Contracts are already a thing of the past most companies have month to month set ups that are cheaper than the contracts and do all the same things. I let my Verizon contract finish and I had been with Verizon 10 years. I'm still with Verizon month to month cut my bill in half.
How much is your bill every month?

20 for my wife's device payment plan (drops off when phone is paid off)
I am to, I'm about sick of Verizon high ass. It's time to move on but I am under contract and I am not paying no $350 to get out.

This! My shit ends Jan 6th. I'm still on the grandfathered unlimited 4g with VZW but would have to cop a new phone at full price to stay that way and have a new device
T-Mobile service is good around large metro areas but once you get outta the city limits it goes down hill fast.
I have both T-Mobile and AT&T, AT&T is definitely better when traveling between cities.
Both use GSM network, which I prefer over CDMA.

They all ream you when you go over.I signed up for whatever service where you can upgrade whenever you want back in July when I got this S4. They'll ream you if you go over on data.

I'm looking to make a move to T-Mobile. I used to be on the road a lot for work, but I don't need the rural coverage anymore. T-Mobile should be just fine for my needs.

70 a month full unthrottled 4g lte data unlimited.
I cant really co-sign though. I live about 2 miles from downtown ATL and my service was atrocious.
I have T-mobile and the service is great in the city. Rarely, I'll lose reception in the country but I never have a problem and I drive long distances occasionally.
I have the $70 buck plan with unlimited talk, text and data with no throttling and tethering. That international data shit is the best. I was in the DR on twitter, facebook, instagram, internet with no problem!
I've been with T-Mobile since they were voicestream so they give my all the hook-ups first.
Moreover, that shit with Sprint aint happening. T-Mobile was actually sold to Verizon, i think, and AT&T blocked that shit like a goalie. The government agreed saying it would limit competition so no way they'll allow Spring to purchase them.
I got two months left until I'm able to jump up to that Note 3 and a nigga can't wait!

Remember AT&T and Cingular? Because there would still be three major carriers.
They wouldn't have done 1 and 4, because Sprint was already suffering, which would have helped AT&T or Verizon go after them.
Now with Softbanks money Sprint is pretty strong financially...they just need to work on keeping and getting customers.

the other silly thing about this article is that att is trying to move away from the contract model with their phone leasing option. which means that people are now paying for the phone over time or paying full retail upfront.
att no longer wants to subsidize equipment. they are pushing that shit hard. so if a customer is leasing a phone from att how likely are they to jump ship. interesting question to ponder.

Last week, facing pressure from the Federal Communications Commission, the major wireless carriers promised to unlock mobile devices so that they can be used on other carriers' networks when the customer's contract has expired. This follows the outcry early this year over the Library of Congress's decision to remove legal protection against Digital Millennium Copyright Act suits for people who unlock their devices to change carriers. We're happy to see the FCC take a stand and demand action from the wireless carriers, although the root of the problem—the DMCA's broad and inflexible ban on circumventing digital locks—remains for Congress to fix.
