takes to gain power for herself *including killing her brother*. I'm pretty sure if Melly told her to lick her fiery hole, she would do it with a smile.

Anytime a woman feels inferior to another woman, there's some sexual attraction there.

Yeah it could be but I don't really think its that but its possible.

The thing that makes me think it was more about insecurity vs. attraction is Melisandre's reaction to her.

She seemed to reveal her secrets to Selyse and even boost her up by downplaying herself and her abilities. It seemed like she sensed her lack of confidence and inferiority and tried to alleviate it by hyping her up, even allowing her to look into the flames.

Outlaw OC is pretty much on point

When she asked Melisandre if she used that potion in order to make Stannis lust after her that pretty much told me she is incredibly insecure about herself and her relationship with Stannis.

I don't know they did use a lot of nudity and fucking in the first couple of seasons to draw us in

Exactly.

Her relationship with Stannis is a cold, love less one. She's had a lot of miscarriages and the only child she was able to birth is a female born with a defect.

Melisandre on the other hand is sexy, powerful, and has a great deal of influence over her husband.
