Official 2014 NBA Playoffs thread

man please don't even begin to try to put none of this on westbrook.

not any of it.

Exactly

Who was he going to pass to, KD?

And the other players are fuckin useless. They don't stand around like Robert Horry and Steve Kerr for the three.

That was a Mavericks-like loss. Horrible.

Gundy low key calling Brooks out at the end.

He needed to be called out

They got lucky they got a last shot. :smh:

that was a horrible shot. he had time to attack the basket.

not really.

this game is on brooks and durant. westbrook played a damn near perfect game. every time the clippers came back it's not a coincidence it was when westbrook was on the bench.

there is no way durant shouldn't be clapping for the ball every time down to get his shot over cp3...

and then when durant did get the ball he's just tossing turnovers for fast breaks to give the clippers confidence.

he did that shit like 3 times in a row.

Naw, this shit is not on WB. He was eating Collins alive at the end. Durant not being on the fucking block is what got me heated over here.

There is no way that Chris Paul at 6'0" should be able to guard 7' Kevin Durrant. Durrant needs to go down low and post his short ass up. Kevin needs to get in the weight room and develop a low post, post up game.

Corrected.

Could anybody imagine Chris Paul guarding Lebron James, Mike Jordan or Magic. They all would take Paul down low and cook him. Durrant's frail ass posts up at the 3 point line. Coach Brooks needs to tell his ass to take Paul in the paint and post up.

Westbrook wasn't turning the ball over causing fast breaks to get the clippers in the game.

Westbrook wasn't letting someone who shouldn't be able to guard him, lock him up.

Westbrook didn't realize they needed to foul with 27 seconds left.

@ sankofa, look at the replay westbrook got the ball, there were 3 clippers near and around the lane ready for him.

Nice win for the Clippers.

Doc Rivers had to have a 'heart to heart' talk with his point guard (Collison) in the final seconds, away from everyone else.

Great coaching.

"Tell 'em DOC!! Let 'em Know how this is gonna go down."

You gotta love that bruh. Doc's a real leader along with being a great teacher

Durant had the hot hands but the ball ends up with Westbrook.

Hot hands? Did you see another game?

Dude needs to get in the weight room like KG did.

KG became skinny strong.

Westbrook was ballin'
And I would like to put my tongue on Sage...

I saw it was a 22pt lead and I said the game was over and when out to run some errands... then I get a fuckin notification from bleacher report clippers won lmaooooo

OKC some funny style ass niggas

his best option was to pull up 3 feet behind the 3 pt. line? that was the best shot he could have gotten at that time?

look at the play again.

first he didn't get the rebound he got the pass. next you had durant on the other side of the court and nobody open or even trying really just watching to go with 3 clippers from the elbow down to the lane.

i don't know if it was the absolute best shot.. but it was a good look and anything else would be putting the game in the refs hands where nobody on either side should trust.

On a side node, DOC RIVERS!!

Love him as a coach.

You gotta love that bruh. Doc's a real leader along with being a great teacher

^^^ :yes::yes::yes:

That was some MASTERFUL coaching, right there.

- Falling behind by 20+ in the 1st quarter...
- Putting the right lineups in the game...
- Motivating his team to keep their heads up...
- Putting a shorter man on KD (which threw him off his game)
- Calling the right plays...
- But also knowing when to step back and... 'just let them play ball'.

Well done.

what makes it worse is, if brooks see's that durant isn't getting into good areas and they insist on putting cp3 on him and keeping collison on westbrook. all you have to do is run a pick and roll with westbrook and durant, if they switch then collison is on durant and that's easy money, if they don't westbrook gets to the rim easily every time while collison is trying to recover

that simple fix makes them get either cp3 or collison OFF of one of those players.

why is brooks a coach?

Russ didn't have any options. There really wasn't any time on the clock left.

I know lol. This game is on druant going passive and not demanding the ball and getting the ball and forcing them to take cp3 off of him. he turned the ball over 3 times that let directly to 6 points, it was almost an assist.

if he can't get down low, then get to the elbow QUICKLY and then work from there.

give it to someone else and have them hand it to him run a screen for westbrook to post up collison.. he has posted up cp3 and collison with NO PROBLEM

you mean to tell me westbrook can post up and eat cp3 alive but durant can't?

:smh:

There were two opportunities to get the ball to Durant. First time was after the rebound and just before the pass to Westbrook. The second tine was when Russell reached half court. After the rebound you could see Durant with his hand in the air asking for the ball.

Westbrook didn't do anything wrong but the ball should've went to Durant.

Mark Cuban just called out Brooks.

I hate how tv commentators will never say anything about coaching mistakes #coachingmatters

I hate that shit, because they will criticize the player.

And it just continues to talking point of Russ fuckin up that a lot in the media want to run with.

And this idiot

No way Scott Brooks deserves any criticism for this collapse. Durant and Westbrook pretty much do what they want. Your turn/my turn

Damn, and I thought it was the coaches job to control the players :smh:

I can have them run isos a whole season and they will win 50 games.

The real MVP was your momma KD ? damn can she suit up and guard Jamal Crawford or Collison?

pass it to him from the beginning imo.

it's not like they were playing with time or had a timeout left. durant gotta run right to the ball when seffalosa get's that rebound and say give it to me, not float up the court with his hands raised.

this is what has been happening, ive been saying this shit for 3 years now. 3 damn years. the players do what the coaches tell them, if they don't they get traded or they don't play. it's as simple as that. so when you see westbrook shoot you see durant shoot you see them not run pick and roll, you see fisher and reggie jackson wave off durant to go 1 on 1.. there is 1 reason why, brooks allows it.

But OKC will continue to hold onto Scott Brooks

You're right he did need to demand the ball a bit more. I was just pointing out there were two instances where he could've received the ball plus he was open. It all happened so quick so Russell did the best he could.

Doc Rivers is a very good coach. Very good, and an even better motivator and leader. But lets not complicate things or overcelebrate him here. This win is not on him. Its on Scott Brooks and his refusal or inability to fucking adjust and coach on even the most basic of levels.

Players get 20 point leads. Coaching keeps them.
